I don’t remember what movie it was, but a kid in the movie screwed up. They did something bad at school, and when the news got back to their parents, (I believe it was the dad, but could be the mom) the dad went to the school with their kid, and defended the kid until the end. They accepted the punishment, but supported their kid and never ganged up on them with the principle. When they got home, the dad turn around with a face we’ve probably all seen on someone. That, I’m not mad, just disappointed face. Then had a long discussion with the kid about what had happened, why the kid reacted that way, why the kid was in the wrong, and how to better deal with the situation next time. I believe the situation was more ambiguous, like the kid was being bullied, but had physically attacked the other student so that’s why they were in the wrong (the bullies never hurt the kid physically). I imagine it’s hard to understand why the kid being bullied would be wrong then, especially for the parent and kid themself. So I just thought it was really awesome how the father handled the situation, even if it was in a movie.
In most subtle cases I believe that the child is overreacting or just doesn’t have a full grasp on the situation, though as a parent you should never just brush it off, you should listen to the kid. And as you said you can tell when something is serious, though it’s not often that it happens.

Was I on my own with that or something or is it maybe just a British thing? As somebody who regularly goes to graveyards I'd have thought he'd be more courteous.
Same here, I'm from Venezuela and I was always told to not walk on graves out of respect. Recently I went through a very old graveyard in Ireland (some graves are even from the 11th century) and was trying to be as cautious as I could while walking around the graves.
Australian here. I also go regularly to the cemetery, and yeah i'm in my twenties now, but i was always taught from an early age to never walk or step on people’s graves.
I would try to research to try and find out who that lifeguard was. I know it’s a longshot, but I would want to confront her, as well as try and find out if she tried it again.
I believe the life guard story. As a punk kid I've pissed off a lifeguards with horseplay and they similar to me and my friends to teach us a lesson. Left us the towel room, locked the door and left. We were locked there until 8pm closing that day when the closer found us.
I am all about woman power, I can protect myself, and I never leave my house without my Glock on me. However, what kind of man has his girlfriend walk to a store at 3am. to get more juice for their drink, especially knowing she has already 1.5 drinks. My husband would not be ok with that even if I had my Glock.
Ok, so theory for story 10. I heard this earlier in the week on another channel and the thought popped into my head “what if the bf is setting it up so she becomes so dependent on him to rescue her.” Now, I know it sounds crazy, but at the end she says “I don’t know why this keeps happening, I’m sick of it.” Any thoughts on this?
Story 10..the chick says at the end she doesn't understand why "that" keeps happening to her and she's sick of it. I don't know if she's naive or what. A young female walking alone in the middle of the night. That's why "it' keeps happening to you. It doesn't matter if the store is 3 minutes away. Don't walk alone in the middle of the night. Even for three minutes. Period. The world isn't Kind. Even for males.

I wish that people who were cruel to Animals and kids could be given the same treatment. For example, lock the lifeguard in a sauna...make the dog fighters fight, with eachother, etc. Sadly, we don't live in a fair world...
Story 2: We believe you, OP. That lifeguard is a psychopath and your parents are awful for not believing you. If that lifeguard still works there, please report her before she can harm any more innocent children. I doubt you were her first or last victims.
Story 2- For real though, what WAS the endgame?? It's not like she knew those kids personally. And even if she did, it STILL wouldn't have made what that "lifeguard" did right

@@Sugar_The_Cowgirl I’m glad , the stories help me too, it sounds rough and I hope your healing path is as smooth as possible, please just keep yourself safe, #1, you seem like a kind, sensitive person, remember, you deserve the best ❤️
I was just reading that magnesium is beneficial for stress, anxiety, sleep, I’m going to try it, they say takes about 8 weeks to kick in, I hope I’m not bugging you
Shopping for an hour and a half in TJ Maxx is the real terrifying part of that story. My condolences.
For a second I thought they were gonna say that they seriously considered selling the grandma. 🤣
Omg that story truly was from another era. It’s mind boggling anyone could be so naive today.
Story 4, I thought it was just general etiquette to not stand on a grave. Since I was a kid I had it drilled I to me never to walk over somebody.
Yeah, I'm from Austria and I've been taught to not stand on graves, I think that's pretty universal.
From the UK too and yeah always known not to stand on graves, so disrespectful!
Australian here. I also go regularly to the cemetery, and yeah i'm in my twenties now, but i was always taught from an early age to never walk or step on people’s graves.
Americans were told that too...at least in the older generations. Kids aren't taught anything about respect now.
Starved is harmed and that poor dog deserved better than to be ignored.
😂yr closing comments really crack us up ❣️
every monday, wednesday and friday is blessed with new uploads by this fantastic channel.
Thank you Joel can’t wait to hear 😎😎
Parents... listen to your kids.
Right!
Omg. What kind of monster tries to kill little kids under their watch?
I would try to research to try and find out who that lifeguard was. I know it’s a longshot, but I would want to confront her, as well as try and find out if she tried it again.
Love your narrations :)
Just got home from a snow day let’s goo! ❄️
If I were those girls about to die in a sauna, I would've tried to break the glass on the door. Nevermind the damage fees, living is better than dying
I believe the life guard story. As a punk kid I've pissed off a lifeguards with horseplay and they similar to me and my friends to teach us a lesson. Left us the towel room, locked the door and left. We were locked there until 8pm closing that day when the closer found us.
Thank it was a great drive home stories
She was trying to harm you. I can’t believe parents that don’t believe there children
What kind of shitty excuse of a man would let their girlfriend go walking to get more alcohol at 3 am ALONE ?
I am all about woman power, I can protect myself, and I never leave my house without my Glock on me. However, what kind of man has his girlfriend walk to a store at 3am. to get more juice for their drink, especially knowing she has already 1.5 drinks. My husband would not be ok with that even if I had my Glock.
A pos!!!
Poor froggy 🥺
Ok, so theory for story 10. I heard this earlier in the week on another channel and the thought popped into my head “what if the bf is setting it up so she becomes so dependent on him to rescue her.” Now, I know it sounds crazy, but at the end she says “I don’t know why this keeps happening, I’m sick of it.” Any thoughts on this?
Yes......that wasn't just a frog : (
Love you brother thank you
Story 10..the chick says at the end she doesn't understand why "that" keeps happening to her and she's sick of it.
Thanx u, for the new content gets me through the work day!
Poor frog 😢
Shut up
I listen constantly thank you so much for what you do I appreciate your videos, I listen while I tattoo
I've watched most of not all of your videos and these parents get on my nerves when they don't believe their children or at least check into a claim so serious🙄I have 2 girls I would never not take something like that serious
That ending though... 😂
all the endings are amazing
Just got in bed and Boom Notification Let's read 😎😎
JUST IN TIME for my evening walk!
when I was like 7 my dad told me if anyone tried to pick me up from school, I had to ask them what my dad's favorite song was and the answer had to be listen to the music by the doobie brothers. the situation never came up and my dad was barely involved in my life anyway, but at least he was concerned for my safety lol
Yep, we had a code word as well!
Wonderful like always!!!
Love youuu❤
The Civil War one gave me goosebumps.
❤❤❤
Hey Joel 👋
Happy new year let’s read
I'm more worried about the fact that they said the dog looked like it had given birth recently and no one looked for puppies.😔
It's scary how cruel kids can be
you got the perfect voice for this
"Why does no-one like my son?" 😫
The soldiers POV during a nuclear bomb test intro is my favorite.
Humans are more dangerous than any animals could ever be, a sad world we live in 🤦🏻♀️🙄
Best story teller… like I’m there
I wish that people who were cruel to Animals and kids could be given the same treatment. For example, lock the lifeguard in a sauna...make the dog fighters fight, with eachother, etc. Sadly, we don't live in a fair world...
Stories like no. 7 always make me think of Ted Bundy.
32:45 I’m guessing they were breeding the dog for the dog fights 😢
Those "go out & play" days were the best EVER!
Wooooo!
I def think that lifeguard tried something. The parents ….. wtf
I have a creepy neighbour horror stalking story I would like to submit someday, currently in the middle of it tho 😃
oof, good luck yo :/
I think that lifeguard wanted you guys to cook....
Hi love you’re voice
The what at the end 😂
Hi Joel! Been a huge fan for years!! I also listen to your podcast! Love the content ❤❤
For the first, that kid was most likely a psychopath in the making. Even if it is just a frog, that's how it starts.
Most parents shouldn't be parents, seriously.
Your voice is pretty chill
Tennis lessons guy sounds like Albert Fish for sure
Story 2: We believe you, OP. That lifeguard is a psychopath and your parents are awful for not believing you. If that lifeguard still works there, please report her before she can harm any more innocent children. I doubt you were her first or last victims.
My parents never believed us either.
Story 2- For real though, what WAS the endgame?? It's not like she knew those kids personally. And even if she did, it STILL wouldn't have made what that "lifeguard" did right
😩 I have a crippling fear of frogs... I was zoned out till I heard the part about a "terrified frog" and cutting it up...I fast-forwarded so fast!!
Wellp... All I can say is I'm glad there's a little tune that plays at the end of every story 🙂
Hey Ninja where you at ? Have a Wonderful day Friends . 🙏🏻
Hope you're taking care of yourself
Also scary is the fact that the scumbags in these stories are our co-workers, neighbors, and maybe friends and relatives. Most of them are mostly decent, just preying (in one sense or another) on some people sometimes.
Lord Let's Read ❄️🌨️🤍
41:10 did he say what I think he said? Lmao
Story 2. I need that lifeguard in jail!! 😠😠
No, who are you looking for? Because I know it ain't me. Then you scream fire at the top of your lungs!
1st, BELIEVE YOUR CHILDREN WHEN THEY SAY SOMETHING HAPPENED!! 2nd, WHY send a younger female to walk out another female who is scared/being followed? What if the employee was grabbed from that dark parking lot instead? If there are no male employees to do it, CALL THE COPS INSTEAD! Ugh 🤦🏽♀️
