      But the one roommate was "farm strong" so they had nothing to worry about... Even though at the beginning of the story the writer says she's 5'6" tall and by far the tallest. So her "farm strong" friend was what, maybe 5'2"? I kinda wish the guys had broken in and the farm strong girl got powerbombed through a wall.

      Oh pls that story is so fake. Too much imagination, great built up of tension but not true. If bad guys wanted to get inside the house, they would find ways to do it, not wait around for police and meekly knocking on front doors. Also the dispatcher said the police is on the way with sirens off suddenly one of the girl says" .. the sound of sirens", hmmm. Also, 2 guys to break into a house with 4 girls to do bad things to them? Sounds like a big bite. Not buying this one. Don't be gullible

    For the third story, the parents are either lazy, ignorant or hate their daughters. First, DON'T raise your kids to always be sweet and polite. Civil, sure. Respectful, yes, but not ALWAYS polite - it sets them up badly for the rest of their lives. They didn't instill much sense of safety in their kids and then made excuses for the perpetrators. While they might be otherwise loving, they seem irresponsible and horrible.

    Bleed air is compressed air coming from the compressor section of a jet engine. This bleed air is routed through the ECS (Environment Control System). The ECS provides the correct temperature of air to the cabin and avionics system. Pressurization is regulated by the amount of cabin air allowed to escape. Generally speaking, bleed air is provided by the jet engines, as opposed to the APU (Auxiliary Power Unit). The main purpose for the APU is to provide electrical power when the engines are not running and bleed air to start the engines. You'll remember the air conditioning going off when the engines are started.

    there are some holes in the first story, major one that took my attention is, I blieve the APU is not designed to be used in normal flights. pressurisation from engine no.1 would be well enough. also, as long as you keep beneath 12000 feet, you dont actually need pressurisation. also also, that was not the "rapid depressureisation". it was a slow one (given the slow one is actually harder to detect, because hypoxia will have taken affect on human body before it can be "visibly symptomised"), not using the correct terminology says to me that the person is not actually a pilot.
    on a more subjective note; Japanese tourists were the main ones to be disgruntled by the delay? really?

      @chiyerano 2 года назад +1

      Perhaps the person didn't use the specific technical terminology and used more layman's terms so that more people who aren't in the aviation industry could understand the story. I can totally see how the aircraft used had malfunctioning APU as airlines sometimes allow less than fully functional aircraft to be used to save money and time unfortunately. Also, why is it so hard to believe that Japanese travelers would be disgruntled at least until the language barrier was dealt with?
