With regards to the witch hair story. My mom, now 78, is a 1st generation south African of Irish heritage, and she used to burn our hair once it was cut off, to 'prevent us getting cursed' by 'witchdoctors' or witches. I'm Wiccan. So not a Witch Doctor, but I am a Witch. While I understand her concern, no one is going to curse you unless you've wronged them. Then it's still not really likely bc most of us are peaceful Witches or it's used as an absolute last resort. It's dangerous and can backfire on you if done wrong. I mean yes, u do need hair, skin, or something like that. But burning or burying the hair isn't going to completely save you from being cursed tbh. I have insomnia to the point we're I don't sleep for two days I've tried all types of meds but Joel narrating really does help me sleep and Ive been listening for a couple of years now. I first started when I was in sixth or seventh grade but now Im a junior in highschool
Try putting your phone on airplane mode and limiting blue light before bed. I’m learning healthy sleep hygiene and routine as a 30 year old not. It’s critical!
Have you tried getting sleep meds prescribed? I take trazodone and it knocks me out like a mf light. Without it I can’t fall asleep until I literally pass out but with it I sleep within a couple hours. That combined with these videos, making sure my screen is either off or not putting any light on me, and getting my room as dark and quiet as possible has really helped with my insomnia.
Story number 4: I have a story about the randomness of life at places where people vacation. When was 12 or 13, my dad took us (him, my mom, my siblings and I) out on his boat. I can't remember what holiday it was, but it was a long weekend, that much, I do remember. It was great time, honestly. While we were on the lake, we see small airplane flying overhead and my dad says, "They're flying way too low." So, we head off to this island where his side of the family usually meets up, have lunch, swim a little before we decide to go for a ride before he takes the boat out of the water. We do that and are heading back to the dock when we see the Coast Guard circling this spot near the marina, looking as though they're dragging the lake. Turns out the plane that was flying too low ended up planting itself in the lake. Both of the people onboard died. I remember we watched the Coast Guard for a bit, talking with some of the other people who had stopped before my dad got us to the marina, pulled the boat out and took us home. That's the first time I thought about that in long time. Crazy stuff happens, folks, always watch your ass.

The true horror here is that there are still people who see everyday symptoms of common disabilities and recoil and panic because they think disabled people are "creepy". 😡

Man...... That last story. I had a dream about something like that. I was taking a shower in my dream, I felt someone looking at me and, in this dream, on the opposite end of the shower curtains, there is a window (that is inside the shower). I am in a small apartment complex that resembled one of an ex of mine and. Across this window, of the shower I am in, there is a small alleyway and another small apartment complex and a shower window facing directly in front of mine. I look across and see a man, with cartoonishly large eyes and a large smile that was very unsettling. It freaked me the hell out and it began sort of dance swaying from one end of the shower to the next. I felt it could burst through the window and run towards me at high speeds at any moment. But instead of staying fearful, i instead began to feel a kind of wonder, as I was looking at this freakish human dancing in the shower and then i noticed I was doing the exact same sway dance that the person was doing. At this point I kind of went from fear to laughter as this amused me. It almost felt like I was in control of this weird person across from me. I can't lie though, when the couple was describing almost exactly what I saw in my dream, and the fact that it was in the shower, made my hair stand on end because that is a crazy ass coincidence.
I grew up not far from little butte cemetery I would drive my truck off the butte and sometimes I would look in the bed of my pickup and there would be a shadow in it
