Pretty happy to see a true stories video that isn't just a bunch of Reddit stories. Especially from one of my favourite narrators. Keep up the good work, king.
I'm absolutely stunned to suddenly hear about the Carlos Seabra case 😨 I never expect to hear about portuguese cases on foreign channels or podcasts (besides the Madeleine case), plus this case was so weird and has a few bizarre details that I'm surprised it's not talked about more often. Great and intense video! I'm always looking forward for your videos!
Her suffering and death are truly repulsive and undeserved, but would any journalist be stupid enough to go with a stranger, alone, on their property (especially something as remote and enclosed as a submarine), without camera personal (or a work partner if possible) or a weapon just in case? I mean, really, a stranger inviting you ou in the sea or a lake, alone, is not a red flag? I know good, proper (and non-regressive left) journalists take risks, but there are risks even they should not take.
@@NightEyeStudio1995 Besides, I clearly meant to 'undeserved' in the original comment. The lady's death was not her fault, of course, but if the poor fool had not done something so obviously, foolishly naive, she might just still be with us.
@@MirrenTheDragonKnight: He must have been a prominent figure for her to request an interview with him to start with. He was a manufacturer of submarines, it wouldn't have seemed so out of the ordinary to conduct an interview about himself in the very thing he was most known for. What should have been an awesome interview and experience for her inside of a submarine, ended with her rape and murder, something I'm sure she never suspected. Sometimes red flags are camouflaged and can only be seen in hindsight.
I forget sometimes how brave and how much dedication these reporters go through to chase a story that can expose something as large as a criminal enterprise or government corruption and the risks they take are sometimes the ultimate price to get their story out to us people. Thank you to those brave reporters and journalists. 🙏
I listen to so many scary stories on here that I get excited whenever one of you guys post a new video ❤❤❤ Happy New Year and can't wait to see what you'll give us next year! 😊

I've been waiting so long for you to cover Story 2 (7:22) since it's such a brutal murder case (and as a Dane I love to see my country represented ;)). I can die happy now.
For someone so smart, he was incredibly dumb to think he could be the last person to see her alive and get away with such an absurd story to explain why he came back and she didn't.
The Kim Wall case was so horrifying. I’m Swedish and I closely followed it from the start, it really shocked the entire country. I hope that psycho stays in prison for life. He murdered her purely because of some sick enjoyment.
Just a piece of trivia: Mexico doesn't have trial by peers. Anyway, I recently found your channel, and I am enjoying it so much. Going into binge watch mode!
One down I say hope everyone had a great Christmas 🎄🎄 and moving on to the end of the year a stress-free new year!!thanks for this up load Joel!🖤🖤🖤🍻🍻🍻🥂🥂🥂🎉🎉🎉🎉😘😘😘
I'm sorry but the news guys saying there was racial problems was a psycho already in the making as he killed both of his cats. I can get real angry but I would never kill my dog because of it.
55:34: I love how after reading all those disturbing stories about mutilation, murder and torture, he says "Hey, friends! 😊" In a bright cheerful voice. 😆
On story 5, I find it ironic that a group who fights to exercise their supposed first amendment right, would want someone dead who's expressing theirs. He must have been making some real good points huh?
The submarine story was truly disturbing. It must've been so terrifying for that poor woman to know that no one could hear her scream, and there was literally no way of escaping.
I can't believe you covered the whole Carlos Castro/Renato Seabra ordeal. It truly shook my country (Portugal). I remember it so clearly, it was awful.
one that should've been included is the turkish guy reporting on the saudi govt's corruption who was assassinated by a terror group that was close to said govt. i believe year 2017
My Portuguese ass chilling, listening to this while I work, and being hit by the Carlos Castro story, and remembering all the news stories in Portugal when it happened. It was a huge deal here, especially due to the brutal nature of the murder, I remember how shocked evveryone was, especially due to how beloved Carlos Castro was to everyone who knew him and his career.
This reminds me of an incident involving a journalist that dealt with doing wartime stories. What I do remember is that I was doing a report on journalism when I was a kid and since my dad knew of the journalist and that he lived nearby, we visited him and I got what I needed for my project and mind you from what I was told, the guy was going through some trauma or something cause of the job but when I spoke with him and given I was a child at the time, to me he seemed just fine. But either a few days or weeks later, I guess the guy just snapped and after being chased by cops to a highway bridge that overlooks a hiking trail that's atleast half a mile or more below the bridge, he jumped and.....well yeah I think you can probably see where this is going, when I was told what happened some time after the incident, I was confused cause like I said, to me he seemed fine and mentally sound. Just goes to show that even people you think are fine might not be as fine as you think.
Hope everyone had a good holiday weekend! For those that listen to these stories over on podcast, I'll be releasing weekly over there in 2022. Same schedule here. Woo!
Did you record the second story with your mouth on the left side of the mic?? It's playing a bit louder from my left airpod than the right lol
@@NB-ir1me Maybe its your hardware. Everything's recorded lately in mono, then doubled to stereo. So it should be even

LR's videos are not just getting more scarier, they're getting more intense as well.
Too scary actually. I almost peed myself. Should at least be some warnings. This is almost dangerous. What if I wet myself and get electrocuted?
Was walking home listening to this and kept looking behind me
Love it
Keep it coming

YAAAY
It is awesome&bizarre to be a journalist
Hi. I am from Denmark. Regarding the murder case in Denmark of Kim, Madsen got life in prison, sadly life sentence for murder is only 16 years.
How is that a life sentence then? That's just 16 yrs in prison. That's absurd.
