Lord Let's Read? If you've ever wondered if what you do makes a difference? It does. My 16 & 1/2 year old Papillon died in my arms Thursday morning. I've had about 2 hours sleep in 2 days because my mind is all over the place. I'm eating dinner, laying down & listening to you. Thank you for what you do. Have a great evening all! 🐕🌈👼🏼🙏
Why I love let's read 1)His incredibly soothing narration voice 2)His consistency 3)The length of the videos/podcast 4)His dedication and passion for delivering 100% top notch content for all scary story lovers. 5)How he makes these niche compilations (stalker stories are my personal faves) 6)I could go on and on and on. Thank you Joel for being the best. Listening to your content makes my life more enjoyable.
I am a house keeper and always listen to your stories while working! I can't wait to listen to this one while I clean empty vacation homes up on the mountain alone tomorrow!!! 🙏
I can't listen to these creepypasta type stories while I clean homes alone, I spook myself so badly. I also clean way too slowly trying to pay attention.
I'm always sad when I reach the end of your videos. I could listen to your stories all day and not get bored. Thank you for a new upload and I hope you have a wonderful New Year.
Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if something similar hasn’t happened in real life in America before. Whether it’s an honest prank or an actual murder covered up by bribing the police, it definitely could happen in a nation run by decadent, greedy, and morally deficient wealthy people.
It’s a very good story, but I highly doubt it’s true. Of course these things do happen, but would they leave proof around? Polaroids and she conveniently finds them in chronological order. Sure.
@@Salmakia77 While I was also curious about the order, the narrator doesn't actually say they were. Even mentions shifting through them and laying them on the bed to determine what happened. It's more likely they were loosely organized by time because they happened first downstairs then upstairs, and the narrator, recounting, would primarily remember them in an order that made sense to her. Leaving pictures of the crime when obviously *insanely* wasted isn't implausible. Jodi Arias happened, for one example, and she wasn't at a party with drugs and alcohol. Sure, we don't have proof this story is real, but it's not like things like that never occur
Before. I only listen to let's ready if i wanna go to sleep. But now i'm so hooked that i also listen to it while working out and doing some office stuff. I really really love this channel
Probably because the stories are so badly written. He reads them well, yes. But the stories he chooses are C-student high school level and very trite and cliche. If he chose good stories, then he'd get that million easily.
These are my baking stories. Thank you for the company, you (Let's Read) and the other dark storytellers (Mr. Nightmare, ripshy, night time spooks, whispered diaries, and a few others) kept me company throughout 2022. Thank you for the stories. Can't wait to see/hear what 2023 has in store for all of us. Stay safe
How fun! I also listen to whispered diaries, precisely because I think he has the same calm voice as Lets Read. I know a lot of people in here also listens to southern cannibal and I don't know why but I really don't like his voice and accent. I also always skip his part if he reads one of lets read stories. I assume its my loss 🤷🏼♀️
I've been suffering from depression for years couldn't sleep at nyt till I met you now I just listen to your stories till I fall asleep thank you so much your voice makes me forget all my troubles❤️
🤦 It was written by a high school kid. They make a lot of writing mistakes. They aren't old enough to consider things like whether or not a story makes any sense. This kid played that one low-budget horror game -- one of the ones with the photos, I forget the name. Anyway, this story is just that game with a few details changed.
53,000 subscribers we have left to complete for Lord Joel King of the buttersock to reach his Mega Million. A much deserved number for a narrator like Joel from Lets Read 📚 👏
This kind if stuff happens a ton in upper society because when you have people with too much money and nothing to do they become chaotic and terrifying if given the chance to be. Kinda like that experiment where they gave some regular dudes the authority of guards and told them to be like a guard over thier friends and went crazy. Hmmm. Crazy, i hope. One day, stuff like this will be less as more people get the help they need and money is spread out rather than gathered in a few peoples wallets. Wishful thinking! Lol
Oh the Stanford Prison Experiment, a shining pillar of psychology, ubiquitous experiment example, that turns out was a full-on fraud and is useless? Yeah, I guess it is kinda like that. This isn't an attack at you or your comment; it just eternally irritates me that that iconic experiment was faked (and unethical, which makes it SO much worse). We really can't have anything
The way that people ramble on needlessly in the beginning of their stories. WHY did that first story need their life story about loving to cut hair when they could have started with, "I worked as a stylist until the p*andemic hit." Verbose for no reason.
Huh, I did wonder what that had to do with anything during the story but then forgot. But you're right, there was no reason at all, and had zero impact on the story!
Why didn't the Cleaner in the first story do a walk though first?...I was a hotel cleaner for a very short time and help with an Airbnb...alway do a walk through first. Also alway enjoy a Let Read story!!
What sucks about the story with the Grandma's once it gets to a certain point no matter how much you tell them who you are or show them pictures or explain they still don't know. For a good while I thought my grandmother still knew who we were and everything and we went through the motions and she even acted like she knew who we were and then her last Thanksgiving before she passed away which was in 2020 when covid was going around. We went to see her and have dinner with her for Thanksgiving and she was saying some weird things so I asked her I was like who am I? And she thought I was my mother and I asked her if she knew who my children were and she just started bawling because she had no idea who any of us were but she knew that we were family and she was so scared because she never knew who anyone was or where she was or what was going on and then she passed it a few months later
It's a sad and scary story, I've been through this three times with my grandparents and one of my dogs. Yes, dogs get dementia, too. I feel for that woman in the story because I worry if this could happen to my mom or will this happen to me? I am sorry about your grandma, but am hoping she's at peace. Also, this is what happened to Barbara Walters, this is why she was out of the limelight, she had Alzheimer's or a form of dementia and just recently passed. My love and empathy for all those who have witnessed and lost a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer's.
Your grandmother was very brave, and she sounds like a nice woman at her core. She tried acting like she knew her family when she was probably very scared in her thoughts.
As someone that does housekeeping on the side I'm excited for these! I came across you close to 2 years ago; Thank you for the stories to send me off to dream land and also getting me through long, Long work days. Excited to listen to this year's stories! Happy belated NYE Joel! 🎉🌟
In the story of the Japanese brother who died, if his siblings allowed him to die so they could have more space in the house, why then did they not clear out the room for over 5 years? I'm not saying they didn't allow him to die (or that they did), but the motive of wanting more space in the house doesn't make sense.
I've heard a few stories that in Japan relatives let old ppl die and just don't report it, so they can collect their pensions. Maybe neighbors started to ask too many questions, so they had to report him missing. But why wait another 5 years to clean?
That story about 5 years lost brother (Sumio?)... I can't belive it's true. Do you know how strong is smell of decomposing body? That house would be uninhabitable.
I wonder if Deaf and Blind people can share any scary stories. Also Bad Marriage scary stories but I think you’ve covered some of those. I’m hooked TY for your excellent content:)
First story is either fiction or the girl in trunk was in on the joke and they left those photos to shock whoever was sent to clean up. Think about it, why would u leave evidence of a crime like that, when it can be easily traced back to u. Elaborate shock joke 100%
I think the person with the large apartment played an elaborate prank on their cleaning lady. Either that, or the whole thing is fake. It was written as a creepy pasta-type story. I guess it could have also been some sort of really hard core s&m. People do need safe words for a reason.

Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if something similar hasn’t happened in real life in America before. Whether it’s an honest prank or an actual murder covered up by bribing the police, it definitely could happen in a nation run by decadent, greedy, and morally deficient wealthy people.
I saw a study once, that showed the wealthier a person is, the less empathy they tend to have for others.
