On the Continue/Game Over screen, Sonic's all like "Big deal! I'm not continuing this horrible game! Being slow is already bad enough! I'm just gonna stay here while letting the timer run out so I can get a Game Over and I don't care!" as if he doesn't care about losing all of his lives in this game.
