      @smoothie3993 Месяц назад +30

@@grimmpoetics313 your logic is exactly what they decided to take and run with, if you’re the one doing the behaviour and blaming trauma it’s an excuse because if you’re self aware enough to know why you do it you’re self aware enough to stop. I’ve been through trauma and the only people who end up blaming trauma for their behaviours are surrounded by people who enable them to be awful people trauma or not they’re surrounded by people who won’t let them face consequences. Her husband is “toxic” because he’s probably one of the first people who’ve ever told her no.
Not everyone is able to discern whether trauma is real or an attempt to get attention, not everyone who claims to have trauma wants attention and pity yet people who don’t know any better assume if they say they have trauma they want attention.
If it’s a long term thing they’ve been doing and aren’t in treatment it’s an excuse and the people closest to them would know, not the person being told. The person being told is just the next potential doormat.
If the trauma is real you don’t often tell people, mainly because people will think you’re an attention seeker and use it against you since to a lot of people it makes you a liar or crazy and incapable.

It could go either way really. It could be that he wasn't really toxic and her perception was just "he doesn't give in to my ridiculous demands, therefore he is toxic".
On the other hand, people tend to end up in patterns, and a lot of people who fall for scams fall for them precisely BECAUSE they've gone through a string of toxic relationships that have warped their perception of romance and that stopped them from spotting the red flags.
Like the scammers jumping immediately to "I love you" within a short interaction and then mooching money off of you doesn't seem so strange if several of your IRL boyfriends have done exactly the same thing.

Already, the biggest elephants in the room, other than herself, is the fact she considers her supportive husband “toxic”, complains about limited funds access, gives large sums of money to a stranger rather than focusing on her own daughter, and worst of all, she refuses to accept responsibility of her own flaws. I do hope the husband gains custody of the daughter cuz this woman is definitely not fit to be a mom, nor does she care about the values of others except for herself.

The lady even said something along the lines of; "That's why I got ahold of you guys~"
I they were more honest/vindictive towards these people, I don't think they'd ever have people reaching out to them for these stories to begin with.
Personally, I'd still try and find a way to educate/point out their wrongdoings, so that (at the very least) they're more aware of their actions, but (perhaps) these people know what they did was wrong/fucked up and are just too ashamed to admit it. Hard to tell sometimes, esp. with these shows.

27:08 don’t forget she has a daughter she didn’t even consider.
I have trauma and as I have told my husband, trauma isn’t an excuse to treat someone else badly or do bad things.
We all have a choice. We can get better and be better or be a perpetual victim and be awful.

If you still don't understand you're being scammed when they start asking you for gift cards, there is no hope for you. She is the reason why scams are still successful.

Delululand. Btw, pink is Dane's color. It looks fire on him and I bet that it would be even better if it was in a brighter pink to set off his hair and complexion.
I need the ex-husband's side of the story. I need a play by play comparison.

Sorry. Someone dumb enough to believe this /do this deserves all the grief it causes. The person who DOESN'T deserve it is her poor daughter. Imagine having a mother who does this. Sends 10 grand to a scammer believing some actor she has never talked to is in love with her.

I wish that I had the moral depravity to do this to people because it just looks so easy. This woman is so desperate you could tell her anything and she’d believe it. But then there’s this little thing called a conscience that says you can’t do that to other people. What if that was you. damn conscience

This reminds me of a story I heard yesterday about a 73-year-old man who was catfished by someone claiming to be a particular pro wrestler. He got scammed out of nearly a million dollars, cleaning out his entire retirement fund and apparently trying to do the same with his granddaughter’s college fund. He even sued his son over it after his son realized he was being scammed and tried having his bank account frozen for his own good.

@@nosenseinme4354 The story I heard was Alexa Bliss, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was one with Liv too. Seems like these "I'm gorgeous and slightly famous, please send me money because I've fallen on hard times" scams are a dime a dozen anymore.
