Do you think Huehnergard is ok for a total beginner? I am asking specifically since the PDF is free on his academia page. I also have access to the new textbook by Gordon Hugenberger. Do you think this sufficient , or should I still buy Worthington anyway?
I think Huehnergard's grammar is fantastic. l like the way Worthington's book explains things but this is just a personal preference. Huehnergard's book has everything you need to learn Akkadian. I'm going to attach a link to his pdf on academia.edu in case anyone else wants to check it out as this is a great resource and FREE www.academia.edu/234695/2011_A_Grammar_of_Akkadian_3rd_edition_
