Me encanta como explicas tus videos!! Son cortos pero muy sustanciales. Lo que nos recuerda constantemente que, devorar no es digerir. Eres muy claro, conciso, concreto y tus ejemplos y ejercicios ilustran perfectamente tu didáctica exposición. Muchas felicidades!! Tus clases son el mejor complemento para el libro de texto que tengo. Muchisimas gracias!! Eres un excelente teacher!! 🙃😊😉👌👏
Actually, it is much better if the latinized form of akkadian is covered first, and cuneiforms is introduced later.. Two of them at the same time will be too difficult..
He studied this in college. So obviously people can learn both at the same time. Plus, there's a limited number of logograms, unlike say Chinese, which has like thousands.
@@harleyspeedthrust4013 In Akkadian the verb will usually come at the end of the sentence but it is not required to. Typically an Akkadian sentence is formed in the order Subject Object Verb. In many cases, however, this format isn’t followed and verbs can come before nouns. This is especially common in Akkadian poetic writing which features a much less predictable word ordering.
Dear mr. Reese, Thanks for the effort. This lecture is too abstract. Maybe you could structure future videos to focus more on signs and combinations; Rather than this dry boring grammar.
I was told to watch this channel by a crazy man in a courthouse parking lot!
Love these videos. This is the best channel I've found in a long while.

Well done you're on a roll!
@@learnakkadian Half of it was part of your lesson

In my opinion, it's more interesting in this mixed way. And not too difficult, just a few signs out of the 1000+

I tried to make a sentence, is it correct?
Aşbat šarrāqānam ina ālim
I used ş for ts.
Looks good to me. That means "I seized (as.bat) a particular thief (šarrāqānam) in the city (ina ālim).
@@learnakkadian Thanks for replying. Three cases aren't that hard when your native language has 6(8) cases :)
Shouldn't the verb be at the end of the sentence? I've been following Huehnergard

@@learnakkadian That's cool, I didn't know that. Thank you!
