    Nice review. I'm completely happy with my set for my custom hitbox (all 30mm buttons), and I find the feeling of actuation has helped execution of moves and movement overall. AND you can pop the cherry mx out switches to fine tune the buttons how you want. Very, very well worth the premium price.

    Are the MX switches swappable? As a keyboard enthusiast who stumbled into this, cherry MX are pretty basic. You could swap these out for nicer, smoother, quieter, louder, lighter, or heavier switches. There are so many options. You can even lube and film switches to make them smoother and tighter (less stem wobble). You can get nice heavy tactiles that don't make a audible click, or super light smooth switches with shorter travel. If you pick up these buttons give a look into keyboard enthusiast videos and forums and such and see what's out there. Cherry MX is the tip of the iceberg as they say.

  • @thumbwarriordx
    @thumbwarriordx 2 года назад

    Cherry ain't no go-to gold standard for keyboards by pure merit.
    They were the last one standing when the mechanical keyswitch industry collapsed.
    But their bread and butter was the linear keyswitch. Much better suited to this than cramming tactility and a clicker into their linear switch design and sticking us with them in keyboards just because there was no other choice for 10 years.

Waiting to try new cherry switches in them as I'm still using the Silvers. @@__InMyPants__ they're basically reds with the actuation being 2mm shorter I think. So they actuate sooner than reds. Honestly, I've gone back to my seimitsu "ps-#-k" buttons. Sanwa/Seimitsu silencer maybe ?

    • @MrSujano
      @MrSujano  5 лет назад

      Hey! Absolutely. The noise on a lot of buttons is the plastic top smacking the base of the button when you press down. If you take apart the button (top from base) you can insert a very thin piece of durable foam, or I've even heard of people placing cotton around base. Just make sure to not place anything over the microswitch, and start out with only a little bit around the edge of the button base.

    Nice review! Just wish they didn’t have the edges, looks kinda odd. How’s the quality of the snap in bits on the side? I know my clear Sanwa buttons always break as soon as I try and remove them from my stick.

    • @MrSujano
      @MrSujano  5 лет назад

      The buttons themselves feel like a higher quality plastic than the sanwas. I've broke a few Sanwas as well. I find that the gamerfingers are a lot more rigid and require a bit more force to get seated properly. I prefer the screw in buttons to be honest, but space for the extra screw portion isn't always available.

    • @Wyngless
      @Wyngless 5 лет назад

      In my case I have the screw ins because I was tired of snapping the tabs on pop in buttons. Gamerfinger feels somehow cheap but strong. I'm expecting them to last a long, long time.

    Hi, i know that this is really late, but how did you manage to fit the gamerginer in the white rap 4 kai? Did you have to sand down inside the stick or did you just have to roll with it being kinda loose?

  • @ViewtifulZeke
    @ViewtifulZeke 5 лет назад

    Interesting. I don't mind the buttons being loud (I kinda prefer it personally) and I don't play hitbox so the MX Blues look very appealing to me. I know that I have a tendency to sometimes rest my fingers a bit too heavy on the buttons, giving me unwanted inputs every now and then. So buttons with a higher actuation force would probably fit me very well.
    Not sure what I feel about the angular design of the button rims, though.

      @@Demon09-_- Thanks for the quick reply, yeah, i know about that, how i said, i must get hands on itself, before i can make a decision. I´m not a doubletap-player, so, this is my first try to take a look&feel of other buttons than Sanwa. About the blue switches, they were from the pressurepoint the hardest, 60g, so they come on top as quick as possible for the "tactile feedback option", in comparison to the orange and green ones, am i right? This is why i´ll go for it. Otherwise, how the buttons feel is different, in which body you´ll house it, i´d got 8 Silent Sanwas in the Dragon, it´s quiet, but not the feeling, as in my clicky TE2 or Panthera. ;) Here´s a list from FA:
      Red: 45g operating force, linear feel
      Silver: 45g operating force, linear feel, operative travel 1.2mm versus 2mm of Red MX
      Black: 60g operating force, linear feel
      Brown: 55g operating force, soft tactile feel
      Blue: 60g operating force, click tactile feel
      Razer MX Orange: 45g operating force, soft tactile feel, silent operation, operative travel 1.9mm versus 2mm of Red MX
      Razer MX Green: 50g operating force, click tactile feel, operative travel 1.9mm versus 2mm of Red MX

      @AlecWalker007 5 лет назад

      @@Demon09-_- I never tried out the "new" Sanwa Silencers/Generation 2, but i will in the future, the "old" silencers are really too mushy. Anyway, you got a new abonemment. My personal goal this year is, for arcade sticks for sure, that my Dragon in online-matches with Headset isn´t that loud, cause Chat is on and stuff, and i will sell the TE2 & the Panthera and get the Victrix, for traveling and mobile use when i play with friends local. Gladly, since MadCatz is gone, the Fightstickscene is not dead, other companies really care about what gamers thinking, so we can look into a great future. Have a nice day.

    Mr Sujano, for these new g3 buttons does the rim around the gap spin easily or does it tight enough that you can barely move it through force?
