Hi, Chef Roland, I love all of your Recipes! They're all amazingly delicious! I would love to try this chicken soup too but I don't have white and Black peppercorns! What can I replace them with? Can I replace them with whitea and black pepper powders? Another thing is, could you please share some simple and delicious clear or Chinese herbal chicken soup recipe & video please? Thank you.
Hi Cheryl. So sorry for our late reply. Whole peppercorns are better but if you really can’t get them, powder form is also okay. We have a herbal soup recipe made with pork. Not sure if that works for you. You can replace the pork with chicken ruclips.net/video/0me_6ErkT4s/видео.html
This is the soup that my parents used to cook especially when we were sick. They added ginger plus a bit vegies. Thank you surely it brings back a memory of parent's cooking. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe and God bless.
Definitely not the chicken soup my mum would make for us as children, but that's the beauty of collecting these recipes from different cultures! My Chinese Mother-in-Law has a unique recipe as well and I am eager to add this particular rendition to my files... could be the new, 'Go-To' for those cold, sick-filled winter days! Yum!
i love your channel. Thank u for introducing your recipe to my family. i would like to have a recipe for japanese sesame dressing if its fine. thank u so much. All the best to you!
I think crazy Everyday of what soup to cook .I probably try this one looks yummy. Thank you Sir for sharing this recipe. Stay safe there again thank you n God Bless 🙏
Hihi Taneng, according to the few websites on confinement that I saw, you can consume white pepper during confinement. thechinesesouplady.com/chinese-confinement-foods/ however, you may need to reduce the salt content as it will cause water retention. www.tianweisignature.com/blog/confinement-diet-then-vs-now-are-you-up-to-date/#:~:text=Then%3A%20Do%20Not%20Add%20Any,who%20is%20still%20being%20breastfed. We’re not a confinement expert so please google for more reliable information. Happy parenthood!
My wife hates pepper, but I think with her it's the "bits" she hates. I'm going to try this soup and I bet she likes it. Never thought to use a "teaball" for the pepper.
This is a good soup it’s absolutely delicious and I love chicken feet I don’t put regular chicken in it I just put the feet because that’s my favorite part
Thank you so much for sharing this soup recipe. It looks so tempting. Sir, are we to eat garlic that is in the soup? Or we are to throw that away? Thank you
Good morning. High heat will breakdown the bones more and release more collagen which in turn makes your soup more milky. Hope this explains. Happy cooking!
Hi Roland . You added the fresh chicken without removing the bad blood and the gamey smell . May I know why ? Is it ok to pour in the water in the canned button mushrooms ? Thanks 😊
Nice video chef Roland. Would it be ok if I also add a couple of whole chicken liver too when cooking the chicken soup after the chicken stock has been made?
Just a quick question. I like the recipe, but I can not for the life of me obtain chicken feet in my local stores. Can I safely use bones from other parts of the chicken (like for example 1KG of wing flats and tips ) to obtain the same tasting soup?
Thank you for Bah Kut Teh/chicken soup recipe! During the lockdown period, I am all in your RUclips and cook at least one dish a day. Amazingly simple and detailed guideline. Thank you so much Roland & team!
I've never seen someone put the whole garlic unpeel(!) in the cooking process. Wow. My mom would be mad if I were to do this :") I'm interested in trying the recipe someday though. Thanks for sharing!
I am not chef Ronald but i can advise you. You can get it from online marketplace.. Lazada, Shoppee. Look for Stainless steel seasoning. Make sure you get the right size.. The bigger one and not those tiny ones for tea leaves. And also get those better quality ones as those poor quality ones will get rusty after a few washes. You may use a soup/filter bag as i will prefer it as it give a clearer soup but some people may like the pepper flakes on the soup.

Looks so good. If I do make this, I would leave out the rock sugar because I am not into sweet foods. Thanks for sharing.
Not sweet at all. It will balance the saltiness, sugar is alt of msg.
It's reminds me one of my Singaporian landlord in a flat that I stay in he pray for me this dish and it's amaze me the taste that he make.
Whao... i really like your description...."smell really good".... drooling ....

Wonderful recipe
Wow yummy made feel hungry will try to make some

I don't have mushrooms what vegetable can i use replacing mushrooms?
Thanl u for this lovely chicken soup. Im going to try it
I have tried some of the recipe in this channel and all of them were so good. 😋
..i will definitely try this soup for tonight's dinner
Hi Ronald, Jaime, thanks for sharing. What’s the rationale for high heat followed by low heat ?
Good morning. High heat will breakdown the bones more and release more collagen which in turn makes your soup more milky. Hope this explains. Happy cooking!
Wow look so nice Thanks for sharing your yummy recipe
yummy chicken soup,,i want this recipe very simple way! thank you👍♥️
Thank you for sharing

Oddly I did not care for this recipe-because all your recipes are so good-but I am a fan so I know you are good.

Hi Sanji. Absolutely. No worries about the chicken feet. You can use all bones or all wing flats. Happy cooking
Thank you for Bah Kut Teh/chicken soup recipe! During the lockdown period, I am all in your RUclips and cook at least one dish a day. Amazingly simple and detailed guideline. Thank you so much Roland & team!

Thank you
can this recipe be applied for fish...?
if yes, what kind of "fresh water or salt water" fish is best or alternated...?
thank you very much.
Looks very good. Will be trying that next wk. May I ask of it is very spicy n peppery ? My kids can't take it if it is.
Opps. Sorry For our late reply. You can reduce the amount of pepper used to suit your children’s palate. Happy cooking
Can we use slow cooker?
I've never seen someone put the whole garlic unpeel(!) in the cooking process. Wow. My mom would be mad if I were to do this :")
I'm interested in trying the recipe someday though. Thanks for sharing!
Any advise can we smash the garlic instead of putting the whole bulb in ?
Hi Jessica. It’s not necessary. The garlic will disintegrate in the soup after long cooking. Hope this helps.
Oic. I usually smashed but lately I noticed many dont … so I’m just curious on the difference. Thanks will try out whole bulb
Hai sir how are you..what a deliciously chicken soup you make..
May I know where you got spices filtration on the minutes 2.07..tq again.🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
I’m so sorry for my late reply. I got it from a market in Vietnam. Maybe you can search for it on amazon? Hope you can find it.
Wow..can use the soup for misua noodle?
Can use white and black pepper powder instead?
Better to buy peppercorn otherwise your soup will be very powdery. Happy cooking!
@@spicenpans oic..Thank you for reply.

Hi.. Is it possible to add glass noodles to soup?
Hi chef Roland..can I just use all chicken feet?

Happy cooking. This is our favourite soup 🤓🤓
Can i use bakuteh spices the one in packet.
Hi Chef Ronald, what the function of rock sugar?
Hihi. The purpose is to balance out the taste so that it’s not a one dimensional saltiness only. Hope this helps. Happy cooking!
Hi can use peppercorns without crushing?
how do u peel bulb garlic like that?
Thx for the recipe
Most welcome 😊 Happy cooking, Glacinta!
I think very spicy looks good soup
Hi Roland, you blanched the chicken bones and feet but not the chicken pcs?
Can i use normal sugar instead or rock sugar?
love your recipes!
Thank you so much
Waiting to make this; thank you! To cut down on gas, if I pressure-cook the soup, it might be runnier, & meat overcooked?
Its OK too. The chicken will give off more nutrients and vital stuff.
Where is your restaurant?
Hi where do you get the one which you store black pepper at 2.14
Hi Sir. Why don't you boil together the chicken with the feet n bone?
Will try your soup it’s looks yummy. Thanks chef 🙏
Hope you'll love it. Happy cooking, Elly :)
