In this video I'm unboxing it and showing the setup process for the motherboard as I went about building it in the Lian Li Lancool 216 • Lian Li LanCool 216 RG...
I was surprised to see just how well this motherboard performed considering it's price.

Thank for the detailed video, i thought i had a used motherbaord from Amazon
bro, I just received my one and it don't come in a bag, I hop it still work
fabulous quit and to the point got sick of stupid content '' creators'' blabbering 20 min for 1 second info, thank you for the video very clear and instructive
So did you end up trouble shooting your GPU LED flickering issue? Or just turn it off. Im having the same problem with my case fans not syncing with my cpu cooler fans and im trying to find a solution.
So the AIO should be in SYS_Fan4_PUMP on the bottom, not the CPU_FAN at the top of the mobo?
Did you find out?
My motherboard didn't come with mounting screws!
Thanks Gigabyte!
I hope you found out that it's the case that give you most of the screws including, powee supply, motherboard, hdd and the stand-off !
Phenomenal man, thank you so much
Hey. What screwdriver size did you use for the m.2 thermal cap?
Thanks, that's a fancy cooler though for an i5 🙂
thank you for this vid, first time building a pc and wasnt sure on where to plug in the little cord from my aio into the MB
Did he tuck in the rest of the cords from the aio? All you need is just to connect that small little wire?
One question. Will a gpu run in the top slot if an m2 is also in its top slot? I ask because in a previous gigabyte board if I put an m2 in the top slot and a gpu in the top pci slot the computer would give a black screen restart then crash restart then boot then crash to a blue screen of death. I could only pick between m2 in top slot or gpu in the top slot I couldn’t have it both ways. If m2 was top slot then the gpu would only work in the bottom pci slot . And yes I had flushed the bios to the latest version that’s just how that board did things
good question, I don't have the answer but I wanted to confirm that you had a valid question. speaking from memory here I believe (might be wrong) that the two slots you talked about share the x16 bandwidth. Others have said they both work, but at best using that m.2 top slot takes away from your bandwidth of your x16 gpu. I'm just about to build with this mobo and I'd love some info.
no music is so good. thanks.
Where did you plug in the AIO?
Read the aio manual, most likely sys_fan
The m.2 screw is a nightmare, I couldn’t remove it , what do I do?
True. You will ned a precision screwdriver, but depending on the handle you may nee to hold it with a plier.
Same here ffs
@@adamlevi87 I did after buying a new screwdriver
@@ibra5o6 thanks for the reply.
after googling, there is a thread on linustech forums, where people complained. i went and bought a PH00 new screwdriver (already had one), none worked..
i went to the store where i bought the PC and asked them to try, the technician said he assembled 1000+ PCs with this MOBO and never encountered this.. he had a very difficult time in opening it (as the PC is brand new, i would never attempted to open it the way he did, im not sure which screwdriver he used but he applied a LOT of force [i applied force as well])
bottom line, it might be tricky to open but i consider my MOBO to be somewhat defected.. but as the entire PC was already working .. i just connected my additional NVMEs and install the thermal guard back by screwing the problematic screws just a tiny bit.
all in all, my new rig is running.
i hope these replies & the linustech forum will help other people.
I tightened it even harder. Then I tried again.
Can this motherboard support 12th gen i5?
What strimmer cables are you using the only ones I can find are not compatible with a Corsair power supply
strimer cables don’t plug directly into the power supply. they’re extension cables they go onto the cables that are meant for the powersupply
Do you have to take stickers off the M.2 SSD?
Yes, because that sticker will inhibit heat transfer from the SSD face to the thermal pad under the heat sink. It's effectively like putting thermal paste on the CPU but forgetting to remove the clear vinyl sticker on the bottom of the CPU cooler.
@joshuawebster1344 that's wrong . You should leave the sticker on the name drive . As it helps with Hest and warranty. Many pc builders have said the same as what I've just said . Even pc builder on RUclips said it aswell
this pump connector at the bottom for years now is really a joke ( a bad one lol )
Which LGA screws do you use for the backplate for the CPU Cooler? Thanks
LGA 1700
Is everything you show in this video come with the motherboard?
Hell no I wish
Do you need to remove the plastic sticker under the 2nd heatshield if youbare not using 2 SSDs?
Not if you're not using it.
Hello sir please reply me , this motherboard good for overclocking with i7 12700k ? 😢
Yes.
Yes bro, its good
noticed you have two rings? two wives?
One is tiring enough
This is the worst set up I have ever seen, yous howed the front panel but didn't show how to connect it. you skipped from installing the cpu to turn in on with graphics card installed never showing how to connect other wires. You should title this how to install cpu. what a waste of time.
Thanks!
