Thanks for the feedback! I am thinking about putting the episode # at the end of the title, but I also don’t know if that helps as it could get cut off. I spend a lot of time trying to shorten videos (without losing info) because I worry about wasting people’s time! Also, if I show too long of a single scene, the video gets blocked! 😅
True, although I can get behind Gale opening his door a similar way every time. But Gus and Jesse doing the same knock, especially with Gus being calm and Jesse being freaked out, seems pretty unbelievable!
I like to think that when Saul doesn't give up Jesse and says "If I was to tell ya, I wouldn't be able to live with myself." and Mike doesn't believe him that it's because he knows what he and Kim did to Howard years ago and WAS able to live with himself after.
Not sure if somebody else pointed it out but the thermometer he uses to measure the kettle is a infrared thermometer which uses the laser only to see what you measure exactly.

It’s probably the best evidence! I was ready to admit there’s a possibility they built one in the garage for Junior to use (which is why they never park in the garage 🤣), but Walt certainly would have used it instead of asking Skyler and peeing in the sink!
I can’t comment on other channels since I personally avoid watching other BB content (except for Alternative Cuts!), but I’m sure there’s an audience for all different styles and he seems to be doing something right! 😅 But thanks for the compliment!
What I love about bcs is the depth it gives to Mike. The line, “yeah, unfortunately I do Walter,” doesn’t make a lot of sense in breaking bad. At this point, we see little to no sense of humanity in him, so why would he sound so upset delivering that line? Well, bcs gives more context. As he executes the German engineer, we learn that he actually is quite an empathetic person; that he is simply controlled by the demands of Gus. I just think that line makes much more sense now. That’s all
Ah, that’s a good point! Although Jonathan also felt that when he gave the “Half Measures” speech, he still had some hope and belief in Walt. Maybe that comes through a little, because he didn’t have to give him a “professional courtesy.”
4:57 mike's gun in this scene is a suppressed Heckler & Koch Mk. 23 pistol chambered for .45 ACP. from what i remember, thus gun doesn't actually re-appear later and is instead swapped for a beretta later on
In response to number 17 I am a sort of a weapons history buff The barrel is the tube the bullet travels through to focas the gas all in one dirrection to give it range. But You are probably refering to the slide and no that isnt what happens When you are empty When pistols are empty the slide locks back. The Slides go back then forward to eject the cartridge in the chamber. Usually when you fire. When empty the slide locks backward and doesnt go forward until you hit the slide release. This is to make reloading faster. The reason why the slide didnt go back or lock back is because its an editing mistake. They probably didnt notice it. Its not huge deal especially because it doesnt effect the scene at all
Oh sorry, I meant the chemical barrels! I realize that’s confusing! The whole palette slid as the guy fell into them, so they must have been pretty light!
@@betterwatchtv i saw this way later than i should of. I indirrectly pointed out another detail. But yeah the chemical barrels had to be empty for that to happen.
I definitely noticed that Mike was never named before here. Given the nature of his existence in the first place I wonder if they just kept putting it off until they were like "no okay this is an actual character rather than just some guy who's doing the wetwork"
Yeah! I feel like they would have at least decided that by Half Measures, but then maybe they were waiting for a natural time to work it in. (And really worked it in, with three mentions in this episode!)
11:39 it's believable mike thought he was setting up and leading Jesse to them acting panicked to get him to hurry. It wasn't til Walter said they're gonna kill him he has to do it did Mike realize
I like Mike's smirk on his face when Walt is telling Gus what "option B" is. It's basically Mike being like "You got balls Waltuh.. I'll give you that much."
9:39 I always saw it as his ego. He doesn't wanna lose to hank. Maybe a bit of looking bad but we've seen earlier his ego makes him bold when Hank doubts he could ever do it. To give himself up to Hank at that Walt's ego couldn't take it. Maybe he also feels it could rob Hank of actually being able to catch him. Because at the end when Hank does it seems Walt's at peace and wanted it to be Hank if anyone. Maybe giving himself up could rob them both of the end of their fated end. Plus it'd be essentially folding to Hank and we saw in the poker game he'd rather bluff his way out.
"How many of you thought he was serious?" ME! When Walter said he'd give up Jesse, I was yelling 'Wow, what an asshole!' 'cause I 100% thought it was something he'd do. But Walt (Bryan) played me so good, I can't even be mad. 😂 That acting is INSANE.
Later on when Hank suspects Gus, he finds his fingerprints in Gale's apartment. But I don't think Gus actually touches anything in that scene in this episode.
Good point. Maybe it wasn’t his first time there? Although Gale’s reaction indicates it’s rare. Although we also don’t see him leave, so maybe he started touching everything on his way out! 😂
6:30 if you can read another/opposite way of thinking and try to understand it, instead of just denying whatever you don't believe, that's a sign of a smart person right there.
Mike was too "naive" when Walt promised him Jesse Pinkman, especially for someone who's not so easy to convince and manipulate. Maybe he didn't wanna kill Walt after all, and was just following orders. I wonder how he spun that to Gus and still kept his place in the operations, following that whatever they were trying to prevent eventually happened...
Yeah. I’m sure he was just following orders. Maybe Mike left out those details when he called Gus. 😂 As far as Gus knows, Jesse could have already been on the way to kill Gale without Walt’s phone call!
@@betterwatchtv lol i guess so. this is also one of the things i love about this show. we are left to wonder about a lot of things and have our own conclusions. really makes us feel like we were with the actors in the show's universe...

Mike's character was created on the fly because Bob Odenkirk wasn't available too shoot the scene with Jesse in the "ABQ" episode.
I don't know for sure but I think the influence for the Mike character is Mr. Wolfe from "Pulp Fiction"

23 pistol chambered for .45 ACP. from what i remember, thus gun doesn't actually re-appear later and is instead swapped for a beretta later on
Interesting! Thanks!
Watching this one when it aired live was another crazy episode.
Anyone else remember the wait until the next season feeling like forever?
It’s so hard to imagine these days! And the wait between 5a and 5b!!
1:18 you’re cringe not skylar
That's fair!
In response to number 17 I am a sort of a weapons history buff
The barrel is the tube the bullet travels through to focas the gas all in one dirrection to give it range. But You are probably refering to the slide and no that isnt what happens When you are empty
When pistols are empty the slide locks back.
The sound for the counter for each detail sounds like an updated version of Discord's join sound and now I want it for Discord
Haha, I guess I hear the resemblance!
So glad there's a new episode.
One every week (I hope!)
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOO!
heres to more episodes :) also why 5k for the wig?
Thanks! Because it was handmade (someone threading each cluster of hairs)!
I definitely noticed that Mike was never named before here. Given the nature of his existence in the first place I wonder if they just kept putting it off until they were like "no okay this is an actual character rather than just some guy who's doing the wetwork"
by the way I love this channel. I wish there were more that do this like you and Overanalyizing Avatar do
Yeah! I feel like they would have at least decided that by Half Measures, but then maybe they were waiting for a natural time to work it in. (And really worked it in, with three mentions in this episode!)
@@kevandreThanks so much! 🙂
11:39 it's believable mike thought he was setting up and leading Jesse to them acting panicked to get him to hurry. It wasn't til Walter said they're gonna kill him he has to do it did Mike realize
Oh, good point! Sorry, Mike!
I always look forward to these videos. I've watched them all and love every single one
Awesome! Thanks for your support!!
The into when they are buying the house really reminds me of the fight club intro (when we are looking around the narrators apartment)
Oh yeah!!
Another killer upload! Keep it up, man!
Thanks, Magnus! And thanks for becoming a member!!
I like Mike's smirk on his face when Walt is telling Gus what "option B" is. It's basically Mike being like "You got balls Waltuh.. I'll give you that much."
Absolutely!
12:27 this ending… left me speechless. So great, I feel so bad for Gale
💯
6:31 知彼知己,百战不殆 (Know your enemy and know yourself)
Agent Vanco would be proud!
Hmm, interesting thoughts. Thanks!
Yeah, I agree!
Well said!
When I first watched this episode and heard Shambala by the Beastie Boys, I knew this was going to be the best scene. It didn't disappoint.
😁 The show’s music is so impressive! Both the original score and the existing music they choose!
4:13 Bro This is why Kaylee was ranked F tier, she broke Mike’s heart with that comment
6:32 - I think Gale is being good faith and finding his specific disagreements from the texts of Mr. Marx directly. What an intellectual!
I agree 💯!
5:22 after al the feet memes from bcs, i cant help but to start noticing in bb, feet counter? Nah im joking
I considered saying something, but I thought I’d let the foot speak for itself!
@@betterwatchtv totally did, great job
Anyone have an idea who walt was going to pick as his new lab assistant before Gus said "no this time i chose"?
Great question! Walt doesn’t seem to know anyone qualified (that we know of) besides Elliott, and it wouldn’t be him!
Although if he’s just looking for someone he can trust, then maybe Badger! 😂
@@betterwatchtv Yeah that went well with Jesse :D
Gale is a well-educated man, he would absolutely own several books on ideologies that he doesn't necessarily sympathize with
Yep, agreed!
I LOVE breaking bad and I appreciate all the effort you have put into these videos. You earned a subscription from me.
Woo-hoo! Thanks so much, kyle!! 🎉
Very true!
