If Victor didn't went into the crime scene and just went to Jesse's car to make him drive back to the lab. As well as not cook, just waited like Mike. Maybe he'd be sparred.
I always viewed Victor's death as him getting three strikes. Strike 1: failing to save Gale. Strike 2: Getting seen at the crime scene. Strike 3: over stepping his bounds by trying to cook. So maybe Gus would have been willing to forgive Victor if he only had one strike. Then again, I could totally see Gus still killing him for failing to save Gale.

8:52 I love Jesse, Walter and Mike's reaction when Gus killed Victor. Jesse was depressed because he killed gale and when he saw that Gus killed Victor he seemed to come out of depression. And Walter who thought Gus would kill him and when he saw that Gus killed Victor and not him then he said to himself in his head "Why didn't he kill me?". And Mike who thought that Gus would kill Walter or give him a punishment or something and when Gus killed Victor Mike was surprised and Mike said to himself in his head "Why did he kill him and not Walter?". (sorry for my long text i don't know how to make this short). (and sorry if maybe you didn't understand).
4:50 Nortel Millennium payphone spotted? This seems to be a variant I've never seen before based on that wild ID bezel with the button and seemingly missing coin slot (though some Millenniums are card only), the buttons down the instruction card, the odd layout of the special keys, even the swivel is wrong. This little freak of nature might be something Quortech or WiMacTel made later on based on some of the Millennium's chassis components. Normally seeing a Millennium would be a give away that a scene was shot in Canada but in this case I doubt it.
I think Gale being unfamiliar with Victor always watching them is because Victor never had to watch Gale closely. Gus never trusted the unpredictable egomaniacle Walt as much as he trusted Gale
Hahaha... We could definitely use a Hector emoji and that could be his best face (either that or his face when he detonates the bomb)! It's hard for these expressions to show up when in such a tiny image, but I'll definitely keep that in mind. We're getting close to the point where RUclips will require me to gain 50(!) members for each new emoji, so these new opportunities may be rare!
Walt makes that statement about victor later as a subliminal threat as he views Mike taking liberties that aren’t his to take. He’s planting a seed in Jesse’s head because it seems he’s flirting with the idea of eliminating Mike. Which he ultimately does.
I read this on a wiki sometime ago so take with a grain of salt, but apprently it was supposed to lampshade the fact that the way they are cooking doesn't work in real life because of those qualities.
@betterwatchtv even bigger, chirality is referenced all the way back in Cat's in the Bag when Walt is lecturing his class on thalidomide. He pauses at one point and it seems like he's going to mention meth instead, because he just started cooking. Chirality is one of the big differences between street quality meth and what Walt cooks.
Something to note about the eye: Vince himself has stated they knew the eye had significant symbolic meaning, but he couldn't quite say what it was. He said, feet to the fire, I'd say it represents the Eye of God looking down on Walt. The first time we see the eye after Walt snags it, is when the twins come to axe him. At this time, Mike has Walt's house under surveilance (a watchful eye). Walt then stashes the eye in the drawer, and we don't see it again until Skyler finds it in box cutter. The eye, like Gus is to Walt after Box Cutter, is constantly there, but out of Walter's (and the audience's sight). Skyler finding it in Box Cutter, and then Gus storing himself away from Walt is a parallel. Skyler also learns about Gustavo Fring and mentions him by name in the last episode of S4. I also like to look at it as judgement. The universe sends the twins as Walt's judgement, but much like Gus says Mike about not wanting Hector to die by a bullet from Mike because it would be too humane, the universe decides the twins are too humane a punishment for Walt and sends Gus his way as a crueler form of punishment. But Walt flips the tables on fate, and becomes Gus' judgement, which is why his death parallel's the bear, half burnt face, and missing an eye. Also, why Gus didn't have a menu item Chicken 'Fring'ers, I'll never understand.
Walt actually really did have a solid point. A person may be able to perfectly replicate each and every step but not knowing WHY you are doing each step makes even the smallest problems insurmountable.
I’d say this is true for some and untrue for someZ It’s true for me. I’m unable to produce the product you want if that information is missing. News flash we all do things differently, down to posture and it matters. I’m 6’7” and my back doesn’t allow me to sleep with how much it hurts. This is from existing in this world designed for everyone but me. This is all to say that a lot of directions are just wrong
the box cutter scene is one of the few scenes i skip over most times i rewatch the show because it’s just so horrible to me. Gus holding victors throat like that is absolutely brutal and his gasping is just too much for me
The second hand clothes are also a reference/homage to pulp fiction (Vincent Jules and The Wolf cleaning and the killers later eating at the dinner robber scene)
They were not wrong for that cut from the blood to the ketchup. It was a brilliant cut and I’m sad you cannot appreciate it. This was the first and last video I watched on your channel.
I remember when I watched this episode, there was a frame in the scene where Gale is on the floor dead but his eyes opened right before the scene changed
I always like to think that walks comments before victor dies is him panicking since if Victor knew the cook he would be replaceable so he was just saying whatever to make himself seem smarter... also logically I think it was super dumb to kill victor.. not only did gus loss a loyal solider but he could have easily smuggled him out and had him do cooks or be a under ground guard... victor seemed like a loss end who didn't really have a life outside of his service to gus.. like Tyril
8:12 Really it's probably another case of the real life DEA guiding the direction of the show such that it's not _actually_ teaching people how to cook Meth.
@9:44 yeah, the label _is_ fictitious, but I took the 2 to assume it was packing group 2. There’s hazard classes, and each individual container also gets a packing group depending on what it is. PGs 1-3, with 1 being the most dangerous. The individual container markings can differ between what is shown on the parent vehicle they’re packed into in accordance with CFR49
While it is difficult to know exactly when Walt became Heisenberg (I argue he never became that until the very last episode btw) I think it is simpler to see where Mike ends his alignment with Gus. Even before his connection to Gus was shown to be much closer in the Better Call Saul prequel, he always seemed above Walt and Jessie. During the cutter scene, he is taken by surprise (obviously), but seems to lower himself to the level of the men who are sitting; even helping the men put the body in the barrel. That was the first dip in class until his involvement in the train heist, and eventually in his own death.
Did you already get any comments about the chemistry things walter brings up? Cause the words he brought up actually make sense together as far as i can tell
That box cutter scene is the only scene that I physically cannot watch. I have mirror touch synesthesia, and the only other scene that comes close is when Walt puts his IV back in.

Its my favorite show of all time but understand that 8 seasons plus a one off season and an upcoming prequel and sequel is alot to work through
@@tammylee9617 Great insight! Thanks! And as much as I try to spread Severance awareness, I feel like your most urgent task is to get started on Better Call Saul!
When Gus kills Victor Mike out out his gun cuz even he didn't see it coming
Indeed!
Love your videos, have been bindge watching your entire series within a week, now caught up to the current Upload schedual.
Thank you for the high quality content
Thanks for being here!! Your binge watching sends a great signal to "The Algorithm"
im surprised u dont have more subscribers. these videos are super in depth and well edited
Thank you!! Well, the channel’s growing at least! The subscribers basically doubled a month ago.
That makes perfect sense! Thanks! Yeah, being able to convey those three different thoughts in a quick moment with no dialogue is amazing!
Weird! It was definitely filmed in Albuquerque but I think it was a prop phone.
Yooo, I can't wait for your Severance series. I absolutely love that show!
Thanks, me too! I just don’t yet know when I’ll be able to squeeze it in!
I think Gale being unfamiliar with Victor always watching them is because Victor never had to watch Gale closely. Gus never trusted the unpredictable egomaniacle Walt as much as he trusted Gale
True! I think it was just the “that guy” part that was weird for me!
I love your videos. It's so interesting the facts you find
Thank you! Several are discoveries from others that I'm just reporting on, but some are new discoveries!
you're doing a great work here bro, keep it up!
Thank you so much! I'm trying to keep up the pace!
i’m not a member but i think it’d be funny if you added an emoji of hector looking at the DEA while he shits himself, if that’s not already one
Amazing editing and great points. You deserve more views :)
Thanks!! When I started this series, each video would get about 1-2k views, so the channel is growing!
Walt makes that statement about victor later as a subliminal threat as he views Mike taking liberties that aren’t his to take. He’s planting a seed in Jesse’s head because it seems he’s flirting with the idea of eliminating Mike. Which he ultimately does.
Yes, you are correct! He seems to have not been sincere there!
Everything Walt said isn't false, ironically walt's formula in the show is the one that doesn't account for stereoisomerism / chirality.
Oh, good to know! It's all a mystery to me.
I read this on a wiki sometime ago so take with a grain of salt, but apprently it was supposed to lampshade the fact that the way they are cooking doesn't work in real life because of those qualities.
@@ayoraster2970 Cool, thanks!
Marie was only adding to thee fire by callingling them rocks 🪨
👏👏👏
And thanks for becoming a member!
OMG! The connection between the bear’s face and Gus’s face! I never thought of that!!!
And chicken fringers would have been amazing! I guess Gus wasn’t a part of their branding like the Colonel was!
Walt actually really did have a solid point. A person may be able to perfectly replicate each and every step but not knowing WHY you are doing each step makes even the smallest problems insurmountable.
Yes, definitely!
I’d say this is true for some and untrue for someZ
It’s true for me.
BWTV is the goat! I'm loving coming back here every week it brings me back to when shows like Breaking Bad aired like this.
Thanks!! And without the yearlong wait between seasons! (Hopefully!)
When Walt and Jesse are at Denny's there is a small continuity error before Jesse makes the "death gesture".
Yeah, the show has sooo many continuity errors! (More than film artifacts!)
10:50 almost like when Tuco beat the living hell out his sideman for questioning Walt and Jesse
Indeed!
Great video as always, keep them coming!
Thanks, Biel!!
Still looking towards the release of Better Fuel Huell
Love to see the return!
🎉🎉🎉
5:11 you missed a film speckle, a rather large one.
Yeah, the one in front of Adam the locksmith? I added that to the count in a later video!
@@betterwatchtv Ah, I guess I'm not there yet. Great how you're still responding to all the comments that are coming in! 😁
@@JayDeeIsMyName I try! Thanks!
Great work as always mate!
Thanks, Jay!!
the box cutter scene is one of the few scenes i skip over most times i rewatch the show because it’s just so horrible to me. Gus holding victors throat like that is absolutely brutal and his gasping is just too much for me
Yeah, the gasping is what makes it awful for me!
The second hand clothes are also a reference/homage to pulp fiction (Vincent Jules and The Wolf cleaning and the killers later eating at the dinner robber scene)
Yes, good point!
Chiral, stereo, and enantiomers all describe left right symmetry.
Oh, that's interesting.
They were not wrong for that cut from the blood to the ketchup. It was a brilliant cut and I’m sad you cannot appreciate it. This was the first and last video I watched on your channel.
I hope you're joking, because I was also joking!
OMG
THIS VIDEO MADE MY CHIPS AND GUAC TASTE BETTER- thanks for the shoutout! 🤗

@@betterwatchtv😊😊😊🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I remember when I watched this episode, there was a frame in the scene where Gale is on the floor dead but his eyes opened right before the scene changed
Hmm, I tried to find it, but couldn't!
Love that Mike instinctively pulls a gun on Gus, he’s so shocked at what’s just happened that he loses his cool
Yep!
I always like to think that walks comments before victor dies is him panicking since if Victor knew the cook he would be replaceable so he was just saying whatever to make himself seem smarter... also logically I think it was super dumb to kill victor.. not only did gus loss a loyal solider but he could have easily smuggled him out and had him do cooks or be a under ground guard... victor seemed like a loss end who didn't really have a life outside of his service to gus.. like Tyril
Yeah, Walt panicking makes sense! And yes, Gus is not as careful and logical as he likes to think he is!
GERMANY MENTIONED 🗣️🗣️🦅🦅🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
Great Video once again. I really love them.
Please keep the work up❤!
Thank you! I thought of you during that segment, as the only German member I’m aware of! 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
Marie has her problems like everyone else, but she is such a good wife.
💯🙌
goodbye, victor
Farewell, faithful henchman! Until we meet again in Better Call Saul...
8:12
Really it's probably another case of the real life DEA guiding the direction of the show such that it's not _actually_ teaching people how to cook Meth.
Ah, that makes sense!
Oh! Well you’ve taught me something new! Thanks!
The methylamine cook doesn't typically make the meth blue, the color is supposedly due to Walt's improved recipe !
Oh, hmmm, I guess that could explain it. Walt and his “little tweaks of chemistry…”
While it is difficult to know exactly when Walt became Heisenberg (I argue he never became that until the very last episode btw)
I think it is simpler to see where Mike ends his alignment with Gus.
Cool, I like that! Thanks!
I have a AT&T/Jersey Mikes/Chipotle parking sign form that ex-Denny’s. Used to eat there all the time
That's amazing!
Every episode with huell is a good episode
👍
you added the episode number ❤
I did! 😄 I hope it helps! It didn’t seem to hurt anything regarding the RUclips algorithm…
Did you already get any comments about the chemistry things walter brings up? Cause the words he brought up actually make sense together as far as i can tell
Some people have said they make sense and others have said it’s nonsense!
3:37 is probably the most attractive angle Marrie had!
8:51 still love how Mike raises his gun to Gus
Yep!
9:35 one watch through I got to this scene incredibly stoned and it was.. a lot to take in hahah the Lava lamp
Haha, I never thought of the lava lamp comparison!
That box cutter scene is the only scene that I physically cannot watch. I have mirror touch synesthesia, and the only other scene that comes close is when Walt puts his IV back in.
Oh, interesting! I find it very hard to watch as well. Normally the IV thing would bother me but for some reason it doesn’t!
Another fantastic episode
Thanks! :)
Fantastic editing!
Thanks, Sebas! 😁
