My stepdad did the product developement for this car back in the Delta days...he brought one home for the weekend and we went down the bypass in port elizabeth....top speed we got was 225kmh...ive never been faster than that to this day...very special moment❤

I had a kadett gsi 25 years ago.. my first fast car, very tricky to drive.. instant raw power ! No ABS, no nothing.. had many more powerful cars after, but nothing compared with kadett gsi driving.. my brother was scared of kadett .. a lot of memories.
ALWAYS, ALWAYS loved these Superbosses...... I agree, the outside doesn't need any skirts or aftermarket rims, etc, etc.... The original look is ABSOLUTELY beautiful......❤❤❤.....The rims, I think it's borbets (if not mistaken) are ABSOLUTELY beautiful..... Always wanted to own one....

I salute you my Brother , I did some turbo projects with a few of my opel corsa lite's lol ...did 2 turbo conversion also with SpeedShop amazing guy's and very trusted 👏 really brings back good old memories. Much respected video love u DBN KZN backstretch everything my everything.

My first car was Kadett E,3 door like this one in video,white colour,1.6 SH engine, Varajet dual carbs,stock Recaro front seats,year of production 1986.I miss that car.So nice to see Kadett E on the road.The engine bay is perfect,but the engine sound at idle is bit strange.....valve ticking?

Can someone explain it to me what means "SUPERBOOS"?
Sure. In the late 80's Opel made the Kadett GSi 2lt 8v. called the BOSS Opel S.A. then improved on developing another model GSi 2lt 16v called the BIG BOSS.
At that time on our pro series racing circuit called STANNIC GROUP N, BMW were supreme with the only 1 of it's kind, S.A built 325iS Evo 1 and was ruling driven by Deon van der Westhuisen. To challenge BMW, Opel developed the SUPER BOSS GSi 2lt 16v with SFI fuel intake system, Schrick twin cams, a specially developed LSD differential close ratio, and a couple other upgrades. In order to qualify for STANNIC GROUP N, the cars must be all production cars, nof more then 320 unuts. So to qualify, OPEL built 335 of these very rare models. Sold 320 to the public to qualify as production and public sales (use) and the other 15 were used for the racing circuit. Mike Briggs was Opel's lead driver and it became a very heated contest on win and lose between BMW 325is Vs. SUPER BOSS. Both cars shared the constructors and driver's championship titles yr in and out. There are very few of these models left today, which make them a collectors item. Those were some very fond years in S.A. touring cars racing history.❤❤❤
@@peterssss5396 Thanks for detailed clarification.So it was racing car sold only in South Africa and that's why I never heard of it.Used to own 3 GSi-s and one of them was equipped with racing head, cams, Power Chip and have eaten BMW-s for breakfast except M3 E30 ofcourse... ;-)

the car has only and onlyone flaw ! it has the stering weel on the wrong side !
Well. I always thought we would have gotten more models if we drove on the other side.
Ex wife sold daughter 3 months and with luck 25jr later back perfect body need sort some wires and fan reverse light but if you don't no GSI engine don't play guy putted 1.8 head and head crowed from water ports to pistons had to buy and wait for every single part arrived and it's today or tomorrow starting blue printing every single bolt and nut but love my baby back
