Then as it’s sitting there the SAME PIECE OF MEAT comes floating down. I imagine it looking at the meat like......... “HELL NAW!!! I ain’t falling for that one again!” 😆😂🤣

I saw a 12-14 foot fish in Red River downstream of lake Texoma, in 1977. It was. Unbelievably Big. Before it began to move upstream, I thought it was a submerged. Tree. True story

I remember the first time I saw a gar. I was about 6 or 7. I was fascinated and have been ever since. I know most people don't like them much, but I find them to be beautiful. Went swimming a few years ago and got within 2 feet of a small one. Might have been 18-24 inches ling. One of my coworkers (there were about 7 of us camping out) was bow fishing for something to cook. He wanted to kill it. Not to eat but simply because it was a gar. I refused to move away from it. I wasn't going to let him kill it just for existing. So the gar and I just swam there beside each other for about half an hour till my coworker realized I really wasn't going to move.
It's very nice of you to not let him kill the gar.

Good ol trinity river my buddy got the world record gar out there 4 years ago I live 45 min from there
I grew up on Trinity River South of Dallas. Ive caught a few small ones, nothing that big. Whats even better than that is to snag a big Alligator Snapping Turtle. Its time just cut the line and find another spot.

I've always caught gar at night. I'd say 90% of the time.. from 4ft to 6ft.. Hardly ever during the day. I always keep the 3-4ft ones for eating. Nice clean white meat. Larger ones tend to be tougher

I think the most amount of time it took for him to catch a fish was bull shark which took about 3 and half hrs.
Nope . It was the goonge catfish in india which took 3 weeks

Every gar ive ever caught uas been between 9pm and 5 am idk who told him that they quit biting at night but they were dead wrong
