Step 1 seems impossible. The video doesn't show where to stick the gasket. Redo video with clear up close shots so we can see what's going on.

I just purchased the Deluxe kit and discovered the gasket had already been applied around the inside of the lid. However, it was applied around the outside edge rather than along the crease. When I secure the lid to the bucket, it's TIGHT. Like...so tight that when lifting the tab to remove it, the tab turns white. I'm thinking it shouldn't be THAT tight, right?

For the Dust Deputy® to function properly, the lid does need to provide an airtight seal. Please contact our Customer Support team at (866) 387-8822 or visit oneida-air.com/CST to complete a customer support request if you continue to experience difficulty with your Dust Deputy® Deluxe Kit.

@@oneida-air Thanks! I contacted the shop I purchased it from (KMS Tools) and they were very quick to get it sorted out. It was exchanged for a different unit (same model) and it works perfectly.

“Overlap around the circumference”? What does that even mean. We can’t see what you’re doing in step one

The gasket appears to be longer than the circumference of the lid so instead of cutting it to length it sounds as though you would continue to run it around the rim of the lid. Inevitably, the end of the gasket could/should/would overlap where you started and there will be an area where you'll have, I assume, the end of the gasket running slightly beyond and alongside the starting point. Interestingly, the manual for the Dust Deputy Deluxe has the end of that gasket butting up against its starting point and not overlapping.

I bought one that didn't come with the cyclone gasket. I will return it to get a new one. It also didn't come with the lid gasket.

What side do washers go on? Step 2.

Washers sit between the top of the lid and bolt head, nuts on the bottom/inside of the lid
