His Daddy once said to him "Elvis if you keep giving giving so much you're gonna bankrupt us" His reply was don't worry daddy we can go on tour for a week or so and make a few million. It was his true pleasure to give just so happens he liked to give away cars especially Cadillac's
Rory maybe you can react to the doc called "the Spiritual Elvis". He saw an elderly woman on the news whose legs were paralysed and her husband took a wood crate and put medal skate wheel on it and she was on her knees pushing around with her hands. He found her address and took her the best electric wheelchair in Memphis. She was happy to get the new wheelchair. When they left Sonny said" E I don't think she knew who you were.". He said, I don't care, I just wanted to make her happy". Thanks
Poor poor poor...thats 😊 it goes back to,mum saved for a bike and before the day was out he gave the bike to another kid.
Part from the music, his GIVING to people down the years is just amazing.

Lets Go!! I love this documentary!! Elvis was one of the most generous people to every live!! Thank you Rory!!❤
Fantastic video ❤ Elvis Congratulations Rory Thanks 👍😊
Elvis LIVED the creed. "it is better to give than to receive " ...He enjoyed giving things to people , and since he was the ONE making all those millions of dollars , he had every right to do whatever he wanted to do with HIS money ! Nobody else's business , really !
❤️👑❤️
Great video - learned a few things here even after following him for decades.
Loved this video and your reaction. Really great. What a shame that the cars, and I assume the other gifts Elvis gave, became a burden to some. Not only couldn't he enjoy life anymore as a regular person, but everyone around him and strangers he singled out to help, would have to endure stress over a gift. I can tell you one thing...if Elvis ever offered to buy me a car, the words "I don't need one. You can only drive one at a time," would never come out of my mouth. LOL
Love it Rory. Great video about generous Elvis
Fire 🔥🔥🔥
You should check out Black Velvet by Alannah Myles, it was written about Elvis.
I love that song, didn't know it was about Elvis. Now I'm thinking about the words and it makes sense.
Long live the King ❤
Oh yes! I love that song!
Imagine how many lives Elvis personally affected. His gifts were life changing to so many. His monetary donations eradicated Polio.
Let that sink in. Every Christmas he would guve away a total of $100,000 which in today's terms is unthinkable for any celebrity. Fine it was a tax write off as well but he WANTED TO HELP REAL PEOPLE.
Besides the Nixon video, this is one of my favorites. There were sooo many tribute songs made about/for Elvis after his passing, its crazy!! So generous and humble. No offense though, can't stand Sonny. He gets under my skin! Amyway... cant wait for Part 2. Great recommendation! TCB ⚡👑😎
I am with you, I can't stand him either.
Awsome video !😊❤
Elvis started using drugs in the army back in 1958. Check this out In 1970 Elvis writes to President Nixon (the I am not a crook guy) and offers his services to help combat illicit drug use in the USA. Elvis mentioned that he knew a lot about drugs and was accepted by the hippies. He said he could go right into a group of young people or hippies and be accepted which he felt could be helpful to him in his drug drive. Nixon and Elvis exchanged pleasantries and agreed that “those who use drugs are in the vanguard of American protest.” In 1977 Elvis dies of drug overdose and drug abuse. Putting Elvis in charge of speaking on narcotic abuse is like leaving Dracula in charge of the blood bank. Hypocrisy: What is an example of hypocrisy? People who tell you not to eat candy while they chomp away on candy all day.
