    Is there a wear sensor that needs disconnecting from the pads?

    Are some of the caliper pistons wound back clockwise and others anticlockwise? I've seen it done both ways.

      Thank you for your feedback! In this case it is suffice to press the piston without winding it. Best regards, Autodoc.

      Answer is yes some are counter clockwise and some clockwise but that's usually on the rear caliper with handbrake.

    It would be a good idea though to open the bleeder screw on the caliper before you push back the piston. Or at least pop the brake fluid reservoir cap.

      You are right, some moments in the video were missed, but our channel is not educational but is only for informational purposes.
      We strongly recommend that all replacements, especially those concerning the brake system.
      We recommend doing this job by a specialized service.

    That looks way too easy. How about doing it outside with crappy jack, jammed parts, no pressure tools, dirty parts, dirty hands, missing tools, headache, etc.

      Thank you for your feedback! We make our videos to give people the basic idea on some of the details in the whole procedure. That is why some parts of any tutorial can differ for obvious reasons. Best regards, Autodoc!

      And in the freezing cold😄

    At least with the rear brake cylinders the tool for winding back the cylinder will not work that well on left hand side as the cylinder will turn anti-clockwise!

      @autodocuk  5 лет назад

      Thank you for your feedback! You are right, however, when turning around the tool for winding back the piston, its direction won't change, and when screwing the piston, it will wind clockwise. Best regards, Autodoc.

    OMG! no stainless steel "hardware" ...or clips for the brake pads to ride on WTF???!! crap design! those pads are going to bind on a metal to metal surface.
