I loved Stefan for that but part of me wanted him to go after Luke and beat the crap out of him then bring Lucky home to his mother. Laura was always brain dead when it came to Luke. She should have had the police involved immediately.
I agree also Years ago I saw an interview with Tony Geary-aka Luke, he says that he didn’t like playing the character TBH I can definitely understand why Luke is very grimy Laura always saw him through eyes of a besotted teenager and it cost her a decent life as well as caused her kids useless pain and suffering jmho

I agree with Dawn's comment. Luke really could be the biggest jerk! Maybe because he stole her away from Scotty when she was just 16/17. Maybe because she was a child bride and didn't get to develop her own identity. And, of course, there was that rape thing....Even TG objected to that!
The writers ruined both Luke and Lucky's characters. I know TG was behind wanting to go to the dark side with Luke, but I don't think JJ was comfortable with turning Lucky into a deadbeat dad like his father.

Laura's true love has *always* been Luke Spencer and vice versa. They are each other's mutual obsession in life and it's been that way for four decades. The yin and yang, two totally different people with completely different personalities yet who fit together like two pieces of the same puzzle. Luke & Laura are soulmates and their love for one another is both epic and timeless.
Luke. I don't think Laura ever was truly in love with Stefan. He was there to help her get through an incredibly terrible time. He then raised her child. And then he was there to help get her through another terrible time. So she cared about him, but I don't think it was love. More some kind of mix of gratitude and guilt because she knew he loved her. (Maybe. I'm not sure he truly loved her either. He loved an idea of her more, I think.) Anyway, Laura would have been Luke's ride or die forever, if he had been the same for her. But his ego and selfishness couldn't accept she had another man's child and slept with a Stefan even if it was just to get her through her time on the time on the island. Laura could accept Luke's, as he describes, despicable behavior. But she could never accept the same from Stefan. She was always waiting for him to be a Cassadine so she could leave him.That is the most easily recognizable differences in the relationship.
I love the concern that Nikolas has for Lucky but the respect that Stefan had to refrain from interfering with Luke and Laura's marriage was admirable
