Thank you very much for the knowledgeable videos that you produce I was having so many issues with my clutches come to find out I was only reading Creations somebody must have lost my shins at service
So I just got a Turbo S Velocity and my secondary is spinning almost as fast as the primary in park and neutral. I think i'm going to send it in for some warranty work because i'm worried something is going on with the primary.
It's likely just a shim adjustment. Dealer can do it or you can do it with some basic tools. It's something thats easy to do and you may have to do it if you change belts etc. I did mine when I first purchased it and shifting has been buttery smooth after taking the time to shim it correctly.
@@ShaneBurrell1 Yeah i'm glad you posted this because it really doesn't seem bad on these clutches. On the other ones I saw some gnarly looking tool required.
@@ShaneBurrell1 how many shims did you end up using? My 2021 Turbo S 4 came with 3 and it’s spinning in neutral. I got more shims and will keep adding until it stops. Thanks! 🇺🇸
Shane,I see in your comments that you purchased from partzilla but in the video you mentioned that you got them from McMaster. I just had a clutch kit installed on my 21 rzr turbo and it’s doing the exact same thing. I was wondering if the shims fron McMaster work just as good because you can get 25 in pack.
Usually you need to add them from the factory. If mis aligned try adding a shim or two to see if alignment goes in the direction you need, if not you need to take shims out.
Did yours come with shims already? Mine did but the secondary still spins. If yours already had shims from the factory did you just add those from the kit to what was already there?
Mine did not come with extra shims. Adding or taking out shims depends on the alignment. You can use a cell phone camera to take a snap of where the belt alignment is and adjust accordingly. Getting it where the secondary doesn't spin helps with shifting and longevity of the transmission and shift cable.

Glad to help
That did the job! You are good to go now. Hope you had a lot of fun out there. Have a good week Shane! See ya!
Thanks! You too!

@@ShaneBurrell1 Was yours spinning in park and neutral when you got it?
Yep. You'll want to align it if yours is doing same. It will make for hard shifting.

The partzilla parts are exact. The McMaster are not. They got me by until the partzilla parts came in.
@@ShaneBurrell1 Thank you, Sir. Was it a pack of shims from partzilla.
@@donaldally7314 It was.
When do you add and when do you take out shims?

So no shimming occurs behind the secondary if your to far into the machine?
I haven't run into one with no shims but its possible.
Did yours come with shims already? Mine did but the secondary still spins. If yours already had shims from the factory did you just add those from the kit to what was already there?

Where did you buy those shims?
