Sounds interesting. On a minor note, I don't think I would store it above the stove like that. If something on the stove catches fire, you would have to reach *THROUGH* the flames to get it.
Like they recommend with fire extinguishers, I think I would hang it *NEAR THE EXIT.* That way, if you head to get the fire blanket and the fire really flares up, you won't wind up with the fire between you and safety.

Good points... I keep it below my sink now which is fairly close to the oven. Thanks for watching!

I would carry one in my bag as self-protection or saving a person life. It is a good item for people who work in a chemical factory that fire can just blast. This blanket is a life saver and saves your life.

Not sure you can cover an oven entirely so no air is getting in like you did with that little bowl with flames.

So why would you recommend putting it in the cabinet over the fire? Asking for a friend. ; ~)

So that when there’s a fire, it’s already on top of the fire to put it out. Just staying one step ahead! 😂
In all seriousness, not the wisest spot to have it. You’d want it close by but not right above the fire. Fire and heat travels upward

The only thing I would not do is have pack over stove per a big fire someone would not be able to get blanket. Maybe under sink and back side of door to even a kid can get it

Above the microwave over your oven is not optimum. You would have to be reaching through the flames to get it. I keep mine just around the corner from the oven, about 6 feet away. Same thing for the one in the room with my fireplace.

Question. Bought the same knife blankets as you. What’s the difference in the numbers. We have 1869-1997. But they sent us 1869-2019. They look the same so is it when the blankets were made or is it stock number.
