  • Pelvic Pain Symptoms and Causes in Men (For Males) covers:
    •The basics of pelvic pain including what it is
    •What are the likely pelvis pain symptoms or symptom
    •What you should do about it
    Common Pelvic Pain Symptoms or symptom: Chronic Pelvic Pain, Muscular Imbalance, Joint Imbalance, Abdominal Numbness, bloating and pelvic pain involved with pressure, Pelvic Floor Clenching/Clenching of the Pelvic Floor , pelvic floor dysfunction, Bladder Pain, Pelvic Pain Sensitivity, Pain When You Urinate, Infertility, pelvic bone pain /pelvic area pain. Pain in back (especially in lower back)
    Quick Overview: This video is focused on pelvic pain in men and we will be looking for the pelvic pain symptom or symptoms as well as the causes. Pelvic pain is also known as chronic prostatitis. This is not to be confused with regular prostatitis although both of their symptoms stress pelvic area pain. Male pelvic pain symptoms and causes are typically hard to find which is why a specialist is recommended in most cases.

    I have been dealing with this for YEARS! Symptoms started in my late 20's, I'll be 38 this year. Doctors had me on different antibiotics for almost 2 years! I've been through PT and exercise. Finally, FINALLY, I'm finding better resources on RUclips as people are talking about this more. Doing MFR right on the pubic bone and front crease of the leg have been so key in my specific case. THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT THIS!

      Hi Whenwhathuh and thank you for your compliments. Yes, the best thing we can do for ourselves is to pursue all potential sources and treatments which are relevant to us. Pelvic pain is often like our stomach hurting. You have no idea what it is or why the pain is there until you investigate a little, get some help, and then ultimately have a treatment which helps.

    Thank you for this video. And thank you for responding in the comments.
    My issues started a year and a half ago.
    Random pelvic pain, usually stabbing.
    Mostly in my public hair region. Sudden onset of frequent urination with burning. Went to the doctor because I thought UTI. Checked ok. Had pelvic ultrasound twice, and everything looked "normal".
    No hernia either.
    Pain continued off and on. Sometimes worse than others.
    8 months ago, after w pretty bad case of Covid my PSA # jumped. And jumped again 3 months later. Urologist thought it was a fluke. His examination showed a normal size and feel for my prostate.
    Retested PSA 3 weeks later and PSA came back down.
    Now I deal with random stabbing pelvic.l pain, urination stream is much weaker than before as well as ejaculation force.
    Visited a pelvic floor therapist locally. Unfortunately they don't take my health care insurance and I can't afford $150 per visit so I stopped going.
    I do some stretches but it doesn't seem to help sometimes painful.
    Please answer this part..
    Is it normal to feel more pain after kegel type exercises?
    It is really scary to me. I feel at a loss. I don't know what to think..
    Thank you!!!

    What do you think about plank exercise, is it good or bad for pelvic floor dysfunction

    • @VonGilletteFitness
      @VonGilletteFitness  3 года назад

      Hey Mohammed, thank you for the question. I think individuals have to be careful about doing the plank because it should not increase discomfort. If it does, it probably isn't appropriate for THAT time. But it can be appropriate later. The nerves which activate the abdominals also activate the pelvic floor, so you have to be careful.

      Hi Anmol, thank you for your question. I'm sorry for the late reply, how has your pain been lately?
      It's definitely time to get this checked out if you haven't done so. There is something definitely going on and it's clear that cricket is affecting it in some way or another. It could be the technique or posture which is affecting it, but often it's a combination of potentially a sport with an already pre-existing imbalance. I'm going to be going through a series in which we will break down what you can do with the low back and hip pain. Feel free to consult with me at von@vongillette.com to see if we can get to the bottom of things. Often, it can be a factor of your posture and activities with exercise, job, lifestyle, sleep, and other recreational activities which are good to look into.

    Thank you for this video. I am a guy and I am having pelvic floor dysfunction, luckily I’m seeing a PFPT and it’s helping. It’s one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced. Mine started with the combination of an incredible amount of stress, being very sedentary during the pandemic, sitting all day, and an anal Fissure. Luckily, the fissure was relatively small and it has healed. The last time I saw the colorectal doctor, he told me that the Fissure was 95% gone, and the pain I was having was classic pelvic floor dysfunction. I feel very lucky that my doctor knew enough to send me to a physical therapist. I also realize that I have suffered variations of pelvic floor dysfunction since I was a teenager. It is slowly getting better but it’s extremely uncomfortable. I have all of the symptoms you mentioned in this video. Thank you again for this video, it can feel very lonely. And it needn’t be. My physical therapist told me it is actually a very common issue and a lot of guys suffer from it. I definitely think there is also a huge stress component, the more I can stay calm and breathe, the less pain I have. Between the physical therapy and calming my nervous system, it’s getting better. But it’s a slow process! Thanks again. I’ll start doing some of these exercises.

    2:57 mark just for my own reference
    ive been having pee pee problems for almost a decade myself. had all the problems trying to identify the problems yada yada, not ic, not prostatitis, the usual. then i was given a massage around my bladder area cuz it felt tight, so i had the idea of maybe givin a pelvic floor specialist visit a try, and sure enough i found the root cause of my problem. been largely ridding the trigger spots around the area in the 7:33 mark and its helped quite a bit.
    i havent been able to sleep 9 hours straight in a decade and i accomplished that a few days ago. i havent been able to log in 8 hours straight without feeling extremely tired, but i managed to log in 8 hours straight 1 time after havin a normal day with normal 4 + 4 (4 straight hours of sleep with a pee trip then another 4 straight hours).
    the most important part about this whole problem for me by far is truly understanding what the root cause of my problem is, as identified by my pelvic floor specialist and was already able to see progress with the exercises she got me to do. and watchin vids like that further helps, so thanks again for makin vids like this.

    • @TheRealBruceLouis
      @TheRealBruceLouis 5 лет назад

      another thing i gotta tack on here is self therapy & self exercise is most important after truly understanding the root cause of my peeing problem, aka the pelvic floor muscles. i cant be having a manual therapist sitting by my side doin therapy for me on demand, they can at max offer me like 50 mins of therapy per week, which isnt enough. plus the other problem is, i know the exact spot for my trigger points and its by far the easiest for me to do the self therapy on my trigger points than having the therapist feel around only gettin myself more frustrated when she cant find the spot.
      so self exercise/therapy is really important too.

    • @VonGilletteFitness
      @VonGilletteFitness  5 лет назад +1

      @@VonGilletteFitness i got professional pelvic specialists a long while ago, things have progressed. but then i remember her mentioning dropping my pelvic floor, letting it relax and dropping it, stuff like this. ive always had trouble trying to do this thing like what she said, even though she tells me how it should feel like since u know, she cant really demonstrate something from within. i can only replicate this pelvic floor drop feeling by doin a reverse kegel that she instructed for me to do.
      but now after watching this video, and after trying the exercise of expanding my perineum when breathing in, i think i get what shes talking about now with dropping the pelvic floor. so because of doin this exercise, i found out that my anus feels like its clenching & closes up all the time. so then i try to open it up, and then the soft feeling of how its like floating downwards slowly and then softly dropping came. i think thats what my pelvic floor specialist meant by letting my pelvic floor drop right?

    Glad to see alternatives besides a internal wand. Are those gimmciky or necassary?

    • @VonGilletteFitness
      @VonGilletteFitness  3 года назад

      Hey Daniel Cielma ee, thank you for the question. Dilation therapy (which you can do with a wand) is definitely a legitimate way to treat the symptoms of over activation of the pelvic floor muscles.
      Probably the best thing about it is that it gives you immediate feedback if you are truly relaxing. Often, it's difficult to tell if a person is relaxing and they don't even realize they are constantly gripping those muscles (most often because of other stuff which triggered it like pelvic malalignment, breathing patterns, stress, etc.) This constant gripping can irritate nerves, blood flow, and create other symptoms.
      However, once a person becomes aware of it and can begin to relax them habitually and unconsciously, things can calm down. It's definitely best though to treat both symptoms and the cause of those symptoms in pelvic pain.

      Hey, I hear you on the pelvic pain. Get it checked out by the doctor and if you can go to a physical therapist who specializes in the pelvic floor.
      It’s helpful to have good pelvic alignment. Basically, insure you don’t have anterior pelvic tilt and lateral pelvic tilt (Dude, Your Hip is Higher on One Side). Check out my videos that focus on posture and alignment. If you do, focus on getting out of those as well as not doing things which make your pelvic pain worse. You might need a break from your regular exercise.
      Stress and trauma management is also important. I highly recommend a mental health therapist because the literature suggests that many individuals who have had pelvic pain may have issues with stress and trauma.
      I also recommend the following channels:

      Hey Simon, I believe you can get out of it. It can take quite awhile, but anything which reduces your pain is a sign that you can affect your system and hopefully one day, you can get to the point where you are not even worried about the pain, and can focus on optimization of your whole system which includes prevention of pelvic pain.

    I had a bad habit of sitting all day long on my computer. It has caused something in me. I feel weird in my groin area inside my bladder. My private part got sensitive and gets spasms. When I'm lying down straight or sitting, my lower back feels kinda wired LY numb and weak. And so do my legs they feel weak and sorta numb. Nothing is wrong with my upper body it's just my lower body from my lower back to the insides of my groin. To my legs. What is wrong with me ? Is this something serious? It sorta happened overtime

    • @VonGilletteFitness
      @VonGilletteFitness  2 года назад

      Greetings Legend Gaming and thank you for your question.
      It sounds like it may be tied into sitting all day. I would definitely get it checked out by a doctor first. After that, it's a good idea in general to get some intermittent movement. I recommend getting up every 30 minutes at least for 30 seconds to 1 minute. The more frequent you do it now, the better. Later, you may not need to get up that often, but it tends to help if the cause is sitting down for many hours at a time. I'm going to create a video on exactly what you can do to help during this process.

    My cramp spasm always comes at night. Every night. Esp when I sleep on my sides. Pain is Right at prostate area. I have to get up and go sit in a chair. Frequently, Later in day, I get Tailbone pain, then in both hips, then back to prostate area...oddly, the pain moves around???
    I've had cystoscope, proctoscope, mri, ct, xray...everything normal. I have had major hemeroid surgery in my 40s, and bps prostate reduction surgery 8 years ago... the problem started about 6 months after that. So, all that's left is pelvic floor. Eow, it really hurts at times.

    I was diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction by my urologist several months ago and I've been on physical therapy but my symptoms haven't really improved yet. Ive been doing the belly breathing and stretches and I go through a pattern of having a couple of good days with minimal or no symptoms but after those good days the symptoms always come back and this keep repeating in a cycle of good days and then days of symptoms flaring up. My ligament where you are touching in the video at 7:50 started to snap or pop when I stand up after sitting down or lying down and this had never happened to me before I started having PFD symptoms. I do also have discomfort in my testicles/scrotum and areas around them.

It was been at least 10 months since the symptoms started to show so I don't know how long this will last or it could be longterm and chronic. I do want to try getting a heating pad to wrap around my waste because I'm told heat can relax the muscles so in the market for a good waist heat pad. What I do notice about my pelvic floor condition is that I have a good number of days where the symptoms are very minimal or almost nonexistent but that calm period is always followed by a period of the symptoms getting active. It's a pretty predictable pattern for me.

I found the book Headache in the Pelvis which finally gave me an answer. I finally found some physical therapist that work strictly with PVD. They referred me to the one doctor in the state that deals only with PVD and she doesn't answer her phone or return calls. Going to just have to go in person and see why that is.

      Hey Steve, I'm glad you are seeing someone. Make sure that you feel you comfortable with your physical therapist and the treatment. You may have done these things before, but the first thing I want you to do is to go to a doctor (preferably a urologist, a general MD is fine) and make sure that it's not any infection or condition which could be addressed by them. @VonGilletteFitness  2 года назад +1

      Hey Sadeq, I apologize for my late reply. Did your pain and discomfort end?
      Did you get it checked out by a doc or physio specializing in the pelvis? If not, definitely go for that first. From there, it'll be good to explore all your options. It's not uncommon for there to be both pelvic pain and low back pain.
      Most people have specific triggers, so it sounds like masturbation could have been one of your triggers. Most people think masturbation simply affects the genitalia and while that's true, it also utilizes the pelvic floor musculature and often results in very strong contractions in the pelvic floor area.
      That's why it sounds like it's a good idea to focus your efforts on consciously relaxing the pelvic floor (like all the time) and potentially doing soft tissue work on and around that area, and avoiding activities (like prolonged sitting or tight fitting clothes in the pelvic floor area) which make your discomfort or pain worse.

      However, if there is a brain adaptation to the pain we have, then there are mental and physiological measures at play. Also, there are often multiple physiological mechanisms of pain too and stem cells might not help in those mechanisms.

    • @VonGilletteFitness
      @VonGilletteFitness  2 года назад

      Hi Producto626. That's a good question. Statistically speaking, it's doubtful that pelvis pain leads to knee pain, but those with pelvic pain are very likely to have other areas in which they do have pain; especially in the low back. It's always a good idea to pursue the knee pain and assume it's independent of the pelvic pain. If it happens to positively affect the knee pain, then great. If not, then at least you are addressing the knee pain.
      I would recommend a Movement System Impairment trained physical therapist. You can see if there are any close to you by calling: 314-286-1940. Inform them that you are interested in someone who has a background in Movement System Impairments in your area.

    Studying for long in seating position can cause pelvic pain ?

    • @VonGilletteFitness
      @VonGilletteFitness  3 года назад +1

      Sitting down for awhile can cause compression of the pelvic floor area and the abdominal cavity which can compress nerves, so over time, this can definitely irritate areas down there IF compression is an issue for you (and it is for most males who have pelvic pain and see a physical therapist).
      If sitting down on a toilet seat is easier for, then a compression issue is likely present.

    My problem is the exact opposite to most males. My pelvic floor muscles can not handle any muscle activity and they become overly weak from its. No pelvic therapist has any answers for it or has ever seen it. I experience Numbness everywhere after sex or orgasm from the muscle spasm. Then 1 say later for days or weeks the numbness wears off and I can bp experience a lot of pain and soreness all over and it varies. Also a bowel movement and trigger the same issue but usually not as long lasting and not nearly as often. It affects my entire muscles especially my heart and lung muscles as well and it can dilate my veins severely maybe my causing a compression of the arteries.

    Sir, I have few questions please do forgive my English I might make some mistake it's not my first language.
    I feel numbness on the left side at lower abdomen near penis as well my left testicle I have to flick it to feel, n there is chafing on the left side, I feel weird sensation at the end of the penis shaft, I can also feel that sensation through glutes then through hamstrings and all the way to toes and as well as groin inside anus and cremaster region ( on left side) i feel like cracking nerve in the groin area.
    While ejaculating my left ball goes all the way up inside groin (over active cremaster muscel says google).
    I have lower back and glute pain
    When I try to flex my muscles just like we do during ejaculation I only feel my right ball not my left one.
    And I do not have any testicular pain
    Or any lump.
    Are the above mentioned symptoms are symptoms of pelvic pain?
    And most importantly is numbness and overactive cremaster muscle are symptoms among pelvic pain.
    Thank you in advance.

      Hey Iranna, thank you for asking your question and I applaud you for doing so if English is not your first language.
      All of the symptoms you mention are common pelvic pain symptoms including the lower back and glute pain. And yes, the cremaster muscle can be associated with all those symptoms you mentioned. It's also very NORMAL to have lots of anxiety about this.
      You may have done these things before, but the first thing I want you to do is to go to a doctor (preferably a urologist, a general MD is fine) and make sure that it's not any infection or condition which could be addressed by them. As long as everything looks good, you can ask for a referral to physical therapy. Next, make an appointment and follow along with their strategies. As long as you can do physical therapy, feel free to check out these videos below:

    Thanks for bringen up this strange problem.
    Make sure by urologist that you donot have:
    Bacterial problem.
    Prostate increase.
    Blood recearch.
    Urine recearch.
    If that is all oke, there is no big problem, but the next problem is the pelvic thight problem.
    Mine is from 1991 and is still a problem, just last year 2019 checked by a urologist, blood, urine, ego testicle, ego prostate and all is good, but they donot have a solution, it cost me 500 euro.
    So still I have this problem.
    I think this is sure a problem of the pelvic area, where all the muscles and blood vessels and nerves from testikels to the prostate.
    The problem is to get to the muscles in the pelvis.

      Hey Pedro, thank you for the question. Carrying heavy boxes could be a final trigger for pelvic pain.
      It's very likely you've had combination of factors which finally culminated in your pelvic pain which have been there for a long time. These factors could be pelvic alignment which is not neutral, unconscious activation of your pelvic floor muscles (sometimes associated with squeezing your abs or holding your stomach in too much), and other issues.
      That's why it is important to go get it checked out by a physical therapist who specializes in the pelvic floor. I encourage you to go get it checked out and let me know how you are doing please.

Work on the pain, dont avoid it. 6 moths since starting meditation and now I can sit in half lotus position for 30 minutes. Even tough it cannot cure you on its own, it is very helpful. @VonGilletteFitness  5 лет назад

      Hi Reverto.o . I'm sorry you had pain after kayaking. Keep track of how long your pain lasts for and rate the intensity from a 0 out of pain being no pain and a 10 out of pain being the worst pain possible. Chronic pelvic pain is multifactorial meaning that there are multiple causes for it. If kayaking-only caused your pain, that is good because you can simply modify kayaking to help prevent pelvic pain (by adjusting your form, intensity, and how long you did it.) For example, if you haven't kayaked in months, and all of a sudden you went for a couple of hours or longer, that might cause pain.. However, if kayaking is only one of many causes of your pelvic pain, then I recommend using the strategies in this video and my other pelvic pain video:
      ruclips.net/video/dWQJlmQ2jIs/видео.html.
      Please let me know how it goes Reverto.

It's tricky and hard to find the "perfect" professional who can deliver all the treatment methods a person would need, so that's why often, I do encourage individual's I've worked with to see different practitioners depending on what their needs are. It might be a doctor to rule out other issues, a local physical therapist specializing in pelvic floor issues to do dilation therapy, an ACT or CBT therapist to help with stress and emotions which can be a real trigger for individuals with chronic pelvic pain, so my specialty is identifying the alignment and movement compensatory strategies which can be driving the source of the pelvic pain.

    I don't know what I have. I have a history of frequent urination (I could take a whizz every TV commercial). But in the third week of April 2020, six weeks into the covid quarantine, I was struck by something inconceivable: Unbelievable ache and pain in the glans and the need to urinate that was so strong and insistent and nonstop. After voiding it was like I didn't go at all. The same incredible pressure to urinate just wouldn't go away. And again, I had this otherworldly pain and ache at the same time. Urine tests showed nothing. I can't go into every detail here (it would turn into the biggest post on RUclips ever) but eventually I found out about pelvic floor therapists and pelvic medicine doctors (I even had trigger point injections into my pelvic floor by one of these doctors this past summer but the injections didn't help). My current symptoms include very frequent urination (the feeling that I have to pee just about never goes away) and my bladder doesn't seem to like any urine at all. Just a little bit within a few minutes of my previous void and it starts to get very uncomfortable. There is also this strong pressure and sensitivity and urinary infection feeling, if not quite at the tip, not too far away. And all too often I would also describe what I am feeling as this sort of "stuck-in-an-orgasm" type of feeling, combined with the pressure to urinate. I have gone for pelvic therapy for one year (in fact, I just decided to stop since I haven't seen the results I was looking for). I am on Lyrica which helps, but not enough (I might be raising the dose pretty soon). I have also taken Amitriptyline and might start that again too at some point. Right now I am in the middle of a 2-week InterStim trial. If you don't know what that is, it is a wire put inside your body that sends electrical impulses to your pelvic area and it is supposed to help with the frequent urination and perhaps even with some other symptoms (though that is not how it is advertised). The device has multiple settings for different kinds of electrical stimulation. I'm on my fifth setting and so far have nothing positive to report. Next week is my second surgery and I guess the doctor will just take out the wire. If it worked, he would implant a battery to keep it running. Sitting is routinely terrible and makes the symptoms worse. I am at a complete loss what is wrong and what to do... and I know that I can't live the rest of my life like this (I'm 55). It has destroyed me. I should also add that I had a job for 15 years where I did quite a lot of sitting in front of a computer. I retired in June 2019 and this thing hit me in April the following year. Any help & insight would be appreciated.

      Hi Brigham2250. Thank you for the sharing of your experience and it sounds incredibly difficult and unbearable. I do have some questions.
      Have you tried dilation therapy?
      Have you used different types of seating like a pelvic cushion?
      Have you tried standing most of the time?
      Do you have a history or period of traumatic events?
      Have you have your pelvic alignment checked?
      It’s helpful to have good pelvic alignment. Basically, insure you don’t have anterior pelvic tilt and lateral pelvic tilt (Dude, Your Hip is Higher on One Side). Check out my videos that focus on posture and alignment. If you do, focus on getting out of those as well as not doing things which make your pelvic pain worse. You might need a break from your regular exercise.
      Stress and trauma management is also important. I highly recommend a mental health therapist because the literature suggests that many individuals who have had pelvic pain may have issues with stress and trauma.

    • @VonGilletteFitness

      Hi Asmir and thank you for your question. Lifting weights probably by itself would not cause pelvic pain, but it potentially could make it worse or be the last line of things which contribute to your pelvic pain mechanism which finally puts you over the edge. Because of that, it may be important to modify how you lift weights and that would be a great pelvic pain topic to talk about, so I'm going to try to talk specifically about that coming up.

    The only way you can relax the pelvic floor is by stretching the prime movers muscles around the pelvic floor, you can't relax your pelvic floor without first getting at the underlying issue, you need to first do loaded eccentrics on the surrounding muscles, and once you start releasing your glutes and your hip flexors abs etc etc after you do that then you will see it's possible to relax your pelvic floor, you can't relax your pelvic floor if something is forcing it to clench... that's like saying you can open your mouth if someone is closing it shut. that being said it's good to deep breath and all of that but no massaging or anything is gonna truly help, you have to eccentrically stretch these muscles.

      Hi BIKI, I am really sorry to hear about the pelvic pain. If you haven't seen a urologist, I would try to see one first. They typically would rule out any diagnosis which is not muscular-related. If it is muscular related, you can get a referral to a physical therapist who specializes in the pelvic floor. However, you may not need a referral from a urologist, in which case, I would see both as soon as possible. In the meantime, try out the assessments and exercises/postural recommendations (if appropriate) below. There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing everything at the same time including seeing a urologist, seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist, and doing the assessments/exercises contained below.
      ruclips.net/video/ynwfM7oZB0o/видео.html
      ruclips.net/video/29bnMCwVF0c/видео.html
      ruclips.net/video/fQ5IDsY6I6E/видео.html
      From the videos above, you will correct your alignment. If the alignment contributes to your pelvic pain, you will never get to the root cause of your pelvic pain because all other treatments will be treating symptoms. (However, symptom management is incredibly important especially when getting out of pain.) But, if you're alignment is okay, then there can be other causes of the pain which I will cover in some upcoming videos because you asked this question. (One thing I suspect for you is you may be unconsciously tightening the painful area possibly all the time. Consistent mindful relaxation of the area over months can absolutely reduce the tone and potentially even the cause of the pain. While you may think you're relaxing it, it may take a lot of work to actually reduce the resting tone. I'll go over this in an upcoming video)
      My favorite book about pelvic pain (and there are other good resources too) is Ending Male Pelvic Pain by Isa Herrera. She includes the best addressing of symptoms I've seen (although no one single book is the best). I've read a ton of literature including academic textbooks on pelvic pain, but I still like Herrera's book the best. Don't be afraid to read about this topic and stay optimistic.
      Pelvic pain is horrible. I had it for six months and it literally made me depressed. It took awhile for me to get out of it (and sometimes it would take a week or two) to really know if a treatment was actually reducing symptoms, but I am extremely confident BIKI you will find what works for you and you will get out of your pain.

      Hi BIKI, thank you for following up. I'm sorry for the very late response. I remember how hard it was to wait when I was in pelvic pain. I'm going to create some tutorials which are available no where on RUclips. In fact, I haven't been able to find a single video on the tutorial I have in mind. Have you done any internal dilator stretching? How sensitive is your pelvic area when you do massage? Can you put a lot of pressure into your perineum area?

    Hi. I suspect I have a "soft symptom" Cpps. First I've been diagnosed with a "prostatitis" with residual pain that I'am treating it by now with stretching, pollen capsules, meditation and amitriptilin in very low dose prescripted by a "pain doctor" to calm down the excited nerves in my pelvis floor ( 1/10 of the dose used as antidepresant ). I have highs and lows trough the days. Some days I feel almost no disconfort at all, I ride my motorbike and do my workouts without problem, but other days I feel only some of the typical symptoms ( as tightness and heaviness in the perineun/anus zone and little pain and also few moments of discomfort in the genitalia), that bother me. The funny thing is that after doing excercises the pain or disconfort decreases haha, maybe due to the endorphins.
    When I started with the protatitis/cpps the symtoms were far more intense, at the point that it was very unconfortable ( but not disabling) to walk ( at the point you think you have hemorroids haha), also some peeing urgency and altered orine flux, I felt weak and tired as I had flu and short and fast breathing and difficulties to sleep some days ( maybe it was just anxiety of not knowing what happened to me) and also with occasional pricks or "electricity" in the zone.
    Some days the stretching excercises helps me to relax. But other days, when I have almost no symptoms I've noticed that after doing the stretches the discomfort and tightness increases. Is this common? Did It happen to you? I have to say this days I ve been having soft constipation, that could be part of the problem. The only explanation that I can imagine is that it could be because with the stretch and breathing we are working on the knots and the contracted muscles, and as a consecuence we feel little pain after, like when you take a massage session.
    Do you do the deep belly breathing technique during the stretching routine? Maybe that breathing provokes some pressure om the pelvic floor. Thanks a lot!

    Is it a symptom to feel more pain after sex in your pelvic area then leads to groin?

    • @VonGilletteFitness
      @VonGilletteFitness  2 года назад

      Hey Jose, it definitely can be. Sex can activate certain pelvic floor musculature which for some people can cause issues. For others, it won't be a big deal. It is good to be aware of this and this is good news. The good news is that you have potentially found one of the mechanisms of your pain. This is good to let your pelvic floor physio or physical therapist know. Then, you can focus on potential sources which become activated during sex.
