      I have been trying to heal acute diverticulitis for almost 4 months. I have been to the ER 3 times, my primary Dr.,a gastroenterologist and just got home from being hospitalized for 11 days. Every medical person I spoke to I told them I had deep pain in my vagina, rectum and across my pelvis. No one addressed it except to give me opioids. I believe the strain from the constipation and gut inflammation has irritated my pelvic nerves.
      There is no Dr. in my area who treats this and getting pain medicine in Florida is next to impossible unless connected to a hospital stay and even that's tough. Thank you for posting. I did the stretching and it did bring hope and a bit of relief.❤❤❤

    I just want to share my experience: I sat on a surface that was too hard and worked on a laptop for maybe 2 weeks and ended up over straining the muscles where my back ends and my butt starts. I would describe my nerve pain a mix of piriformis and pudental neuralgia when it first started out exactly 1 year ago. When I did a specific stretch for piriformis syndrome it stopped causing big waves of nerve tingles in the genital region. But what remained were nerve tingles that caused the sensation of extreme itching. Naturally I went to the doctor because I figured I had some itching skin issue. It took a while to figure out my symptoms were nerve related. I tried all kinds of exercises, including those in the video but for me personally they made it worse. I've only figured out in these last 2 weeks that all i need to do to fix it, is roll those strained muscles over a tennis ball (i personally use a hockey ball because tennis balls are too soft to really massage those muscle adhesions. It's quite painful to roll over those areas with a hard ball while pushing yourself up with your arms, however, my symptoms are ALMOST fully gone, I can't believe it took me 1 year to really figure it out because doctors were useless, they don't know muscle adhesions like that can affect the nerve pathways leading to the pelvic floor. It even affected my bladder and it felt like I had to pee, almost like a bladder infection but still different. I'm so happy I found something to relieve the symptoms and the best thing for me really was massaging those muscles with a ball and going for walks, but the exercise with the hockey ball to losen up those muscles really did wonders. Hope this helps someone else!
    Edit Dec 20: I'm not fully healed yet but the symptoms have changed, it's either burning or tingling but less itching and tingling. I simply keep massaging the buttox area and all muscle tissue deep within. It helps to explore which muscles are affected, massage the parts that hurt. I'm also seeing a neurologist in January but it remains to be seen if they can help at all. I also bought an electric heat blanket which remove symptoms completely, as long as the area is warm. Hot baths also help but I have no bathtub. I will update if I have a new breakthrough.

    Thank you x 1000!! I'm a 45 yo male in relatively good health. 5 months ago I was getting into a my new-to-me truck, which was a whole different way of entering a vehicle for me due to it being about a foot higher then my previous car, and during the first week or regular driving I entered it and felt a little zing where the seat edge scraped my inner-thing/groin area as i tried to slide into the seat from ground level.. too big of a stretch. No big deal at the time, but I repeated this mistake for a couple weeks not thinking much of it, telling my self each time I would figure out how to avoid it next time:/ and then it all started to go down hill and the abdominal cramping and scrotal pain and tenderness at the base of my left but cheek really kicked in. Anyways, the pain was so widespread and diffuse and my stomach was hurting and I was exhausted, and I started going to the doctors and the did all the labs and a sonogram and needless to say, 6 visits later they are still unsure. I have spent the last 2 weeks literally doing nothing but bed rest and non-movement as much as possible hoping this would just pass on it's own and eating nothing but vegetables and Gatorade to see if everything was possibly due to a new food intolerance or some kind of extreme dehydration issue. All of that has helped a lot of my pains subside, but I just felt fragile and still very much on the verge of relapsing to my previous pain and discomfort levels at the slightest wrong step or turn in bed. Tonight, in one of my long RUclips research rabbit holes, I came across a website with a virtual 3D model of a human male anatomy and it helped me pinpoint the actual names of the exact places that hurt, and it appears to be my left side pudendal nerve that is the hot spot, and was the exact location of my initial little zings from my new truck. I'm not endorsing the 3D model website other than it it really was amazingly helpful in identifying the parts that actually hurt!! It's called Zygote Body 3D.. regardless, my first google search of the nerves I pinpointed on that site led me to your video, so I did some of the stretches (very carefully) and none of them hurt me, and actually felt relieving. I'll continue to do them while I try to get in with a physical therapist to see if they can verify my self-diagnosis. Anyways, I'm not a dumb person but this whole injury has impacted my life more than any other injury I've ever sustained. It's emotionally exhausting to be in constant pain and in fear of a full relapse at any time, and my heart goes out to anybody in the world that suffers chronic pain, especially undiagnosed. Sorry for all the details but if there are any other dumb guys like me in the world who don't understand what nerve pain is, or which nerves are which and who have a truck.. then maybe this will help them out a bit and bring them to your channel for some great help!!

Your sections about the drop and side to side movements after cobra pose are exactly what I need to tie me over from 70% to hopefully 100%. 'Vibrant' is certainly a perfect word for your work!! What a positive, grounded soul you are, & the exercises are effective. I appreciate the modifications provided. I am in the beginnings of this diagnosis (seemingly it is the dorsal region only of my nerves affected). It came upon suddenly several months after a successful gynecological surgery that I was doing well with. My doctor has no idea why it happened when I was progressing so well in every other way, including some vagus nerve issues I'd had that I worked hard at & had resolved. I also have no issues with pelvic floor hypetonicity, something else I had under control (I thought) after many years of working with it & learning relaxation techniques. So I'm confused, lost & discouraged. This burning has been absolutely excruciating but I'm desperately trying to avoid long term pharmaceuticals which of course is a go-to for doctors. I'm instead diving into nutrition, supplements, trauma therapy & physio/chiro for nerve healing. But I was hoping for some simple stretches to do in the worst of the pain while I struggle. I also have noticed that something in my gentle daily Qigong routine is irritating the condition but couldn't place it, now I know it was the few moves that involved some squatting. Thank you so much for this, truly. God bless you.

    Thank you so much for making this video. Your information is so helpful!
    I feel really confident that I have pudendal neuralgia. Basically every symptoms fits perfectly, based on your video and my research. I gave birth 10 weeks ago and have been dealing with the pain since.
    I’ve seen several doctors and finally got a referral to the pelvic floor PT. At that point, I hadn’t heard of this condition. The PT checked my pelvic floor muscles and said everything was functioning fine. She didn’t check anything else, and didn’t have me move in any way or try any stretches. She basically said PT couldn’t help me, and I felt so discouraged.
    Do you think I should get a second opinion? The pain hasn’t gotten better and it is really taking a toll on my quality of life.
    Thanks in advance for any help!

      It’s so important to know the root cause of your symptoms. Now that you have that knowledge, you are better equipped to move forward in your healing journey. Don’t hesitate to reach out to a local pelvic PT (if possible) for extra support. Typically, stretches and relaxation techniques help relax the muscles that surround the pudendal nerve, thereby releasing impingement and easing pressure that can irritate the pudendal nerve. My Overcome program can help with managing symptoms.

Going #2, missionary intercourse, I have to pee urgently at the most random times and I'm only 33, when I walk up the stairs I feel like there's resistance lifting my legs, and I get stabbing pain when sitting or standing too long and my thighs go numb if I sit on a hard toilet longer than 5 mins. I have read in several articles that squats should perhaps be avoided with this condition. Which leg exercises are safe? Are lunges safe? Or would that just be considered a unilateral squat?
    I did lunges a few days ago, when I was doing them everything felt okay and immediately afterwards as well, but I've had a lot of upper leg pain and inner thigh pain high up for three days now since the day I did them, and more neuropathic symptoms in the pelvis. Not sure if it's linked though.

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  4 месяца назад

      Pudendal neuralgia, just like any pelvic condition, is difficult because everyone will respond **differently** to exercises based on the severity of their condition and their exercise performance (relative to their current needs). For example, some people with pudendal neuralgia do really well with a few mini air squats or unweighted lunges that aren't too deep. However, this might evoke a symptom flare in other people with PN. Perhaps you did a few too many lunges for where you are (right now)... It would be ideal to contact a pelvic floor physical therapist in your local area if you have access to one! And for now, you might want to focus more on stretches, relaxation exercises/techniques, position changes as often as possible, and walking rather than squats and lunges.

    For the baby cobra excersize, which muscles am I supposed to be using to lift? My core, my arms, my lower back? I'm a bit confused

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  7 месяцев назад

      In the baby cobra exercise, you primarily use the muscles of your lower back, specifically the erector spinae muscles, to lift your chest off the ground. Your arms provide support, but they're not the primary movers in this exercise. Engaging your core muscles can help stabilize your spine and support the movement, but they're not the main muscles responsible for lifting. Focus on gently contracting your lower back muscles to lift your chest while keeping your core engaged and avoiding excessive strain on your arms. ~Vibrant Support

    I can't tell if it's PN, or levator ani or haemorrhoids. How does a PT differentiate?

      A pelvic floor physical therapist uses a combination of detailed history-taking, physical examination, and specific tests to differentiate between conditions like pudendal neuralgia, levator ani syndrome, and hemorrhoids. Their specialized training allows them to distinguish between similar-feeling issues for accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment. ~ Vibrant Support

    Can pudendal irritation also cause numbness in the area's mentioned rather than pain?x

      Yes, pudendal nerve irritation can cause numbness in affected areas, not just pain - it's best to discuss these symptoms with your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. ~ Vibrant Support

    I started having pain in my perenium after having nerve blockers for groin pain. I'm not sure if it's pudendal neuralgia or not. Has anyone had a similar experience? A lot of the pelvic floor relaxation exercises I've tried since the nerve blockers have not helped.

      I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing pain and discomfort for the past three years, and that you suspect it may be pudendal neuralgia. It can be challenging to deal with chronic pain, but I'm glad you found the video helpful and are willing to give it a try.
      Remember to approach any new exercises or techniques with patience, consistency, and mindfulness. It may take time to notice improvements, and it's essential to listen to your body and adjust accordingly.
      I encourage you to seek professional medical advice and guidance for your specific situation. They can provide you with a comprehensive assessment and recommend the most suitable treatment options based on your individual needs.
      In the meatime, feel free to check my Overcome program, which can help with pudendal neuralgia.

    Currently diagnosing myself with this condition. I seem to have settled my spondylolisthesis and what remains is PN. Now I have to convince my Doctor, Gynecologist and Neurosurgeon this exists in my body. Then my long term disability can continue until I am competently able to resume my work duties. No one I have ever met has had this condition. Great video and posts. Thanks for sharing.

      Hi Sherry I also have sponylolisthesis and self diagnosed PN and im miserable! I have seen a muscular skeletal consultant and a neurosurgeon. Neither will take the PN seriously!

    Mine burns really bad. Sooo bad! I have been diagnosed with neuropathy of the pelvic floor. But now am aware of Pederna nerve entrapment. Do you think these exercises will help? I was diagnosed in 2011 with neuropathy after hip replacement. It was tolerated in the beginning, but now I am on fire. I am having trouble finding the right Dr to help. But continue to look. Do you have any ideas for someone like me?
    I am also disabled from car accident. I have done some form of these exercises, but it seems to get worse.
    I will try your suggestions. Any advice would be helpful.

      @Jéssica Ferrari I lost the video. The exercises never seem to work. My pain Dr thinks a spinal stimulater might help. I also have a 45 degree curve in my spine. A lot to deal with. I do try the exercises occasionally, but it burns worse, so I stop. This is the first message I have received from this site in quite a while.

      This workout is **pelvic floor aware** meaning that specific cues are given for breathing and technique. This keeps the workout "pelvic floor friendly" for people with all sorts of pelvic floor issues. That being said, I can't guarantee that it will be appropriate for your needs. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT and will tolerate exercises differently. Listen to your body and stop or modify if anything feels uncomfortable for your particular core/pelvic floor needs. Talk to your local pelvic floor physical therapist for individualized medical advice!
