14 year old me getting on my bicycle to the local corner store to fill up my backpack with soda, getting back to my bedroom with the Halo 2 menu lighting up the room as I partied up with my XBL friends for the weekend.
We played so much of Bungie’s Halo they calculated that the hours altogether add up to being able to cross the Milky Way and back at the speed of light. That’s the Halo I remember.
The context we have these experiences in is so important. Halo 3 was where competitive multiplayer really landed with me. I have to say I was one that drifted off to COD but always came back to Halo.
Man everything said is sooooo true! 😢 The memories with buddies is what makes it special. I remember getting on with my buddies every night and just running till 3 4 sometimes even 5 in the morning. Like mentioned though growing up is just a part of life and all we have is those memories to look back on. Man I really do miss this time of gaming there will never be a time like it.
I really tried to relive it with creating a clan again when Forge for infinite came out.. but the clan community fizzled out so quickly. But regardless, it wasn't the same with my H3 and Reach days. Remember the late nights and those who helped you through those hard times, as simple as it may have seemed at the time. It was huge.
Starry night trailer literally gave me chills and still sends emotions and shivers everytime. Halo will always be incredible for me and knowing that you guys have the same hype.. I love it!
@@SacredIcon the love i have for your hype and the content you create and just being able to listen to 2 guys who literally embody how I feel. After most of my life as a halo fan is incredible! So thank you for being sacred and thank you for staying true
Your narration and dialogue couple with the choice in music made me choke up here. Sometimes I just leave The MCC menu up and close my eyes on the couch just to feel all that nestolgia drug.
I had PS2. But my step brother would come over every weekend and we would fight through Halo on the Xbox, he always saved Halo for the weekend with me. And then of course when Halo 2 came out of course he got it and we fuckin fell in love with it. Hundreds upon hundreds of hours spent on Halo and Halo 2 living in Arizona, by the time Halo 3 came out we were mostly online and now living in New Mexico, I barely remember the campaign and before we knew it we left Halo completely and started modern warfare, I don't think we played Halo again after modern warfare. He moved back to Arizona in 2011 and we haven't really talked since. I don't know why. It's been over 9 years since I've seen his face or heard his voice. Acethemassacre was his tag. Sometimes it feels like that part of my life was just a dream living as someone else. And now that I'm awake it's all just a foggy memory.

This is where we wanna live forever 🤟🏻
Halo hype isn’t just an era, it’s a people.
I’ll still be playing this game when I’m old, I’ll be excited to show this series to my children.
We will be right there with you 👊🏻
@@SacredIcon Damn thats wholesome.
The earth is 4.54 billion years old and we were lucky enough to be born at this time to experience this masterpiece
damn..that made me tear up.

Best memories were always at another friends house. Red vs Blue, good food and good times. So glad I lived through those halo/ gears times.
I would do anything to go back to these simpler times.

I'm looking forward to introducing my children to the bungie series, the storytelling is something I miss from that era.
