Hey Soup Squad! In this one we fly out the F2H2 at 7.3 in the US tech tree. This thing turned out to be fun to play. Back in the day it was broken, which no longer seems to be the case. But, play it right, aka keep your speed high, and you should do at LEAST fairly well! The matchmaker is pretty favorable, only having to worry about a select few vehicles outspeeding you. In those instances you usually have other options.
I would definitely recommend you grind to this thing if you're considering getting jets in the American tech tree, especially if you have no prior jet experience. I find this plane to be a good transition aircraft to get you used to jet gameplay (playing the US TT, you should already be used to booming and zooming in the p47's and p51's- this is similar, just, faster, and in any direction, not just a dive). The F80 is a decent option though, too, so do your worst. Anyways, this description is long enough, this isn't an essay. Peace.

if you wanna play jets just play war thunder (dedicate hundreds of hours to unlock them or give them your money to get a jet then get pooped on since you don’t understand how missiles work)

I grinded with the XP-50 and 1 day of premium from early rank 2 almost enough of Rank 4 to research a jet (1mln SL, maybe I'll get it even today as I have 6 hours of premium left).
I spent less than I would on a fastfood. However I'm not "new", because I had an account rank 4 germany and rank 3 USSR (f2p it took me 200 hours there). Couldn't buy the plane there, because my steam account was connected to a random account I made a long time ago. Still worth it though.

Tbh it's not a hard grind at all. The game isn't ment to be speed ran I will admit but going from reserve to 7.0 takes a few weeks of playing, with a full time job and taking a weekend trip without the game. Plus it's a free game I am not a premium vehicle person, but premium is not that expensive if you need to rush it some. The game has plenty of issues but the grind isn't one of them
The F2H has become my favorite low-tier jet ever, especially now that it's at 7,3 where it should've been a long time ago. Can't believe it used to be 8,3 lmao. Also, if you ever accidentally fly out with the tip tanks, you can jettison them.

I actually didn’t think about that! I just thought the were permanent since they aren’t your average drop tank
@@batlax18 Actually, they were non-removable up until a few updates ago. Up until then, you had to fly the F2H with the tip tanks.
@@Rumble_Pak yeah I knew that much, but I had no idea it got changed until General lee said it on stream, and at that point I knew you could take them off, but it’s a cool feature that you can jettison them too
@@batlax18 Oooh lol, I getcha now. They should also jettison on their own when empty but Air RB matches don't last that long anyways.
This was my first jet, i ussually fly in with minimal fuel load and the tip tanks, and then i jettison them once i start fighting

I came here just because I saw the F2H on the thumbnail. I'm all the way up to the a-10 and the F5. But the F2H is still hands down my favorite jet I've flown. It was one of the most effortless jets to fly, it has good speed, good energy retention, good cannons. It's an all-around great trainer to teach pilots how to go from props to Jets!

Actually, this has been my first jet and it's actually better than the P-80
I have grinded till MIG-19PT for USSR, got the squadron me-262, a4e, but when I got this jet when I decided that I wanna grind USA, i fell in love with it, in my opinion, it's a perfect low tier jet, I think i have enjoyed it more the first few hours I got it than any other jet I have. Also the 250 bombs on it are pretty good, I regularly kill at least 2 tanks with them in GRB.
About 250lb bomb once i drop it right on top of tiger 2 litteraly on its roof, it just hit.
And i think the usa middle tech tree line have alot of changes, it kinda messed up the progress, most of mandatory vehicle to research are regrouped as non mandatory and damn now to get f9f i have to restart the progres from rank 2.

How can u deploy flaps at such high speeds? When I try that it says „flaps blocked at high speeds“

Love the vid and the play style but please, do go to seccondary weaponry and desellect the drop tanks mate, you'll get a loooooot better performance ;)
Oh and as a PS that was my first jet and i love it now that the DROP tanks can be dropped, would love to have a chat about the planes performace
@@danitiborc868 Hahahaha, I actually removed them for the other couple games, it had been awhile since I played it and didn't realize till later u could remove em :) Thing performs great in my eyes! Thanks for the advice & kind words

Besides what I said in the video, in general, keep your speed as high as possible at all times. In planes energy is king: for props, altitude is most important, in jets, speed is most important. As long as you do that, you should be good :) congrats on reaching jets!
