Notice how on the core belief system, anxiety often uses 'if' statements (e.g., 'If I joined the team...'), whereas other emotions tend to use 'I' statements (e.g., 'I am a good friend')
I love that because it's so accurate to how anxiety works... and also because it hints at the Sense of Self that those beliefs will end up forming. Anxiety can't see what she's unintentionally teaching Riley, but things like "If I'm a Fire Hawk, I won't be alone" and "If I'm good at hockey, I'll have friends," the if-then statements that are Anxiety's whole look-to-the-future thing, are really just saying "as I am NOW I'm not good enough, I need this other thing to be acceptable."

Just hearing all those voices from the belief system makes it just so relatable, all those positive and negative beliefs colliding. Which gives us more anxiety to handle. Because we want to be our best self, but it can become more nerve wrecking to handle, because then we start doubting ourselves that we’re ’not good enough’. Seeing all 9 emotions hug the belief system just brings me to tears every time. Because they are not just hugging the system but ACTUALLY all hugging Riley herself, from the ‘inside out’, saying “It’s ok. We’re all here for you, Riley. You’re never alone. @@MR-wz1ut That’s a good point. I think it’s many because everyone has different ways on how their emotions work and how they are handled. So yeah, in Riley’s case, support from her emotions, family and friends helps her relieve her negative thoughts. When sometimes for others, different strategies would help them.
27:20 Such clever symbolism used here. From Riley feeling the sun shine on her, it meant that whenever in times of doubt and stress, there will always be a shining hope to help overcome it. In this case, her friends, her family, her emotions, and most importantly, believing in herself. When Riley finally knew that, instead of her emotions choosing to take over Riley, Riley actually chose to be happy, she was now controlling her own emotions and chose Joy to help her begin that shining hope. Working at a smooth, steady pace while at the same time, to keep moving forward, knowing she is never alone.
Adding more to that symbolism, when Riley was awake early to get in extra ice time, the sun was shining in a dawny orange color, signifying Anxiety starting to take more and more control. While in the end, when Riley chooses Joy to feel happy, the sun shines a bright yellow.

I swear, this is like the first movie in some ways. In the first movie, all Joy wanted for Riley was to be sure she was always positive and happy, no matter what, even through the darkest of times. But in the end, she finally understood what this was doing to Riley. For burying all that inner sorrow and doubt, it was destroying Riley from the ‘inside out’. She needed to embrace those emotions other than happiness. In the second movie, it was with beliefs, of what Riley thought of herself as. Only focusing on positive beliefs, because the emotions thought that that’s what made Riley feel accepted that way. Which again, was destroying her from the ‘inside out’. Because those negative beliefs are also what makes Riley Riley. It doesn’t mean that she’s a bad person. Everyone one of those beliefs makes her who she is as a human being. And other people accept those things about you, cause that’s what makes you you. Morals for both of those was so impactful and true. Never try to shadow your inner conflicts or negative beliefs with positivity. Because you won’t be hurting others if you don’t, you would hurting yourself the most. Hurting the real you that YOU are meant to be. Hiding the true definition of yourself. From the ‘inside out’. Always be true to yourself, and never try to bottles those conflicts up, embrace them and accept all your emotions and beliefs for what they can do to benefit your life.

PIXAR DOES IT AGAIN! But seriously I just can’t get over the amount of happiness that I feel when Pixar tells real life situations in such a good way, especially when it comes to growing, so like in the first one when all Riley needed was joy, that’s honestly how all of us were at the age of 10 and under we just needed happiness in our lives, but this movie perfectly expressed the feeling and realization that we won’t always experience joy in our lives and that we’re gonna come across so many challenges but but if we keep our heads up and stay confident joy will once present herself(I say her cause I believe she is a tiny emotion walking around in our head)
When Joy yells at Fear, Anger and Disgust and says they do nothing but complain, I feel that is Disney talking to their audience. Let's face it, lately most of the fans of Disney films, Marvel films and Star Wars films do nothing but complain, complain, COMPLAIN!
It makes even more sense when Disney was controlling other franchises and studios just like how Joy was controlling and suppressing the other emotions (especially Sadness) in the first movie. Granted, that's still happening now, but you can see my point.
The panic attack scene in this movie was done so well, my heart started beating really fast and I got stressed out as well, I wasn’t expecting much from a beloved movies sequal, but they outdid themselves with this.

Saw it in theaters in 3d twice and teared up. I also jumped both times when the hockey puck was shot straight into the goal because it looked like it was flying right at me 😂.
The reason why the console calls Joy to itself is because in the first years of life, people are prey to their emotions but when they mature, they are the ones who have control over their emotions and therefore recall them when necessary.
I experienced anxiety attack for the 1st time when I got verbally bullied during last year of elementary and that was also the time I just started puberty not long ago. The part Riley has anxiety attack reminds me of that moment so I was sobbing so hard from that part until end of credit.

People that review the movie on youtube say that it's way too similar to the first film and that they didn't use the new emotions enough apart from anxiety but i don't think these critiques are valid because yes they do go back out of headquarters but nothing is the same from the last film and it is fun to see the changes made to parts like imaginationland. When anger says Joy is delusional, and she doesn't even deny it, it made me think about they reinforce the idea that a healthy mind cannot be happy all the time. Or else she would become utterly disconnected from reality
I saw it in 3D in the theater! It was so beautiful and absolutely made me cry as someone who suffers from generalized anxiety disorder and panic attacks❤
the end credits scene of her darkest secret made a lot of people mad and like what that’s it. but tbh it makes so much sense that as a kid your deepest darkest secret is something so mundane and as she ages (joy telling the new secret) the secrets get more and more adult and intense

I’m not really the type to comment on people’s videos but I had to come in here to say that I found you cause you showed up on my recommends, so I started watching and let me tell you, you have one of the best energy ever, your voice is so melodic and you’re also beautiful, and the way you talk in general is just so great that you should literally be a news anchor or something, even voice actor, YOU’RE GREAT and I’ll definitely keep watching
This is so sweet omg? Thank you so much🥺
Saw it in theaters in 3d twice and teared up. I also jumped both times when the hockey puck was shot straight into the goal because it looked like it was flying right at me 😂.
2:59 don’t worry Monica, I felt the same way watching the intro in theaters as well
So happy to see you again Monica also Inside Out 2 is my favorite movie of 2024 😄👏🏻💛💙💜🧡❤🎥
The reason why the console calls Joy to itself is because in the first years of life, people are prey to their emotions but when they mature, they are the ones who have control over their emotions and therefore recall them when necessary.
i saw the movie in theaters and it was amazing, I love your videos by the way
I experienced anxiety attack for the 1st time when I got verbally bullied during last year of elementary and that was also the time I just started puberty not long ago. The part Riley has anxiety attack reminds me of that moment so I was sobbing so hard from that part until end of credit.
your outfit is a slay and your gorgeous hair, so beautiful
Love this video! I remember crying so hard when I first watched it and the chills that ran down my spine when she said “I’m not good enough” we’re INSANEE. Your reaction was so sweet glad I found your channel!
Anxiety is my favorite character on Inside Out!
Her laugh brightens my day. :)
⭐ I couldn't agree more! Inside Out 2 really captured the beauty of emotions in such a unique way. Your reaction and commentary made it even more enjoyable to watch! 💖 It's been a while since I've seen a film that resonated with me so deeply.
Thanks for sharing your insights! I’d love to see you react to Soul next-it has such a beautiful message about life and purpose! 😊🎥
#InsideOut2 #Pixar #Emotions
People that review the movie on youtube say that it's way too similar to the first film and that they didn't use the new emotions enough apart from anxiety but i don't think these critiques are valid because yes they do go back out of headquarters but nothing is the same from the last film and it is fun to see the changes made to parts like imaginationland. And with how many characters there are i think they did a great job with giving them all some moments to shine.
I swear if y’all didn’t cry at the new Sense of Self, you are literally dead inside! I said what I said!
Yay I would love love love to see an inside out 1 reaction!!! ❤
girl i am so with you on them disney prices 😞 why is it getting SO EXPENSIVE
No because they’re actually so greedy atp?
Way to go Encanto being your biggest video, that’s my jam!! 😂 Inside Out 2 is a masterpiece, and it hit way too hard man, so many good moments!
“it looks like Avatar!” I SAID THE SAME THING !!😂❤
Hey ,Monica wanted to say always enjoy your commtary to these movies and shows.
I'd especially liked this one ❤❤ it gave me soo much comfort and helped through the struggle I'm going through mentally, much love ❤🎉
Being able to grow up with Riley is amazing being able to see the struggle and journey of 'PubAte' lol😂 (puberty) being shown even as a young Adult gave soo much joy/comfort
Anxiety is alot some days and I agree they did a great job in both movies ❤
I think as you get older and you have more to worry about, it can feel like there is less joy in your life. But in reality, joy and happiness are always there, the only difference is that you have to chose to feel it.
21:44 I understand that some movie sat eamaing when they are long like Lord of the rings Directors cut. And other special edition films with added content. Animated films work well with a shorter time. With a few exceptions I could watch them for another hour an half (like spider man, The Mitchells vs The machines, Nimona)
finallyyyyyy i really love your channel
Sadness and Anxiety are my favorite characters. This movie is the best Pixar movies imo
Disney Pixar
OMG YAY IM GLAD U WATCHED ITT❤❤❤
I watched it with my friend group of 5 in the cinema and i was the only one who cried 😅
I didn’t cry at the first movie but watching it here I’m frixken bawling!! So good! I need to make sure my niblings watch this.
I have seen this movie twice in theater. Second time was with friends and I BAWLED my eyes out.
When anger says Joy is delusional, and she doesn't even deny it, it made me think about they reinforce the idea that a healthy mind cannot be happy all the time. Or else she would become utterly disconnected from reality
So Awesome
I love pixar movies so damn much
I clicked so quick❤❤❤
I just want one more and it’s like Riley’s senior year then adult hood
I saw it in 3D in the theater! It was so beautiful and absolutely made me cry as someone who suffers from generalized anxiety disorder and panic attacks❤
Best Disney Pixar movie of 2024
you know what could be cool? exploring grief and having it “poison” joy in a way instead of just removing her it ruins her.
the end credits scene of her darkest secret made a lot of people mad and like what that’s it. but tbh it makes so much sense that as a kid your deepest darkest secret is something so mundane and as she ages (joy telling the new secret) the secrets get more and more adult and intense
u know imagine if they did a flashback to joy playing hockey when riley was younger would have killed me but would have been a really good thing to add
People shipping the old and new emotions is really cute: Joy & Anger, Fear & Anxiety, Sadness & Embarrassment.
1:02 the way she said it just after I went off the video to see if she had a reaction to the first one so I could watch her reaction to the second one straight after this I why we stay after the intro💀😭
I watched it in theaters and cried sooo much!! I was having a really bad day and really made me feel better!!
17:05 It's the TripleDent Gum Song!
I saw it in theaters twice now am just watching reactions to it waiting for it to be in Disney plus
YOU ARE SO PRETTY
I just realized I sound like envy LMAO!
Not sure if you caught this, but the colors on the shirt that Riley grows out of all represent the original emotions. It represents her growing out of the original emotions and expanding
I only seen it once in the movie theater. I want a physical copy of inside out 1 and 2
YASSS
I watch it twice at the movie theater, it was just so well done
I went to the cinema to see the Inside out 2 movie and I was Impressed They did so good ❤
I didn’t know this was out on streaming, I watched it in an IMAX theater and it was really good
Thank you for saying that
2:55 EEEHHHH I DO THE SAME THING AND WE SANG IT AT THE SAME TIMEEEEEE
