Billie and Mike's vocal harmonies are so perfect here, and Tre is so in the pocket on the drums. This is prime example of Green Day locked in and at their very best 🤟
I actually first heard Green Day when I was 6 or 7 on my brother's Cassette Tape of Dookie I'm 35 It's funny how our generation of music seemed to explode with emotion and pure raw talent Green Day, Tool, Korn, SOAD, A Perfect Circle, Marilyn Manson, Red Hot Chilli Pepper's, Rage Against The Machine, Nirvana, Godsmack, Mudvayne and so on... The thing about these bands was that every album had a long list of hit songs, they weren't like today's music (2010's-2024) where they have 1-3 hit wonders then dissapear into the Fog where another singer/band does their same type of style and passes the terminal torch.
Tre Cool absolutely shreds! One of my fav drummers along with Daniel Adair! Of course Billie Joe and Mike kill it too!🤘🏻 Solid band all around, you can tell they enjoy playing together
You know who absolutely shreds and possibly influenced Tre Cool? Bomer Manzullo from RKL. Check out the live version of Blocked Out by RKL and you will understand why.
Check his posture, is almost immobile and still plays like hell. Evidence of years of studies, no improvisations. They all can play for real, I call them 'fake punk' :-)
I heard Basket Case on the radio in 1994 and bought Dookie and Woodstock 94 on CD, when I was 9 years old. I remember Dookie cost like $6 or something, at the store… It’s now 30 YEARS AGO…What??????! These guys were an incredible talent, and so young! I’ve got Nostalgia off the charts right now.
I remember 10 years ago watching these videos at my parents house pretending I was really there lmao. Now im 24, in my own home with two kids - doing the same exact thing 🤣 you can just feel the energy.
Thats because they were literally on a drug called "speed" which makes them hyper energized im the brain and heart rate... its actually quite dangerous but it made their concerts have unmatched energy back then, they dont do hard drugs anymore so their energy is a lot lower nowadays but they still sound great

I was born 4 years after this. 1998 was kind of a miss for me, should've been '88; cos I really do prefer older music to anything else but then again I enjoy being a 2000's kid because then I got American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, which is in my top 3 albums of all time.
Checking in from 2023 with the following: it's been longer since Woodstock '94 than it was between Woodstock '94 and the original Woodstock. The end! No moral.
It's kinda sad. Although I was at this concert........people seem to be at this concert just to be 'at this concert''. Very few could appreciated the music. It was about being seen and being there. The whole musical appreciation failed. I was at many outdoor concerts in my day and they were about the music. Not about the notoriety like this reunion wanted to capture. Times really suck as far as musical venues and the appreciation of music. Give me one CSN and Y to any concert now a days
Billie and Mike's vocal harmonies are so perfect here, and Tre is so in the pocket on the drums. This is prime example of Green Day locked in and at their very best 🤟
Yeah, their voices are perfect together.
I agree they were excellent, but they’re 30 years better now.
Brasileiro, também curti o Green day ,sonzera, bom demais. Montes Claros MG,Brasil. Dezembro de 2024.
Back when MTV actually broadcast music television. Watched this all day at a watch party. Good times.
Thanks guys, got me through my first heartbreak at age of 16. I am 42 now, damn how time goes by
i’m 15 almost 16 and green day also got me through my first breakup, kinda find that ironic tbh
I actually first heard Green Day when I was 6 or 7 on my brother's Cassette Tape of Dookie

I was 17 at this concert, and I still live here in saugerties

Greatest summer ever
Bless you
I was nine! Soundtrack of my childhood!
My entire childhood is owed to Green Day and I’ll always stand by that

I got this album on tape from a buddy on my 8th bday on my way to a Toronto blue jays game

Fun fact: This performance is much shorter than the original song! Meaning their picking up speed! I love it!

Billie was higher than the quality of this video
LOL that amount of speed Billie Joe must have been taken, I almost thought the video was in 1.5 speed...
Am I just paranoid, or stoned? I most of the time answer both when I listen to this song.

Music today sucks. Those were concerts man; just fucking blasting youth energy.
I know nobody gives a crap, but that was recorded 8 days before I was born.
I was born 4 years after this. 1998 was kind of a miss for me, should've been '88; cos I really do prefer older music to anything else but then again I enjoy being a 2000's kid because then I got American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, which is in my top 3 albums of all time.
Hey I do! Because I was just thinking I was born almost 2 months before the concert. 6-27-94! Been rocking Green Day since I can remember things

You're right.
To be fair, I think this show - and the European Tour before Dookie - was the one that put Green Day on the spotlight.
This comment section is probably dead from the amount of 40 year olds
they're higher than the quality
Tony hawk?
jang dihapus green day
I hate this song but I can’t stop listening to it
You definitely don’t hate it then. Just accept it as a guilty pleasure
Well I posted this comment 8 months ago and things changed since then so now I like it
I was 5 when this happened. I asked my mom why they were fighting.
Billy Joe beating the shit out of his poor guitar strings. His style is so aggressive i really don't know how he holds onto that pick
wow they were high
Of meth and just Rockstar drugs, Mike might have been blazed lol
Speed.. :P they were on speed
and as always, he is stoned as fuck
Knight Gash they have to be at Woodstock, security requires them too.
I was thear 😎
The awkward moment when billie's hair is blue even though his band is Green Day
Tre makes up for it

Why did the audiences throw the mud to their show??
christiano ronaldo with blue hair
Do you have the time to listen to me whine
About nothing and everything all at once?
I am one of those
Melodramatic fools
Neurotic to the bone
No doubt about it
Sometimes I give myself the creeps
Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me
It all keeps adding up
I think I'm cracking up
Am I just paranoid?
Or am I just stoned?
I went to a shrink
To analyze my dreams
She says it's lack of sex that's bringing me down
I went to a whore
He said my life's a bore
So quit my whining 'cause it's bringing her down
Sometimes I give myself the creeps
Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me
It all keeps adding up
I think I'm cracking up
Am I just paranoid?
Huh yeah, yeah, yeah
(Ooh, ooh)
Grasping to control
So I better hold on
Sometimes I give myself the creeps
Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me
It all keeps adding up
I think I'm cracking up
Am I just paranoid?
Or am I just stoned?
