whats i don't understand about this story is Martian Manhunter is as powerful as superman that means his whole race was just as powerful. So how could they be killed so easily? Its not like they needed a different color sun to have powers, because earth is in the same solar system.. So I don't get it .. The Green Martians were killed by H'ronmeer's curse. It was released by Ma'alefa'ak, Martian Manhunter's brother. It's a psychic virus that made Martians believe they were being burned to death. It didn't effect Jon or his brother because Jon was teleported to Earth and Ma'alefa'ak had his telepathy forcibly sealed away due to previous transgressions. Also, the plague is also the cause of the Martian race's fear of fire.
Original Ravager was Deathstroke the Terminator's son, Grant Wilson, killed in books. The latter Ravager would be Slade Wilson's daughter, Rose Wilson.

J'onn was a Manhunter which are police for Martians. Not all Martians are as strong as J'onn was he was probably an apex predator by their standards
