    Why not make cardboard wings and a rubberband-powered propeller and fly it around the track? I bet you will get faster lap times.

      Fully embrace the parachute effect and add some wing gliding, I like it 😂

    I modified the body of my team associated sc pro2 and works awesome, I made vents on front, pillars, and back!

    The senton body posts front and back have 2 hole positions. Definitely drop to the lowest setting. The side of the body sits level with the chassis so will be perfect for 'racing' rather than bashing it.

    My SCt likes to catch air. I always felt the hood section is the air catch. Looks like you found a work around with inner fenders. Good Vid

    Aerodynamics 101 !!!
    Awesome Class dude...although before installing the inner fenders, you should try cut some slats on the body front wheel wells...to relieive (some) air pressure...IN THEORY.
    And then fine tune from there.
    The CoD (centre of Gravity) stays unaffected that way...
    Cheers mate.

    I found that if you cut out the front window triangles too and use plaster mesh tape shoe goo it in.allows for air to go through better.

    If you have a look at the Flo-Tek bodies, they also have vents ontop of the front fenders.

    Go to scorched RC they make a inner fender kit for this and others like Arrma Mojave also. Best Thing ever made I use it for my Arrma Infraction v2. And it’s keeping my car so much cleaner and aerodynamic too. You love it

    When the wind/air starts to move under the nose of the body, the body deforms(a little) and picks in even more air, I think. And is giving the extreme parachuting. Closing up the front is the way to go.

    • @jay82bob
      @jay82bob 2 года назад +1

      thats what he said :D

    • @scheers100
      @scheers100 2 года назад +2

      @@jay82bob if the body would be totally rigid (on the car)it would make the parachuting less extreme and more predictable. Ofcourse most of the solution against parachuting is closing up the front.(Like he said)

    Ran similar test, same rig, found it was more about throttle mgmt right before launch. Inner fenders would definitely be an improvement

  • @EmptyPocketsRacing

    It also has a lot to do with throttling off the lip of the jump.( Like he said as well driver input)

    How about yes cut the back vents out great idea I did that over a year ago and it stopped didn’t need to waste tape you’ll have to reapply every time you take it out. Love you exo but your 3 stooges moments are something else. 😂 ps I go through my body’s with hot glue and liquid electrical tape. The support points much like an interior cage that you can rip out if you ever need to this also helps with parachuting immensely.

    Tires rubbing on the body was putting you nose down with the tape.What i do with my prostar sct(horrible at parachuting bc of lightweight)is i cut the whole rear out of the tailgate and i jump eighth scale triples at big races.

      It's 100x worse on 2wd. NO gyro effect from the added front drive. JConcepts had a great idea, BUT all sct parachute 🤷‍♂️. & if racing (professionally) most mains are 10 to 12 minutes. GOTTA be able to do battery swaps as fast as possible. The 4wd sct's don't seem to 'chute AS much.
