What do you do to keep from blowing driveshafts? I’m stock system with new clutch at factory setting’s and I eat them and the cvd like candy. To the point I don’t run my armma anymore
Hey Mike. I've heard similar situations and feedback before. The first thing that comes to mind is an overly tight or faulty slipper assembly. I usually set mine 1/2 turn out from snug (which is tighter than the manual recommends) but have had great luck with it for years. Bad or failing bearings can also put crazy strain on the shafts just like large wheels or landing on throttle can, or heavy diff fluids. My guess is your slipper isn't slipping properly for whatever reason. I've seen springs lock up in the assembly among other weird instances. I should mention I'm using a metal spur (57T 4s slipper assembly) in this rig. I've had to disassemble a few of my slippers to troubleshoot stuff, but generally have good luck with my standard 3s slippers. I've also had to add threadlock on the adjustment screw to some of them that kept coming loose. Hope you get it sorted. It's super frustrating breaking the same parts repeatedly. 🍻

Super nice rig❤.. you've got this sorted. I ordered titanium hinge pins and holders, but am now wondering after watching you tag the big boulder.. if I have ti pins installed and hit that same way will my chassis crack instead of the pin giving out?
Thanks Brother 👊. It's tough to say if you run titanium holders and pins if the chassis would bear the brunt in a violent hit. A really bent stock pin can stress the chassis too. Most upgrades are worth trying so long as they don't add excessive weight 🍻
Amazing test on the M2C wheel adapters bro!💪Avery is on top of the game with his designs!😍Watching this truck never gets old! Nice work Rich. I don't understand why I see so many aftermarket options for Arrma 3S hubs when the stock Typhon 3S 17mm hubs are clearly the best, lightest, cheapest and most durable option. Maybe it's spacing.
Thanks Brother 🤗. I'm 100% happy with my stock Typhon 3s hexs paired with 1/2" offset rims. Still running the previous style solid F11 rims (17mm hex) with original Badlands 2.8 I glued on. This is another option for guys running the Senton, Granite, BRCC, or Vorteks when using the Raid style rims. Unfortunately, I think Proline is phasing out many of their older solid rim options. 🍻
Awesome bash Rich! 👌 The Senton is the toughest of the Arrma 3s line no doubt. Pity the 3s line just chew through parts quicker then a kid with a bag of sweets. Bash, wrench repeat! 🔧

Hello Rich. How you doing. I just need to ask please. Are those pro line tires belted or not? I'm completely rebuilding my arrma senton Mega and what I need is set of tip top tires. I got Louise set but they are to soft and ballooning too much. Thanks for your help.
Doing well my friend 🤗. These Badlands MX SC tires aren't belted, but I'm not seeing any major ballooning. The foams feel quite firm and the rubber thick. We'll see how they hold over time, but I'm loving them. 😎💪👊👊
Those adapters are nice!! Gtta love the Senton 3s!!..I broke my front skid before also and lost my hing pin brace..Good idea with the tape to hold in place
Thanks Brother 👊. I started putting Gorilla tape under the skid (on the chassis) up over the front plate because mine went flying off one day 😂. As simple as it is, it's actually worked. I finally mounted up a Tbone bumper right after this session. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Thanks Brother 🤗. Great choice of rigs 👍. This was out at Folsom Lake. Tons of space and terrain to rip around with the crazy low water levels. Very few visitors with almost zero boater traffic. There's also a nice gravel mound area behind Walgreens off 12 Bridges and 65 area. Unfortunately, construction projects have eliminated some of the better local spots. 🍻

I'm super jealous you managed to run that 4s on stock driveshafts. I kill those so quickly on the big rock, but I've not taken an arm off yet in a crash. I did manage to mod the upgraded CVD axels from the outcast 4s which are slightly bigger than the uprated ones for the 3s stuff by shortening them and widening out the axel hubs with a dremel, so far they're proven pretty tough. My GPM steering blocks died, totally came in half where the inner bearing sits 😂 You have some really nice bash spots there man 👍
@@justinblackwell1617 yeah even on 3s I kill the basic driveshafts. The plastic diffs are rubbish and they should've shipped them with the cnc metal ones really.
Thanks Dan 🤗. Man that's Crazy about the GPM steering blocks 👀. I've had solid luck with mine for over 2 years. I sometimes blow a stock driveshaft at the U joint, but not often enough to bother upgrading. Same with the diffs. Only time I've had a problem was when the rear (front facing) input bearing had seized up. It allowed my gear to overheat. I've also broken one when I trashed a chassis in my Granite like 2 years ago. Haven't had any actual diff problems. Still running stock weight fluids and set my slippers 1/4-1/2 turn out from snug. I try not to run heavier wheels and keep the total rig weight down running compact size Lipos. 🍻
@@richduperbash2966 I reckon I might be running too heavy a weight fluid in my diffs (amongst other things, but I'm not sending it more than twenty/thirty feet and it's landing onto grass ), I'm going to go and swap it out for some 30k in the rear and see if that helps. Thanks man 👍
I've ran several of these Hobbystar 3050kv 3670 motors through the years without issue. You can run their 3674 2650kv for cooler temps on 4s, but I've never exceeded 150F with the 3050kv. Past 170F is generally harmful to the rotor laminations over time.
I run Hobbystar 5200mah 100c 4s packs in my Big Rock and Senton and 5000mah 100c 6s hardcase single packs in my Kraton 6s. They're available from RCJuice. 🤗
@@panchogames9470 I'm running a Hobbystar 4092 1730kv motor with Max6 ESC in my Kraton 6s. The electronics could handle 8s for short periods, but 6s is plenty fast enough and lighter than running 8s. I don't recommend 8s for the diff gears either.
✌🏻😎🏴Nice one dude 👍🏻 you never disappoint 👍🏻. What exactly do you do when you say “I’m going to fix this real quick” ? Do you put a new A arm on or do you do something else??
Thanks Brother 👊. I just swapped on a new arm. Fortunately, the shock was still straight, the shock rod end screw was pretty tweaked 😂. Couldn't see it on the GoPro, but that was a brutal impact. The only "fix" was replacing it 🍻😎💪👊👊
Do you strip spurs often and have issues with stock motor bearings. Had many issues on my brcc and seeing as senton is same platform should have same issues??? Thanks
Hey Steve 🤗. I upgraded to the steel 4s spur gear and slipper assembly. The front motor bearing is subjected to fine dust that gets trapped within the slipper assembly. The solution is dremeling a small relief slit in the chassis (like the 6s rigs have) where the spur gear sits. (See 3:45 of the video). This allows any debris to shoot right out instead of getting trapped and recirculated within the gear box. Been doing this simple mod for years now.... it works awesome. 🍻
@@richduperbash2966 Cheers. I ended up doing slit mod on my big rock and it solved the problem. Just running stock Pinion and Steel spur also. Just checking as the Sentons I've seen generally haven't had the slit mod. I also got the upgraded metal motor mount as the stock one is subject to bending too. From Custom RC Upgrades I think but I'm UK. Great spot for the bash. Have nothing like that in the UK. :/
hello bro ... could you give me the link to the m2c raid hex adapter? Thank you my friend 🤗. This adapter is a prototype still in testing phase 👍. All M2C parts have to undergo rigorous testing before release to production and hitting the website. Hopefully won't be too long. I'm very impressed with them thus far 👀. I'm running the 4s steel 57T spur assembly. Might try adding threadlock to your slipper adjustment screw if it's coming loose. Here's one easier way to do it.😎💪👊👊ruclips.net/video/g7HHxXzF-VQ/видео.html

I'm having a hard time with tires on mine it just eats them no matter what surface I run on they last about three battery packs before they're bald and rip apart, I only have this problem on the Senton, wth am I doing wrong??
The sound is hilarious 😂. I'm not sure what's up with your tires, but the stock ones do tend to wear out quickly. I wouldn't say you're doing anything wrong, just having fun. Might experiment with some other brand treads. 🍻😎💪👊👊
I'm running a 20T with my 3670 3050kv. Assuming your mesh and bearings are all good, might have to drop a tooth or 2 depending on your wheels. I'm fine with up to 150F motor for peak temps. That's still safe. 🍻
@@richduperbash2966 running the mx28 belted badlands, and I replaced the bearings. Mesh is fixed on the Integy motor mount so it's perfect. Was seeing Temps around 190-200 on the motor, want to stay under 180 of course. I'll Try a 15T and see how it goes. Thanks for the info!
Most prototype parts go into production immediately after testing provided no alterations or tweaks are required. Best guess is 3+ weeks before they hit the website, but I'm not certain. Could be sooner depending on M2C's CNC machine schedule. They're making tons of other parts too. 🍻

Thanks so much my friend 🤗. ARRMA has definitely shown me some love through the years 👍. They appreciate the support and I love their vision, core values, and philosophy about progression . It's a mutual respect relationship. They're very receptive to basher feedback which helps everyone in the end. Not many RC companies seek out feedback like they do. 🍻😎💪👊👊
No I don't. I just pay close attention to my bearing health. The rear input bearings (front one especially) tend to gunk up with dirt and moisture fairly easily. I remove the motor/slipper assembly and spin each wheel by hand. If the input gear doesn't spin freely, I service or replace the input bearings. I also check my slipper bearings routinely and keep my slipper set 1/4-1/2 turn out from snug. 👍
Probably going to see multiple hex options with different offsets is my guess. M2C is happy to use their skills and creative genius to meet basher's requests. 🤗
I think this channel is bias about arrma products “every rig is really great” lol, just clown in’!!! they do make awesome products!! I’m so tired of the 2-4wd slashes after owning them for yrs, that’s why I bought a sct410.3. it’s nice to have something like this for an option. Idk about the pin drive over hex? I’ve had some bad luck in the past with pin drive. Wonder why they chose that? It obviously seems to be working cause this vid sold me on the 3s senton!!! Do you know if you can mount proline or jconcepts bodies in the senton? Awesome vid this thing is definitely impressive!!🤩🤩👍🏼
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. I do love my ARRMA's 😍. Have great local parts support and for Tekno parts as well. This direct fit wheel adapter was Avery's creation. ARRMA went with a 14mm metal hex for their 3s line which kinda limits the wheel options without changing the hex size or using an adapter of some sort. So far the axels and pins have held up great with this setup 👍. Just have to be mindful not to lose the pins when pulling the wheels. M2C Racing already designed a 3s direct fit 17mm hex adapter (at my request) which works Fantastic with standard solid hex rims 👌. Surely we'll see more M2C options specific to the Proline Raid style rims soon. I've seen guys run Proline bodies on the Senton 3s. You could probably fit up about any JConcepts body provided it had a similar wheelbase and width. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks Brother 👊. I had serious doubts myself 3 years ago. Really wasn't interested. That changed after driving this rig bone stock. It grew on me and just got better with basic tuning, wheel swap, and suspension upgrade. 🍻

I love seeing videos on the 3s rigs especially for those that can't afford the more expensive 6-8s rigs. I love my wifes 3s senton! It definitely takes a beating!
Thanks Justin 🤗. The 3s rigs are an incredible value, especially for their durability and performance potential 😍. Bottom line . .. they're super fun to rip around, easily as fun as the 6 or 8s line, and don't cost nearly as much time or money to own and maintain. Appreciate your comment Brother 🍻
Killer session dear brother Rich, the Senton looks dualed as few, the ramp sessio was in its own league 👀🥰🥰...the Hex adapters looks AMAZING 🥰
Thank you so much dear Brother 😍. I honestly think the Senton takes more punishment than any of my rigs 👀. Such a joy to rip around, especially on 4s. Loving these new SC tires 😍. Hats off to Avery for another brilliant design with these hex adapters 👌👌😎💪👊👊

Thanks so much Brother Mike 😜. This rig is a complete hoot to bash. Props to M2C for another innovative design and hex option!!!! 😎💪👊👊
Hi Rich brother 👍 I think your the only one who can jump a Senton like that 😱 awesome upgrades and love the wheels 🥰 really enjoyed every minute of this Bashing season brother 👍😎😁👍
Thanks so much Tony 😜. Definitely an adventure hittingl bigger jumps with the Senton 😱. Never know what'll happen depending on the wind. Props to Avery with M2C for another awesome 7075 upgrade option. Hope all is well without too much rain there Brother 🤗🍻😎💪👊👊
Great adapter option and sweet bashing brother

Nice video and test my friend, the 3s Senton is a great truck for sure 😎👍
Thank you dear Brother 🤗. The Senton is such pure fun 😍. Wanted to take here to the skatepark again, but ran out of time. Definitely taking her back next outing 🍻😎💪👊👊
“Alright guys enough gibberish and babbling..” but Rich dude your gibberish and babbling is so valuable to those of us taking the shortcut to these ruggedized beasts and saving coin along the way thanks to you sharing your knowledge and experience gained over the years. Thank you brother 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
M2C should totally do some Raid 17mm aluminium adapters too, providing they aren't as expensive - the PL ones are WAY overpriced!
Yes and yes 😱. That was actually my initial thought and request with M2C 👍. It's only a matter of time I believe 😎💪👊👊
You have so much control on 4s!! I love the whole 3s lineup they are all fun in a different way!! 💯💯 You make amazing videos that inspire people in the rc community!! I can say that you have inspired me to build a ramp and start sending it!!!! Hope your back gets better so you can keep making great content!! 💯👏🔥💯👍
Awesome bash!!! I love the 3s line! you really put the beatdown on that one!! Incredible front flip at 6:45!! thanks for posting and abusing the parts!
Thanks so much Brother Avery 😜. The 3s line is so capable and such pure RC FUN 😍. You friggin nailed it with this innovative design my friend. Love the offset and so easy to mount up 👌. The looks factor is off the charts too 😱. Function and insane durability aside, I could see the crawler crowd wanting these for the scale appearance. They're absolutely gorgeous!!!! Thanks so much Brother Aaron 😜!!!! These "MX" version SC Badlands are frigging awesome 😱. The size, weight, and offset feel perfect with the M2C prototype adapters 👌. Totally changed the handling and overall stability. Big props to Avery for another sweet design. 🍻😎💪👊👊
I’m glad to you are able to be out there ripping it up without the smoky haze that’s plaqued us all summer

I absolutely love my senton, it was super dope seeing it hit the ramp doing a wheelie 7:00 🤟🤟
Thank you Brother 🤗. Love my Senton too. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Brother 😜. I absolutely love this rig 😍. Parts are fairly cheap and easy to replace. I threw in the towel and dropped on a Tbone Senton front bumper for next time 😂
Do you have a video showing the angle of the ramp?
As it seems to give you very good hight and distance on the jumps.

@@richduperbash2966 I know how much hard work goes into what they do as I use the same machines as they do at work but I work with plastic not aluminium
My GPM steering blocks died, totally came in half where the inner bearing sits 😂
You have some really nice bash spots there man 👍
Same with my typhon3. On 4s I kill shafts. I just killed my rear diff yesterday

Very old video but how are you running that motor on 4S I have it on 3s in the same car and even with a 19 tooth pinion gets pretty toasty with fans
I've ran several of these Hobbystar 3050kv 3670 motors through the years without issue. You can run their 3674 2650kv for cooler temps on 4s, but I've never exceeded 150F with the 3050kv. Past 170F is generally harmful to the rotor laminations over time.
Awesome run, and love the idea, just hopefully the nut will stay tight, killer bash, now you have me wanting to fix my 3s senton, needs shocks

What exactly do you do when you say “I’m going to fix this real quick” ? Do you put a new A arm on or do you do something else??

Great video bro! 👍 Just made me wana fix my upgraded senton n get it rippen.
Thanks Brother 😜. Hope you get yours out for a rip soon!!!! 😎💪👊👊

I've been trying to run my granite on 4S with the hobbystar 3670 2280kV, but with a 19T the temps are too high. You running stock 15T in this?
I'm running a 20T with my 3670 3050kv. Assuming your mesh and bearings are all good, might have to drop a tooth or 2 depending on your wheels. I'm fine with up to 150F motor for peak temps. That's still safe. 🍻
@@richduperbash2966 running the mx28 belted badlands, and I replaced the bearings. Mesh is fixed on the Integy motor mount so it's perfect. Was seeing Temps around 190-200 on the motor, want to stay under 180 of course. I'll Try a 15T and see how it goes. Thanks for the info!

Do you have any issues with the rear diffs pushing it at that speed?

That's certainly possible 🤔. I'll mention it to Mitch and Avery 🍻
Great rigs
That car makes sometime grindy noises, you make it scream :-)
Thank you my friend 🤗. I was getting some body rub with the tires, just not enough to slow her down 🍻

I just don’t like any of the 3s lineup. Idk. Just not my style. But great video bro.

I wanted these exact tyres for my sct 410 for ages and they are never in stock for 2 years :( proline suck.
That does suck 😔. Are you sure they weren't the the original Badlands SC 🤔. These beefier SC "MX" style were released last April I believe.
@@richduperbash2966 the were the proline badlands MX SC 2.2/3.0. They were not the raid wheels though but the previous style wheels with 12mm hex
Would this slightly widen the wheel base of the big rock? Great video as always dude🤟
Thanks Kevin 🤗. Yes indeed, these adapters have a great offset compared to stock. Definitely adds overall stability. Much harder to roll with hard turns. 🍻
