    After nearly 6 months of watching yt on kit and RTR rc cars. It was the Arrma Mojave 4S that caught my eye and convinced me that I needed one after 30 years of last touching an RC car. I'm totally blown away at how much fun and capable this machine is. I highly recommend to get the Mojave 4S Gavin. It addresses all the gripes you had with the body not having any bash guards and the 17mm wheel lugs and overall a much bigger upgrade over this 3S.

    These things are amazing. The only car I've liked so much I bought two. I love how most of the parts are interchangeable between models. For about £150 I bought all the parts needed to convert the senton to a big rock. Takes a little bit of wrenching but I'm a tamiya kit guy at heart and it means I get the rtr bashability with the build element thrown in too. I also got the 2wd granite boost which I upgraded to 4wd for £200 all in then the motor module and esc from the senton slots straight in in seconds so no need to buy extra motors etc unless you want to race them together.

    I bought two last year...one for my son and one for me. I put the gyro receiver in mine and wow...what a difference in control. These are one of the toughest, economical bashers. Only expense has been new tires. That's the only weakness I've found with the Senton

    Happy New Year Gav & everyone at RCKICKS! Here's to 2024! I love all the Vintage Tamiya stuff on your channel, and also the modern 1/10 Racing!
    But not much of a basher :(
    If I made any personal requests for the channel in 2024, it would be for more 1/10 Racing Videos, always good to see you at South Cambs, -also be good to see you at Indoor Raceway Stevenage -loads of class options; Stotfold Model Car Club is an awesome place to race 2wd & 4wd Outdoors, great people and seriously challenging track, then obviously Herts nitro model club- great 1/10 track, also HRRC in Ware for pro touring cars! Also hearing rumours that Sean at SC Models is starting a new outdoor club towards Buntingford that could also run a vintage off- road class! Sorry for the Waffle but it'd be good to see some of these on the channel this coming year- all the Best! :)

      Happy New Year. I will be adding more content from all aspects of RC in 2024, so you will see more RTR, bashing, racing, building, shelf queen, restorations and modifications. Really RTR RC content is the most popular on RUclips focusing on the more on the budget end, but I want to balance it out as best as I can to keep the builds on the channel.

    I absolutely love my Senton Mega, although it's now running a 4000kv Hobbywing Max10 SCT system, as the stock motor siezed!! Ive also fitted some huge wide aftermarket wheels and tyres, sone huge big bore metal coilovers, and 'monstered' it, but i absolutely agree about the parachuting!! Ive fitted roof rails to protect that, but having an internal cage, like the Zorro, might help?
    Thank you for a great years worth of content. Wishing you and yours a peaceful and prosperous New Year, Gav. 🙂👍🏻

    @canuckchuck8836 7 месяцев назад +2

    I really like the Arrma 3s platform. With a few parts you can convert any of the variants; Typhon, Senton, long wheelbase Granite / Big Rock, Vendetta... The Boost / Mega ranges need driveline parts to go to brushless. 4s is also an option with the appropriate ESC and stronger motor mount/chassis brace like the one M2C makes. I found a longer can motor would bend the stock aluminum mount.
    There was a company that used to make an alternative front shield for the Senton but unfortunately, they went out of business a year or so ago.

    I blew my rear tyre on its first run too, put the 12mm hexes on and proline tyres and rims, the alloy hexes split and the hexes wore out very fast and was a $125pound upgrade that lasted 5 battery packs, too much power for 12mm hexes, put vorteks rims on it with the stock 14mm hexes and its been bulletproof for a yr, you need to cut the arches, lower the body posts 1 hole all the way round to let the body sit on the front bumper and stiffens it up a lot, body lasted 25 runs and cheap to get another from Jennysrc, thats my advise, they are so strong, bar a couple of bent front shock shafts and 1 rear arm when i backed it into a curb going full noise its been a joy to own.

    I respectfully disagree. I really do like the Senton. But it actually takes finesse to drive well. The stock suspension actually sucks for running on a course. It tends to sail on jumps, and there’s no maneuverability in the air. Just look at how high you had to send it just to get a single back flip. And that nose just won’t come down no matter how hard you slam on the breaks. It takes a lot of experience to drive well.
    Now take the Granite. At the heights you send it in the video a decent basher driver could easily do a double if not triple flip. A Granite will easily do a backflip off of a normal course jump! And it’s extremely responsive in the air. No problem twisting or bringing the nose down. And when the tires balloon they won’t get popped as they will with a Senton body.
    If someone is looking for a basher, beginner or other, go with the Granite.

    I’ve got both a Slash and a Senton. I’ve heard that the Senton is more durable, but I’ve had more breaks with the Senton. My biggest gripe is that, in the lot that I run in, there are lot of pea sized stones. When one of these stone gets scooped up in the front of the chassis, it gets jammed in the steering servo arm and all the sudden you can’t steer. I’ve never had that problem with the Slash and I have been zoofing around longer with it.
