After that u just need to open-link that folder wher is rom. So u need like 30-60 min. for all that. U can buy joystick-controler and play games with that. Im using an ps4 joystick, wirelessly. You can play it on your phone also (idk if that work on ios, but work perfect on android). If you have any questions, ask. Btw. u can found ROMs on internet, pozdrav.

There is lasers with shorter cables for the PSOne models. You want the ones for PS1, they have longer cables. Check the description from where your buying it. I don't think it matters if your console is Pal or NTSC-U, the laser doesn't care for that info. Check the item listing.

Compatible models with extension cable and modification:
SCPH-1001
SCPH-5001
SCPH-7501
SCPH-9001
It seems that if you use a PSOne laser lens replacement and want to use it on a older model it needs an extension cable. Hope it helps.
@@AdamUPN0w hi
And thanks for the help.
Seems I have an odd one not on your list
SCPH 102.
@@simonmesure6863 Double check online to make sure.
My ps1 spins the disc for three seconds and it stops what could be the problem
Me too
Why does my ps1 scratch disc when it spins them I just replaced the disc laser but when I cut it on when it tries to play I hear the disc scratching inside the ps1 anyone know why
It could be the disc touching the PS1 body or the laser lens is sticking up too much and touching the disc.
what would cause wobbly ps1 cds ?
Have you looked at the 3 steel balls that hold the disc down when spinning is there still?
@@AdamUPN0w yeah i got my ps1 taken apart right now trying to diagnose it. yeah its got the 3 steel balls. if i put the ps1 on the side, the rattling stops
the disc kinda wobbles and because of that starts to rattle. its got all the rubber vibration pads and stuff too. any ideas?
Maybe it doesn't sit well horizontally so it creates a wobble when it spins. Not sure.
Was your ps1 not reading any disks? Im having a similar problem, some games won't go any further then the ps1 start up screen and some will play fine, also I've found for some games whenever there is a loading screen it freezes, at first I thought there was something wrong with my games
It wasn't reading any discs. Have you tried flipping the system upside down and playing it that way? I've heard it works.
@@AdamUPN0w yeah I did it didn't do anything, its odd how only some games work
Having the same issue, it will read some games but for some reasons it won’t read the others. I don’t know if it is fixable
hello there,i am having a problem with my ps1 scph 7502,old laser is broken and now replaced with a new one and it didn't read disks, and it is stuck in Ps1 boot screen,no matter what laser i put it always stuck in boot screen, any idea how to fix it.it used to work before but now i think the motherboard is fauly.thanks
I don't think I can be of much help if your motherboard is faulty.
Are u sure that your disc is working (isn't broken - scratched )?
If u can't fix your ps1 but have working disc u can still play it on PC.
So first download ps1 emulator (I'm using ePSXe, it's free and work great), then make game disc image-rom (video here: ruclips.net/video/HuXi5dsZQ1Y/видео.html). After that u just need to open-link that folder wher is rom. So u need like 30-60 min. for all that.
U can buy joystick-controler and play games with that. Im using an ps4 joystick,
wirelessly.
You can play it on your phone also (idk if that work on ios, but work perfect on android).
If you have any questions, ask.
Btw. u can found ROMs on internet, pozdrav.
Dose it matter what laser I get or will I have to get the right one for my ps1. I have a big fat pal ps1 that don’t seam to even spin as it is. Other then that it looks like everything else works but I won’t know till I can try to play a game on it.
There is lasers with shorter cables for the PSOne models. You want the ones for PS1, they have longer cables. Check the description from where your buying it.
I don't think it matters if your console is Pal or NTSC-U, the laser doesn't care for that info. Check the item listing.
Sweet thank you 🙏.
I really need some help, can I get in contact with you through gmail, or discord?
at that point just get a new one
People could if they really wanted. Maybe they have nostalgia towards that particular system they grew up with.
Anyone else just fix most of em after several wipes of alcohol and qutip, just me.. Ok
That's what I try first. I hope most of the time that's the fix.
@@AdamUPNow I fix em all the time and that's always the issues 80% of the time, and some times the smallest spec of lint and residue will blind the lens so if it doesn't work the first time, I'll try a few more times, it's only a very few I couldn't fix this way
You should of named this video, "how to replace the PlayStation lense module"
You're not "fixing" the PlayStation, you're replacing the part. Fixing means correcting the voltage on the original part.😒
Just buy another PS1, if you go on ebay and buy just the console by itself it can be had for 30-40 bucks. same cost as the drive.
It depends on where it's sold. I got the lens for around $14 at that time on Ebay.
or mod your dead ps1 with a xstation, if it's the compatible model (1001, 5001, 5501, 7001 with PU-18 motherboard). you can play games off an sd card which is better than that flaky old laser, it's a bit pricey though and it can be a bitch to install if you don't have any or little of soldering knowledge.
And that 30-40 bucks is like 300-400 in my country's currency.
@@pentiummmx2294 yeah, but people like to collect games and play them via disc.
I have this PS1 model but my controller port isn't sensing them being plugged in. I looked and no cables seem to be lose or burned, would you know any fix? Thank you.
Try cleaning with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab. Try another controller if you have another.
@@AdamUPN0w I've tried two controllers and both don't connect, ok I shall try that. Thank you very much for your reply
Clean it when the power is off and unplugged. Rub it in the port and let it dry.
