    You saved my life. I couldn't get the pillow to stay closed. I had to finish two pillows for a party tomorrow. Your instructions helped me get them finished quick. Thank you.

    New to sewing. What foot? And what stitch? A straight line or zigzag? Thanks!

    Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and technique!! I know zero about sewing, but decided to try by recovering a pillow. This was just what I needed for my project!

    Thank you! Decades ago I sewed all the time. You are helping me regain my skills through your great tutorials. Please show us how to make an envelope closing and also, please give us your thoughts on selecting the best kind of backing for our pillow covers. You are doing a great job here!

    You explain things so Clearly to Understand and in the beginning I was confused as to why you Ironed the Flap.. Not sure what it called.. but in the end I understood.. 1 it made a cleaner line to match to other side and 2 made it easier to identify a good place to pin and hold Pillow.. I know I need to continue working on my lines as you suggested before starting my Pillow.. But I am getting better.. Thank You..

      So glad it made sense after a second view! The flap is called a "seam allowance". Keep at it - you're doing great, and practice makes perfect :)

    Yes!! Pushing the pillow insert in 2” & pinning it back made all the difference! Thank you 😊 What kind of iron do you use… & would you recommend it to your viewers?

    I love the measuring/cutting method to avoid the “dog ears”. Any video/suggestions on putting in a zipper closure? Does the slight curvature of seam line make it more difficult? I’m thinking a full length zipper.

    • @ASquarePillowIsntSquare
      @ASquarePillowIsntSquare  Год назад

      I made a video on how to install an invisible zipper. Look for it on my channel! And yes you can follow the curve when you put in the zipper :)

    Hello I did find this video informative but im wanting know do I need to use a different foot to sew a closure for a pillow?!... or can I just use a standard foot.. im wanting to sew a decorative pillow back that's already been sewn just the thread has come out

    • @ASquarePillowIsntSquare
      @ASquarePillowIsntSquare  3 года назад +3

      If it’s a plain edge pillow (no cord or trim) a standard foot works great. If there is cord trim trim I’ll usually use a zipper foot :)

      You certainly can do that! This video is just to show a way to machine sew it closed without having to wrestle with it too much. Machine sewing is simply faster, easier, and can be stronger as well.
