    The appointment schedule clutters my primary calendar. Is there a way to create it in a secondary calendar which I may select/deselect to make visible?

      Hey Raj - it will only go on your primary calendar (as of right now). Honestly - I thought the same thing when I started using it... and then I got used to it. I'd definitely share your feedback with Google! Thanks for watching!

      Hi Raj,
      Consider viewing your calendars separately instead of using the overlay option. I manage my work calendar, primary calendar, and ministry calendar by selecting which one I would like to view. Sounds like a lot of trouble, but it's great for what I do, and the price is right. 😊

    Thank you for the video! Do you know if you are able to connect multiple Google Workspace calendars (i.e. your different businesses) so that you don’t get double booked anywhere? For example, Business A you have a 10am appointment, and Now Business B doesn’t have 10am available.

    • @TheSmarterCreative

      So long as you can see your calendars on the same login, YES!
      What I do is invite my other emails to be a collaborator with each other's calendars (using the Sharing Setting on each calendar label) and then when creating the appointment you can say which calendars you want the appointment to check availability for.
      It gets annoying on your phone because you'll have duplicates of each of the calendars since you're typically logged into everything - but I go thru and hide them, so I'm only seeing one of each calendar on my mobile calendar.

    This was super helpful. Is there a way to connect an intake document that will be emailed out once they book the appointment link in Calendly?

    • @TheSmarterCreative
      @TheSmarterCreative  Год назад +1

      Hey! I would create the intake document (probably a google form) and link it to a template - then, when you get an email confirmation, you can use your filter settings in gmail to automatically mail them the intake! This is a great idea, and I'll probably work on getting a tutorial out about it in the next couple of weeks!

    Thank you for this video. Ok, you answered my question @4:50... You use Calendly for payment processing. Longtime user of Acuity and their annual fee has increased to an amount that doesn't reflect their appreciation for my loyalty. Surprised Google hasn't figured out a way to make this a one stop shop for entrepreneurs. They're leaving money on the table by not be a competitor of acuity and calendly. If GSuite added a payment processor, would change the game. Cheers

    many thanks, my wife is a doctor and I developed a track system with MS Excel, the system runs perfectly except for appointment pages and I want to migrate appointments from Excel to Google Calendar. She has a 6usd/per-user option for Google Workspace. What I want is to create 2 custom fields to be used for the patient's name and the reason for treatment and they also be selectable via a combo box using an Excel file as a source and also updating the same Excel file with the new bookings. Excel file could be a Google Sheets file as well

    Is there a setting that will force times booked on my calendar (not using the appointment schedule tool) not to show up on the appointment schedule as an available time? I have a lot of normal meetings that get emailed over that gets put on my calendar when I accept them. I also manage other calendars for my team and family that are all inside my google calendar. Calendly allows multiple calendar connections and only offers available times when there is an open spot across all calendars. That is what I need, and I can't figure it out with Google Schedules?

    • @TheSmarterCreative
      @TheSmarterCreative  Год назад

      Hey Wade - When you get a calendar request from someone else + it sets you as busy on your calendar, the Appointment Scheduling will not allow booking overlap so long as it's watching that calendar for conflicts. (Unless you are NOT wanting those to have conflicts - in which case, you want to mark your availability for those meetings as "Available" or "Not busy")
      If you share your personal calendars / team calendars with your business/professional calendar - you can tell your Appointment Scheduler what calendars to look for with conflicts. So lets say you have an eye on a team members cal for tracking, but that doesn't indicate YOUR availability, then you wouldn't have the scheduler watch that cal - but if your family calendar are shared appointments that you will be attending - you would have the scheduler watch that calendar for conflicts.
      The setting is called "Calendars Checked for Availability"

    Hello, Lauren! This is super informative and helpful. Thank you for sharing. I’m wondering if this tool feature allows you to create a meeting where you invite multiple people and it’s meant to have invitees select multiple available options for date/time slots and then once everyone selects, G-Calendar will sort of provide the date that all invitees are available via their selection and the meeting is then booked via everyone’s schedule aligning best off their selections. If this isn’t a feature, do you have an recommendations for something like this? So far I came across Doodle…?

    • @TheSmarterCreative
      @TheSmarterCreative  Год назад +2

      Hey!! I don't believe that is a feature with Google Appointment Scheduling, definitely more of a 1-to-1 booking. Sounds like a group poll from Doodle might be what you need!

    OMG! I was just looking for something like Calendly, and Square space to add to my website to book appointments for my business. I loved your tutorial about what is part of my Google Workspace. The only issue is how it looks attached to your website for clients to be able to make appointments. Thank you so much for this! I am going to look into this now.

      Yay! So glad it helped! And agreed, Google's native embeds lack serious design. I'd probably link out to the full-page booking link so as to not mess with my website aesthetic.

    How to change the calendar of an appointment schedule I created. Let's say from calander A to calander B.
    My main (1st top) calander is my personal calander. Below it I have my work calander. Google only creates appointment schedules from my personal calander. I can't create appointment schedule from my work calander (which is below my personal calander).
    Please help

      Hey Chandu - So it looks like it takes the default calendar as where the new appointments go, so if your personal calendar is the default it will put new appointments there.
      Here is what I found on changing default calendars: medium.com/calendar/how-do-i-change-my-default-calendar-in-google-calendar-91b7bf834583
