- One of Rocky Mountain Construction's early projects was a redo of the old Rattler coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. They added all new steel track, increased the height and speed, threw in an inversion to create an all new ride experience! Join us for a ride on this awesome hybrid coaster!

This is one of those rides where the front and back are completely different experiences. The front is fun and you get to feel the speed, but the back has some of the best airtime moments on a coaster.

The dive off the quarry wall in the summertime when it’s warmed up is actually insane. IR also has my favorite first drop on an RMC
Shows that even with as much terrain constraints as this ride had, you can still make an even better ride!

I'm weird, Road Runner was my favorite ride there hahaha. Rattler and Wonder Woman and Poltergeist are fantastic though. The Pirate dark ride was amazing too. Didn't get to ride Superman.

@@maxhagenauer24 I do. I really enjoy RMC coasters and pretty much all coasters. But I get a giddy, childlike sensation on family thrill coasters. And I just have more fun on them than intense thrill coasters. And I prefer that to intensity, generally. Especially when I can enjoy the ride with my little nephew or my mom and pops.
@jonny-b4954 As I don't agree that is better than intensity and forces, I will say Roadrunner is a very fun and underated mine train. It's probably the best one.

Just rode it a couple days before Christmas... Amazing ride. Second best coaster in San Antonio behind Texas Stringray.
My most ridden coaster, and my personal favorite. It's not quite the objective best in the country, but I haven't ridden anything that I enjoy more than Iron Rattler.

Just went today and rode first time. Back was serious airtime and front was like flying. A+
hi im going in a couple of weeks and I want to know if the seatbelts are really tight because I want to get on it but im a 99.5 pound 13 girl and im scared to get on because I dont want to fly off so are they tight
This is my second favorite ride at Fiesta Texas. My first favorite is Dr.Diabolicals cliffhanger and both are honestly really awesome!!
Iron Ratller nearly shirted Sarah 😱
I love how in the front, you reach your max speed on each valley when you are already going up the next hill because the train reaches its max speed when the center of the train is at the lowest point, not the front. If you watch front row POVs of rides with long trains, you might notice that and it looks really odd because it looks like you are speeding up as you are going uphill but it actually makes perfect sense.
The cureved drop this ride has is also present in Twisted Cyclone

It is so so good. I think Wonder Woman might have the slight edge but it's really close.
The only time I've been there, iron rattler was closed for just that weekend.... but still looks great

Coaster Studios please look at this. I have a family friend that personally knows the Herschund Family. Silver Dollar City has a lot in store. I found out that an on site resort will most likely happen. And sadly, a new major thrill ride will not happen within the next two years. But they plan to start looking at revitalizing older parts of the park. Wildfire has a potential makeover coming. Along with Powder Keg and Time Traveler possibly getting its theming fully finished! This is so exciting! I hope this was good info!

Planning our first trip to san antonio. Would you perfer this park or seaworld? We have been to the other seaworlds and our favorite is busch gardens tampa.

IDK, might be unpopular but, if they had one of those slow overbanks over the side of the cliff for a "stall" or sideways hang time moment over the cliff face. I think a lot of overbanks could use with a little less speed.
Surprised you went with the front row for the video. That said, it is still great in every seat.

Do you actually know how many seconds a RMC speeds up? I noticed that effect on Untamed at Walibi Holland, had been quite boring in the morning and a beast in the evening

Good Ride but overall Overrated, feels like an rmc dive coaster with the bad pacing. Best first drop tho.
