The biggest shred collab is absolutely stacked this year, I think it is probably the biggest one I’ve done to date, I can’t wait for you all to see it, there are so many amazing players partaking. Lwandile Prusant and Noah Crenshaw are my favourites! Both so unique. I love the unique flow Lwandile built and the whammy/killswitch integration on Noah was very musical

Lwandile is truly amazing, what an incredible solo!
My favorite by miles. They were all very good, and somewhat traditional -- his take and left hand finesse were incredible, fresh, and unique. The only solo I wanted to hear multiple times.

Yo no joke - Lwandile wrote the most tasteful and intricate riff I’ve heard yet. He stands out bc it’s not all shred. Which almost defeats the purpose of a shred comp 🤷🏻♂️
Lwandile is a different kind of guitar player. His approach is his own. Could be the next Tosin. All I can say is I would be pretty stoked if he was in my band. All of these guys are amazing though to be fair.

Lwandile Prusent is unique player. His skill is amazing and runs are so good. He deserves more recognition.
Everybody was just shredding, and he wrote a solo.
He’s not out there just mindlessly shredding but he’s doing something different which is noteworthy. It’s tasteful and extremely technical. What gets you noticed is standing out.
That said he probably stands out to people who really like mathrock/stuff like polyphia.
For real.. Lwandile was exceptional!
I got strong Animals as Leaders vibes from Lwandile's solo :D
I love that the Shred Collab has become a Christmas Classic, it really gives us something special to look forward to every year

All of these were insane, but Noah and Lwandile definitely stand out the most for me. Just excellent style.
Noah was outstanding
Lwandile had those sick Animals as Leaders vibes. Tramaine and Syndrone's playing is so fast and clean. Luke and Noah getting after that Berried Alive style. So many different styles, but everyone killed it.
Syndrone 100% Even a half of the solo would be enough to give you the vote. Keep on shredding dude!!! Insane melody. Every note can really be heard clearly.

the thing about his solos is that they are "very" Berried Alive sounding, but they still sound incredible

@@gh0stdem0n666 it's just the techniques I choose to use. Nobody really uses killswitch and trem except for charles, and it's a fun technique to incorporate into your playing. It's hard not to sound like someone when you're doing the thing they're primarily known for.

I was rooting for Luke and Oni since I've seen their applications for the first time and I'm so happy they made it here!
But also, I didn't really enjoy previous Syndrone solo, but this one, especially the second half, literally just made my day - it instantly gave me some oldschool console game vibe! Like, some jrpg game battle theme or something like that. I'm so impressed!

Props to all who entered! This was a tough decision for me. Especially the #3 spot. Cause everyone had their own strengths. I could probably reduce to a top 5 but top 3 is more challenging and fun haha. #1 spot still feels a bit clear winner here for me. Though a LOT closer this time around. Glad you are going to include all of them!
We have a same list, but i have to put lwandie in the first place. Its so unique and different to others, so refreshing
@@paulgilbert3139 yeah it was a close second for sure, but still something about Tramaine that stands out for me with his style and technical ability. I can totally see how some people would put Lwandile first though. almost preference of style in a way.

Oni Hasan was the only one who used Major Key in his performance, which was kinda refreshing amongst tons of harmonic minor tapping, arpeggios, roller coaster, tumany notes guitar awesomeness. Kudos to all 10 dudes. Looking forward for new shred collab and thank you Jared for making this possible. I just wish i had courage to submit my video, well maybe next year.
yes, but Oni was one of the only ones that used a premade backing track everyone else wrote their parts, which was part of this part of the competition. To showcase your compositional skills.

My vote goes to Luke Jeansonne, the way he plays around with the whole tone scale tapping around it, is very impressive, and i would say is the most unique, honorable mention to Lwandile i love his tone and the hooks on his solo are memorable.
And the same goes for Noah Crenshaw, yes he's very skilled but if you check Berried alive and Charles Caswell it sounds like the same guy is playing even the guitar tone identically the same.

All I know is 4:07 Luke Jeansonne battled the final boss and won. Then 4:30 Noah Crenshaw played the victory redemption music.
Those two back to back was brilliant.

Luke and Noah absolutely killed it, both are extremely original compared to the others. Where the others did an amazing job at writing, Luke and Noah did an amazing job at being unique.

I agree but there was something about Seth as well.
I agree those two are mad and so unique. Others are good but they dont stand out, no memorable melodies and dont have strong structure
It seems that Noah is a big fan of BerriedAlive and Luke a big fan of Ring of Saturns XD,but ofc their solos sounds pretty good
@@HanshaUgu that's what I think. All guitar players obviously have their own sources of inspiration, and regardless of what they are, naturally, we'll find ways to incorporate the music and sounds we like into our own playing. Original is a really awkward term in my opinion because nothing is really truly original, because someone somewhere has probably already done it. No different than a guitarist using legato because they see their favorite guitarist doing it. It's just another technique to incorporate into their own sound.
Beautiful solos all around, giving the proper attention to melody. But, Syndrone's solo stands out to my ear. It's a musical masterpiece.

A little bummed out Oliver Christian didn't make it but very very happy to see the Lwandile and Noah make it. Hoping to see Giuseppe Gilardi, Joshua De La Victoria, and Joseph Anidjar on the full shred collab.
Im most impressed with Syndrone he plays complex stuff effortlessly. My 2nd pick would be Alon Tamir or maybe a close tie for first.

This top 10 is an amazing bunch, all are well deserving.🤘 I just want to say that varying styles make it really hard for Jared to pick the sole or top 3 winner because it's soo subjective to say "who is the best" because they are the best in their own chosen sound.👍 The much better thing to say is "Who is our Favorite". As a guitarist who still love "Boomer Bends" and good ole straight up Shredding. I will pick based on the style that sounds good TO ME. But that's highly subjective. as the saying goes "beauty is in the ear of the beholder", i mean listener. each to his own and opinions are like...nevermind😁

@@2good2betrue3 yeah haha I was aware from the beginning that only fans of tech death and aliencore would actually like this solo which is why I also try to incorporate melodic stuff into my playing as well, like I did in my first solo for the top 20 video. I know the melodic stuff will catch more peoples attention and the alien stuff is a nice fresh twist to add for all the fans of it so I like to keep a good balance between the 2 styles of playing. I thought doing something more atonal and dissonant for this solo would be cool since I already did something melodic for the last one. I wanted to do something different to show that I can do more than just 1 thing and I wanted to try and do something that would stand out more from everyone else’s solos. I think both solos came out great and I’m really glad you enjoyed it!
@@silversurfer2696 Yeah dude, so hard to pick, they are ALL amazing, actually dig them all. I just prefer the traditional balanced sounding shred music more than the modern sound.
"Traditional" means the standard sounding with less crazy modern alien core techniques such as Yngwie, Petrucci, Paul Gilbert, Nuno, Vai. etc
"Modern" is more like the use of mutes, Kill switch, whammy flutters, cascading out of nowheretapping, low key breakdowns and octave runs like Jason R, Polyphia, Lucas Mann, etc.
Oh yeah, love Corey's dark sounding theme, his solo is like a story🙂.
Broo it was really amazing. It felt like a war. Up to Noah it was like the enemies had the upper and then Oni Hasan's play was like a gist of hope. Lastly Syndrone's play was the final battle. Damnn.
Syndrone, then Lwan, then Seth. But my previous favourite was spiro dussias so I hope he gets a shot. I also liked Poh Hock

1. Syndrone's solo was awesome, and the later half of the solo gave me some avenged sevenfold vibes
2. Noah Crenshaw's solo was a djent masterpiece
