I am happy to report that the gap that appeared big in the review is actually very minimal. Camera angle I guess! This machine is well built and everything I could’ve hoped for. I used Stevie’s affiliate link and received 50 dollars off! Hope you are doing well brother.

Hack squats are great. I really like the "duck feet" stance as that version is more similar to the original exercise as performed by George Hackenschmidt. Hope your recovery is going well so far Stevie.
excellent overview, thanks. This updated version looks like a serious bit of equipment. I was gonna get the Powertec Leg Sled but this looks even better. For people reading this: On leg day what would you do first - Hack Squat or Leg Press?
I always start with squats on a leg day then move to leg press if one is available. Others may do a different workout. If you haven’t purchased and decide to, please use my link: www.forceusa.com/stevie
I honestly used to start with leg extensions to warm up- then move to whatever is free since I’ve been training in a commercial gym. My knees and back are all messed up and at 53yo I rarely squat. Ideally, I would go with the extensions to warm up for 3 sets, then 4 sets hacks, then 4 sets of presses, then 3 more sets of extensions to finish. I train my quads with biceps and hamstrings after my back on that day. 4 day split. Chest/calves, back/hams, shoulders/traps/tris, quads/his. Sick of the crowds at the gym as I need to go after work and it’s peak hours. Decided to put a home gym in my garage and this piece looks amazing. Wish I could find it even cheaper than 1k but that’s still a great price for this.
Man, I really like the new upgrades! This would be my first choice when I decide to buy one since the small footprint is my #1 priority, I'm thinking I'd need at least 400lbs of plates to go with it though
I agree. They did really add a lot to this version. I’m not sure of the total number of plates the sleeves can hold, but 400 pounds should be possible if you’re not loading bumper plates. If you purchase the compact leg press or anything else, please use my link: www.forceusa.com/stevie
hey im follow you in France ! and i want to buy this compact legs press with this 2 update options ! i hope i can found this in EUW ! thx for youre video
Still don't have the foot plate right for us tall guys. At 6'5" my toes have to hang off. Changing the angle of the foot plate to get your full foot on the plate feels awkward. There is wasted plate at the bottom of the machine, that is not being used. Why not have the plate start a few inches further out or add more plate at the toe end. Seems pretty easy fix.
It looks like even when your feet were at the top of the platform you were knees over toes. I'd like to find a machine that allowed the feet to be higher so that there is less pressure on my knees.
Looks like the gap between the back pad and seat pad is much wider than the gen 1 version. You think this will aggravate the lower back with a lot of weight loaded?
I am planning on buying this (europe), but they sell it as a Version 3, from looking at the video, it seems like this would be a version 2(?) What are updates from this video to V3?
Updates from what I have found: Better Pop Pins. Maybe more Stability for Back and Footpad, easier to move. 6 instead of 3 Lockout Points. Better Calf Block, with higher Position. From the paper it tells that the weight has improved by 7 Kilos. But I don't know why. Would be interesting if there were any Updates on the Roller System and the Range of Motion when using it for Hack Squat.
@@adk_2000 I am super interested in this. Its £1000 in the UK, so comparable to Powetec/ Bodysolid leg sleds, but this looks so much better with the hack squat. I want to see more reviews!
I currently have a v1 powertec version and I hate it as a leg press, so much back pain, and doesn’t go deep enough. Currently I can get this in uk for £820 delivered, seems like a no brainer. Think I’m gonna order
@adamwarner1422 ah yes it's excellent. To be able to do a proper hack squat. And at full depth. I found you can increase depth ( which is already much improved over powertec ) by installing some wooden spacers between the shoulder frame and the shoulder pads. I was able to get a further 6 inch's of depth. Butt pretty much hits the foot plate
@@NicksGotBeef ah brill. Thanks for the info. I’m close to ordering one. It’s just hard trying to find reviews from uk users. Where did you get yours from if I may ask?

I've read if your shorter (under 5'8") then you can't reach the hack squat shoulder pads without big time modifications such as adding pads of some sort to foot pad + shoulder pad area. Is this true? Thanks!
I’m not sure about the 5’8” threshold, but I know the company worked to redesign this version for shorter people. I’d contact them for absolute clarification on that. You don’t want to buy, ship and assemble this then it doesn’t work for you.
Yes it is. I’m not sure of the exact amount of angles, but I definitely sketch angles depending upon how my knees/hips feel. If you do decide to purchase, please use my link: www.forceusa.com/stevie
I couldn't find any info on the shipping method, is it in multiple boxes? A pallet? How much does it weigh? Its going to be delivered soon I just wanna know what I'm in for.
When mine was delivered, I had other products so it was a freight delivery. I believe the total weight of the boxes will still make it a freight delivery, but I’m not 100% sure. If you’re tracking number is a Pro Number or one that’s not UPS/Fedex, then it is coming via freight truck. Email support and make sure. You’ll need to make an appointment.
I can't find no other reviewer, so sorry for asking. But, how smooth is it on the hack squat setting? A comment on the Force USA listing page says that it loses smoothness when the pad is all the way back. Is there a fix for that? Maybe you know of a new version that addresses this? Thank you for your time!
I didn’t find any lack of smoothness at the angles I’ve tried. However, I did not use it at every available angle. As long as the track is clear and unobstructed, I would believe the movement would remain smooth. You can always call or email Force USA for clarification. @@StevieRichardsFitness Thank you for your hastily answer! Didn't expect that c: I will ask them, and use your link! I had to guess that at more vertical angles the centre of gravity shifts backs, since the pressure on the machine is no longer in the middle of the bearings/base of the seat, but in the shoulder pads. That puts more force on the bearing that is higher. Thus shifting the force, creating torque on the rails, and making it less even/smother. If the bearings where to be on a wider support, a half bearing that engages on the back seat, and/or with extreme tolerances, that would be fixed. I will ask them if such measures could be taken into account for a V3, hopefully.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I'm about to pull the trigger on compact leg press, I assume your an affiliate, how do I make sure you get credit for closing the deal with your review!
I don’t see an exact weight, but my guess is around 150-200 pounds. It is possible to move the unit- best with 2 or more people. However, if it’s on gym mats you could probably shuffle it to the new spot. Doing this on wood or tile will definitely damage the floor. If you do decide to purchase the compact leg press or anything else, please use my link: www.forceusa.com/stevie
Question: Is the 660lbs INCLUDING the person on the leg sled or is this the weight that can be put on the machine? So 660lbs plates only. This is not clear in any discription.
I received clarification from their product specialists that it is strictly the weight you add to the machine. If you do decide to purchase, please use my link: www.forceusa.com/stevie
