Additionally, you can also use power shell script and azure automation to schedule the single table refresh. Benefit of this is you can actually integrate it with ADF.
This is great, loved it, Power BI has lots of hidden talent :) I also want to see how we can automate the partition of Power BI tables through XMLA endpoint. Please Patrick
Hi Patrick. Thank you for the video :) Do you know whether we can run a XMLA script with PowerAutomate? The use case: we have a powerapps visual to enable users to comment data per row level. This data is stored in a SharepointList and is imported into PBI. I want to refresh the SharePointList through PowerAutomate and display the comments inside the PBI report.
Hello! Please tell me if you had a video on the topic of whether it is possible to send a Power BI report as a picture in the body of an email, and not as an attachment that you need to open manually. if not, can you tell me if this is possible?
Hello, very interesting video as usual ! For a full refresh of all the data model, would you recommend to use the scheduled refresh in power bi services (which as the delay around 10 min) or use our own script in xmla ? And how much faster do you think the refresh is using one option instead of the other ?
Will dependent tables get refreshed automatically? For example, say table B is defined with a DAX expression that involves table A. If I refresh table A with this method, will table B also get refreshed? Thanks!
Another great video. Thanks for sharing the hidden talent of Power BI. One question - Suppose we're using one dataset for two different reports, is there a way if we hit refresh in one report, other one also gets refreshed along with it?
Thanks for this video Patrick👍. Is there any way we can refresh single table in power bi when we use Snowflake as a source? I really needed this feature. Looking forward to hear from you..

Next Video could be about best practice to schedule that. In In the "old" world i used SQL Agent but this is not available with serverless databases neither with Synapse. Currently i am still fine with full dataset refresh but i know it is coming very soon that i will need sheduled process of partitions...
I guess you missed something Patrick. You CAN refresh a single table with Power Bi Pro license. In Power query right click on the query (Left side) Uncheck "Include in Report Refresh" this will disable refresh of that query/table. 🙌✌️
What about refreshing a single table in a Power BI Dataset if the data source of that single table is a Power BI Dataflow? Specifically when the Power BI Dataflow finishes running, I want that to trigger that single table it feeds in the Power BI Dataset to refresh?
Thanks for another awesome video. I tried to automate the single table refresh using a SQL Server Agent job with a SQL Server Analysis Server command but it's giving me authentication problems. I'm using the same credentials as when I connect in SSMS to run it manually. I guess this option doesn't work. Any ideas?
We recently have a new feature called async refresh. It's a new REST API that we could cancel refresh and refresh single table. Feel free to give it a try.
Q: I see this as essential if you're going to have one big semantic model/dataset, which I think you advocate Patrick? There's no way to manage table by table refreshing in power bi in the service. How would I manage doing the above when my "golden" semantic model starts getting big? (lots of facts, quite a few dimensions that all have different refresh requirements?)

Can you please provide link of any blog to achieve this
Hi,
Do you have power shell script for this?
Excellent, thank you!
Wish pro users had access to this 😪

Hi, I would like to do the same. Were you able to do this? if yes, could you please share with me? Thanks!
Hello, Did you resolve that?
No. Unfortunately not. Instead of refreshing we changed to a DirectQuery approach.
@@konstantinvolke4569 thanks for the reply. However, that's a bad news for me
Any news? I’m also interested!

Awesome Patrick, Guy in a Cube rocks.
Great video!
But what if I only want to refresh a table whose source is, say, an Excel file in SharePoint?

Love your intro video. Can you share who made this for you
Please tell me which screen recording software you use. Also which one for screen zoom in and out during recording

We don’t have Premium where I’m at, but this is great!!
Yeah options are limited without Premium or Premium per user.
What if your tables are separate datasets and you use direct (live) query, would be interesting what are the consequences of that setup
Same process and got success
You can automate it with azure logic apps as well!
how to get refresh date for perticular table
Q: but my question is. In this way we can do the refresh manually. How can I do schedule the refresh for a single table?
👍
If only I had premium lol
U look like will smith
First
👍
