I have never been a fan of pro play in Age of Mythology or Empires, but for the first time I have been enjoying these videos and these games a lot!! It makes me want to play ranked, even when i'm campaign only lol.
As long as you remember that no matter what rank you end up being (unless you’re top 100) you will always win or lose half the time, you can start to play in an expressive way - the same way you can be expressive in the campaign. But human players will express themselves too and that’s a really interesting thing to see and learn from.
I think it was a bad use of cease fire and bad forest fire . Magic said it himself , just because he’s on the top of the ladder doesn’t mean every move he makes was a good call.
I agree with FitzBro, the rear wood line would have been better. Damage on vills and buildings, opening up the rear of the base, and pushing the wood line to a more exposed position. But the use he got out of it wasn't bad either.
Ty Fitzbro for the great coverage. Your AOE4 coverage wasnt that good, but in AOM Retold you got an authentic twist in it and you manage to focus on important strategic details. Keep on going, I really enjoy watching it! A small tip for the sake of feedback: Try to focus more on peripheral map happenings, like raids, wallings, caravan builld up etc.
I don't get why people spam cavalry as Zeus. You have no bonuses for cavalry to speak of. Poseidon has cheaper stables, faster cavalry and trade units, and a tech that lets his cavalry regenerate and have more LOS. In Legacy his cavalry was cheaper too.
Seeing a 'pro' waste his early centaur's abilities is really cringe. By no means am I 'good' but manually aiming the centaur's ability would be way more optimal. It definitely seems like you can bait a whole group of centaur's into using their ability on nothing.
@@DajuSar Hence why you target it manually when they engage instead of at range. Keep centaurs in a separate group, have the cav engage. If the enemy engages at all, send the barrages. If they micro them away, they'll take damage as they disengage. Then just pull your troops back after and rinse and repeat. Keep the centaurs at arm's length. What I saw was the greek player sent the barrages at range, and the enemy just kept walking towards him. Wasting the ability and robbing himself of a solid engage tool. He didn't leverage the ability correctly. It is that simple.
@@gogeta667Then I wonder why are we not watching you play at the top of the leaderboard. Probably because while you micro the centaur ability you have 15 idle villagers and floating thousands of resources 😂
@@PuliDevYt At that early in the game I have sufficiently practiced build orders. It isn't hard to press 2, then q, then space left click, and then 1 space left click then back to the TC. less than two seconds of micro if you see the engagement. A 'pro' should be able to do it, no? It's interesting you're assuming I'm worse at the game when all I'm doing is pointing out flaws in the greek player's micro. Which are very tactical flaws, imo. You can disagree, but saying 'You're not as good' isn't an argument. That's an argument from authority and doesn't mean shit.

im a 1k ELO player in AOE2, just do it, you will get better if you play ranked. Its fun to play humans that are not as dumb as titan AI on skirmish.

I've been really enjoying seeing these early pro games. I can't wait to see how the game evolves over time
Me too, i'm really exited to see civs expansions and new classic civ gods. This game has a lot of potential

@@tokyobankai4031 great contribution. wow
These are the players I que against when I'm trying to do a chill quick play lmao. Also I'm bad
could you go over the relic on the map and who pick them up I feel you had time at the start of the game? I would appreciated
That title got me hard lmao. I guess when they have enough heads, we can call it Mass :P
Magic is probably the best at pulling back from what is seemingly a lost situation over and over.
how did the herdmen win against archers?
Didn't I hear that set was banned? Why not Odin?
MOAR!!!!!!!

Close game until the last engagement. Should always get the Pegasus upgrade with Hermes and patrol with it, missed out on some stranded villagers
You can't see which is water
luring deer is easy in AoM I learn luring in AoE2 those deer are the worst
prostagma
Godi are hydra hunters
nerf greeks

its not that simple, the other guy is not going to sit still and let the abilite demolish his population
