The 14-inch MacBook Pro is what I think most will upgrade to. This is the M1 Pro version of the new MacBook Pro and is the first step up from the base model. Are you going to be upgrading to a new MacBook Pro? Thanks for watching, it is always appreciated. Also, Apple released iOS 15.2 Beta 1...
Thank you Aaron. But in my country its the money. Every Apple product is so expensive that I could only dream of getting one. Anyways thank you so much for the reply.😁 love from sri lanka😇
Apple knew that they would get rid of the Touch Bar for years! They never patch the bugs of Touch Bar support on the M1 MacBook Pro. And now, no notch software distinction on the new MacBooks. Innovative Hardware….mediocre software support.
finally switched from Windows to Mac after using Windows for 13 years... oh god this laptop is a beast, it's focused on productivity. I am in love with user interface and professional use case.
@3:22 😂 as a 🇬🇧 that made me 😂 love it. 👍🏻 Brilliant video’s coming out from you. I really do look for yours first as well. I appreciate your honesty and opinions on all things really. Easy, clear explanations and the fact you read comments, polls and reply to those or mention us on your video’s is just superb. It’s great to feel included and listened to 👊🏻🙂 Keep em coming.
For my budget… that’s what I’m thinking. 14” 16GB 1 TB. I’ll be moving up from the previous gen with 8 GB and 256GB ssd. Amazingly my current Macbook Pro does great for 1080p video editing and some 4K editing. Waaaaaay better than my Toshiba I7 core Windows laptop. This new gen Macbook Pro is going to make my life so much easier.
Just a recommendation if you haven't bought your laptop till now. Go with the 512 gb version and if you require further storage then get an external SSD. This is help you in two ways. First that you will save a lot of cash because apple's storage upgrades are too expensive, and second is that you can use this SSD for other stuff like having video storage, or using it even after you replace the laptop in future. Just a piece of advise...
I didn’t realize the MacBook configuration I ordered was in the store. Thanks to this video I am now able to get my mac tomorrow morning instead of waiting until Nov 15th. Amazing!!!!!
I liked this video. I was actually considering exactly this model for myself. Although, the entry 16" version costs exactly the same, and only 200 USD more to get to 1TB, so to have everything equal + the bigger screen and sound. Still not decided :/
It all comes down to how much you value portability and the ability to use your laptop anywhere. I ended up getting the 14 after having a 2018 15 inch pro. I'm actually not too bothered with the smaller display size. Portability is something I value anyway since I have a desktop I favor at home.
Me spending $1300+ on a new iPhone every other year: "YES. Do it." Me spending $2500+ on a new Laptop every 5+ years: "NOOOOOO, I cant afford that!" on a serious note, I should retired my 2012 MacBook Pro for this beauty.
Thank you for your great comparison video. The one thing that I haven't seen anywhere is a comparison of the new 14 inch MacBook Pro Max to the 15 inch 2017-2019 Macbook Pro's, particularly the real world screen real estate.
i was also looking for the same comparision as I have the 2017 15 inch MBP. I want to check if the difference between them in real estate and overall size is minimal before I make a decision to switch to 14. I feel 16 will be too big.
This is the model i decided to purchase for i dont do anything too heavy that will strain the cpu and gpu. This is plenty enough for me. I have the base Mac Mini M1 and it has been a breeze already as is. This just makes my setup portable if needed. This is a great buy for 95% or more of folks unless you are a developer or a high end editor who absolutely needs the power of the higher end configurations.
I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED TO RECEIEVE, AND ULTIMATELY, UNBOX MY MBP 14 , 16GB 1tb by the end of this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i haven't been this excited for a purchase in many many years!
I have the 2018 MacBook Pro 13" is it worth upgrading to the 14"? Considering that I meanly use my laptop for university and editing 4K 60fps in Final Cut Pro?
Wow Congratulations Aron for your new unboxing MacBook Pro it’s very nice Thanks for sharing us with your nice Videos always I’m very happy and enjoying watching always your Videos Good Morning From Philippines 😊
so far the notch is not an issue at all viewing video content it blends right in and out the way. I am extremely happy with this purchase will be getting the 16 inch also to keep in the house as the 14 inch will be my portable when I am on the road. Ps I miss the Touch Bar
The redesigned MBA will stay 13 inches and it'll even be more expensive. It's smarter just to get the current m1 MBA. It's $900 with apple education pricing...
@@micahgoldson1253 design wise I mean. Even so, it came out last November so almost a year old, so I wouldn’t say it’s the best time to buy one unless you need a laptop now
Honestly my 2015 Mac air is kicking ass to this day. I’ll probably wait another two years or so and then take a look at this one . But as a software developer, I’m not sure what the need is for the insane power here , I guess mostly creatives?
I ordered a 14" with the same specs featured here, although with 32 GB ram. I have to wait until the first week in April for it to arrive so I'm in great anticipation. I'm still using my 2012 MacBook pro and while it still works pretty well, it recently took a bad fall which rendered the trackpad unclickable, tap to click works which how I'm using it currently, but boy is that annoying. Can't wait for the new one to arrive!
I'm buying the same spec as you with hopes I can use it for 6-8 years. 10c, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD. Trackpad is definitely one of the major reasons I picked a MacBook over a Windows PC.
I would love to see a base M1 Pro 14-inch on the channel Aaron! I currently own the infamous 5-inch 2018 i9 model (the one with thermal throttling issues), and whenever I open Lightroom, it becomes way too hot and I'm thinking of getting the new 14-inch to replace it. I'm fine with the smaller screen because it'll be easier to travel with, but I don't want to upgrade the CPU if I don't have to. I would rather put that money towards the storage upgrade and ditch external storage as my main storage. Keep up the great videos!
Aaron macbook air m1 or macbook pro this one? I feel macbook pro 14 inch is too heavy what do you think? I want something light which i can carry around easily.
I have the 2017 MacBook Pro but I badly want this, the slightly bigger screen really sells it to me as the perfect size and also the updated processor.
I’m going to upgrade my mid 2018 MBP and can’t decide on 14” or 16”. It will depend on the physical size for portability. Apart from the obvious answer, is the 14” screen noticeably smaller than the 15”? I would prefer the portability of the smaller form factor.
Same. I have 2018 MBP 15” and want to know how it compares to new 14”. The 13” M1 felt too small, so I held off. I’d like the portability of 14” as long as display doesn’t feel too cramped.
Even though there’s a notch, the mouse goes behind because the OS still respects the bounds of the display. Just think of it this way, there is screen there, it’s just cut out.
That’s probably the first time ever I’ve seen the pull tab not work lol How is your experience with it? I’m thinking about ditching my MacBook Air and iMac for a simple MacBook Pro set up + monitor.
Hi Arron I'd love to see you make a video on the different RAM comparison among 16G, 32G and 64G for the new Macbook pro and better compare those to 8G RAM M1 Macbook. Better give us a little bit advice on the RAM choice :)
I'm not put off of by the thicker Macbook. I think the specs. are worth the extra thickness and the notch doesn't bother me at all. The return of ports is most welcome!!! How many external monitors does this laptop support? Off topic, but what brand is your metal watchband. Nomad?
