  • Lone Rider Moto Pegs, available for the HD Pan America. Retail price is $300 at the time this video was made. Are they worth it?

    I'm very happy with the Camel pegs I bought. The Lone Rider pegs do look very nice though..

    I have these and have about 3000 miles, mostly off road and some fairly technical. As you mentioned they are a quality product. I love them. I also have their panniers and love them as well.

    Good overview, and thanks for taking the wallet hit. The pivoting is super trick.

    Just wanted to know if you are still happy with the LR pegs. After about 2000 miles the green inserts melted. I replaced with the orange ones and they melted too. Anna at Lone Rider suggested I install the red pins. I did but they don't pivot with the red ones. Not real happy with them.

      no issues so far on my end, still using the inserts that came preinstalled.

    Thanks for the video, I have this in mind for such a long time, would you recommend to not use the rubber on top as I heard that they can be a bit slippery so most people will go without. Cheers

      I leave the rubber inserts in for day to day street riding, but take them out if I’m hitting an unpaved road and doing a lot of standing.

    Thank you for your video(s). I noticed with my "Pivot"" pegs on a GSA that the distance for the left boot to conduct gear changes shortened dramatically and required serious adjustment. How did you find these on the Pan Am (which I have since purchased second hand - first model with repetitive electrical display issues)?

      I don’t feel much difference with shifting or braking, but I do need to widen my stance at stops a little since these stick out further. But I adjusted to that pretty quickly and don’t even think about it now.

    I cant remember what channel it was, but one reviewer had the left foot peg brake off during an off road test. I hope that was an anomaly rather than the norm. I'm sticking with stock parts as long as I can.

      Wow, hopefully they were able to get them replaced by Lone Rider. These things feel very sturdy and well made, but anyone can have a faulty product slip through.

      @@MikesMotorbikeChannel It was a stock peg that broke. Your pegs look indestructible

    Hey Mike, what type of chain wax do you use?Thanks!!

    • @MikesMotorbikeChannel
      @MikesMotorbikeChannel  Год назад

      Usually Bel Ray Superclean, but I’m not too particular. Once in awhile I’ll give it a deep clean and apply gear oil.

    After 5 months of riding do you feel that the Lone Rider pegs were worth it?

      I certainly like them better than the stock pegs. But I don’t have any experience with any competing pegs to compare with. I still have no regrets with buying them, I do like the pivoting feature and they work great on and off road.
