One may not forget, that before World War II most radio stations in Germany used towers built of wood, similiar to that in Gliwice, some even taller ( tallest was in Mühlacker from 1934 to 1945 with 190 metres). Most of them were destroyed at the end of World War II, others were demolished in the following years, the last in Germany in its actual borders in 1983.
