So, this was my first robotic vacuum cleaner, and I have to say that I LOVE Bob. I actually just (about 2 minutes ago) finished my first maintenance on it. For the price, (we bought it for a little more than $300 on Amazon), It's well worth it. We have four cats, and this thing sucks up cat fur and displaced grains of litter. Before buying it, just be aware of the limitations. 1) It does NOT mop your floor. 2) You have to do maintenance on it. This means, it's not some magical machine that will get rid of the crud that it sucks up. You have to empty it out on your own. 3) If you have long hair and shed your long hair, you will need to bust out some maintenance skills every once in a while and cut those long locks away from its spinning wheel thing. Make sure you don't lose the little screws that are needed to put the robot back together! 4) Sometimes it doesn't dock on its own. But, who TF cares? You have an amazing robotic vacuum cleaner that cleans your floors while you're gone. I'm out!
Great video. I'm wondering if you continued using the Bobsweep and if you are still impressed with it? I am very curious how it does along baseboards. All my pet hair collects along the edges and in the corners. Also a lot of the reviews say it doesn't return to the docking station. Thanks
This is a great product and the customer service is beyond excellent🌼 We have 4, small dogs , in our home so we have a lot of pet hair. Bob gets up so much stuff you can't even see! Whenever I've had any type of issue, though always minor, bObsweep's customer service has come through with no room for improvement.
General rule of thumb, when a reviewer starts out by telling you how excited he is it means he will bullshit you the whole way through, this should really be called advertising.
My bObsweep would get stuck under a storage cabinet i have with wheels on it. It would try to get out but could not get indexed just right to escape. It would bump into the wheel and need to turn maybe 5 degrees to exit but would turn about 15 degrees and bump into the wheel on the next corner of the cabinet. On the next round it would keep turning to the same index mark as the previous attempt and not be able to escape. It did this about 5 times and I finally freed him myself. Other than that I am happy with it so far but I have only had it 3 days. Too early to tell what I think of it long term.
good review - I noticed it picked up lots of hair but no solides . it is so hard for a vacuum to pick up solides on bare floor using a spinning brush . The objects get tossed away from the machine .
Why won't my bob work I am charging it with the cord in bob himself and I have it turned on.... It is flashing charging but for some reason when I unplug it and remove it from the charging unit nothing happens when I press the buttons..... The screen does not light up at all. Is it normal for bob when he is charging and it is flashing charging the number is displaying. First it was 1 and now after an hour or so of charging bob now displays number 2, Can anybody help me with this..fyi it has been charging for hours and always displaying a number
2020 looking to purchase as a gift. Little concerned how well it mops. I get that uppity wet the pad that you place on it and that is the mop. Some thinks that works well and others do not. Overall looks to get good reviews.
How is it holding up now a few months later? I have been researching these and find that almost always people prefer the Roomba. Been wanting one but its too expensive. I would like Bob, but not if I'll need a new one sooner than the Roomba. Also, was it worth it? Is it keeping house clean as you imagined it would?
babydoll33012 Honestly you're good with either a roomba or Neato. I personally have the Roomba 960 and it's excellent, heavy duty and so easy to clean! I would say the only pro over the Roomba the Neato had is the bigger garbage compartment.
into the 5th month of operation, clean him once a week and it never misses a beat. Bob is a good little vacuum and reasonably priced. yes it does a very nice job of picking up, even the stuff you can't see, like the video said.
babydoll33012 I bought mine during Black Friday shopping. And use it weekly. Sometimes twice a week. I love it, it's not perfect. However, nothing is. The dust bin is bigger than the rest which means it holds more. It can also mop which the others do not.
Hello, to be honest that was a feature I didn't try out, I'm not sure why but to be honest I skipped it for some reason. Try to read the amazon reviews for it on amazon and read what others are saying about the moping, sorry I could be of more help. I'm link the amazon listing here. amzn.to/29DcUg3
Another problem with this thing - NO lighthouses/virtual walls. You can't confine it to doing one room. My iRobot Professional came with two virtual wall/lighthouses, each one about 4" tall and about 3" around. These each have a battery that lasts for months, and are turned on by the vacuum itself when it starts up and turn off by themselves.
I am sure they could put more features into this with programming, but you wont pay 300.00 bucks for it anymore. They do sell the Block on their website which does the same thing as the virtual walls, but why? Just close doors when you don't want it to go some where, BOOM an instant WALL
thank you for the info. but it almost sounds like this is your first robotic vacuum... hard to review something if you have to basis to compare from. if its not maybe use some compare and contrast on your next review.

We have the newest bob sweep and it gets stuck a lot. I have had to put spacers under my kitchen and bathroom cabinets because it would jam under the foot space. Also gets stuck on the edge of my area rug which I don't think is all that high. The program that is runs is very random and often runs out of charge before it gets done. I don't know how this would compare to other robot vacuums on the market but I think the engineers have more work to do. The best thing I can say is if you have a pet it is still better than only vacuuming once a week.
My iRobot 680 is better than this bobsweep. It went from hardwood to rug, which as u can see from this video Bob didn't manage to clean the rug. My Irobot ran from hardwood floors to tile, which the tiles were 1 1/2 inch taller.. I think bob would of had more diffulty. Although i really like the style of bob i wish it was control with an app.
Just Sharing-I just bought Bob pet hair, not feeling it the same as you. Notice Bob does not clean the whole house, just the front room, I have only one floor but notice he gets caught on house slippers, wires, carpets, it came with an extra blue brush not sure if that is something special cleaning tool for something else. It runs for 80 mins, for me, that is more than enough time to clean the whole house, only 1800 square feet. It gets caught under my bed with power wires also, does not notice water bowls on the floor for my animals!
not a human... its a robot, do a little pick up session on your water bowls as they look like walls to BoB and since they are fairly light they will be moved out of the way.

I haven't been paid... and my BoB does exactly the same things his does. Yes there are times it runs into trouble but that's just being a robot, not a bad product. Roombas and Neatos will also run into problems, they are robots (electro-mechanical devices designed to do an arduous task, controlled with programming on a microprocessor or other type of computer). Bottom-line, this product does exactly what it is designed to do, sweep/vacuum and they do have great customer service as well. There isn't a robotic vacuum out there that will not eventually fail, customer service is the big difference when that does happen, and it will.
Good review. I was wondering how the mop feature works but you don't use either (It does not seem really useful since it gets dirty and dry really fast). I had to made some bumper extensions www.thingiverse.com/thing:1735202 because I was experiencing something similar of what you shown in the video about bOb getting stuck under the furniture... it is because the design is lower in the front (dumb design in my opinion).
