He is the only one in the final stage who played the No.1 concerto in F# which is much much harder than No.2

@@guillaumepolack7598 I agree but I’m talking from a technical stand point mostly. It’s hard to make it sound good musically as well cuz imo it’s not written that well anyways. His second concerto is def not easy don’t get me wrong but it’s def written a lot better than his first

Arguably the best version of this work. Exceptional control. Never heard the 1st concerto performed at this level in Wieniawski Competitions.
I think ray Chen's one is better. Rays one is really powerful and full of life

I believe this concerto will define the winner as it did at the 14th competition when the winner Soyoung Yoon won. It’s such a difficult composition to perform live, especially at a competition.
Dayoon opened my eyes to Wieniawski, and I realized that wieniawski concerto no.1 was so beautiful and awsome thanks to Dayoon's performance.

It really is time that way put to bed the myth of the superiority of Strad and G violins. There are many examples.

Just checked the detailed results of final stage and Dayoon actually got the lowest score for the wieniawski concerto among all finalists....Chair gave him the lowest score among all jury members 14/25 lol
I personally don't understand that. The audience's reaction after his performance proved how well he played this difficult piece... Sometimes music competitions don't seem fair at all!
@@juyeonpark856 And the thing is I did not see any fatal technical flaws with his rendition (like Hina's horrible staccato in 3rd movement), while Soyoung won the competition 10 years ago with a fatal mistake in the last 15 seconds of the concerto. I guess it's all about artistry/musicality then, need some professional violinsts to explain this lol~
@@juyeonpark856 Competitions in music are stupid and juryes ALWAYS have BIAS, true artists know that comps are only good for makeing themselves known, for example, till this time, i didnt knew anything about Dayoon You. Now, im following him.

Nie wiem jakim cudem ten człowiek zagrał to na tym poziomie i przebiła go dziewczynka z okropnym d-mollem i średnim Brahmsem. Następnego konkursu nie będę śledził... Osoby przechodzące z etapu do etapu wybierane są zamkniętymi oczami do stopnia gdzie Ambasador konkursu wyśmiała wyniki I etapu i była zmuszona usunąć post. Niestety podium zajęły pupilki a nie dobre skrzypaczki. Żenada.

I agree, there was a bit too much glissando in this performance in my opinion, but I guess it's a style thing
이 곡은 아무리들어도 길 샤함 녹음본이 최고다.
He is good but do you remember Soyoung yoon? I think that her performance was better because she played more from hurt, she is more musically. He is too mechanical maybe better intonation in the last notes (I guess C sharp) but interpretation Soyoung is better for me.
