Karachi has always been a twin to Mumbai regarding the law and order situation. This is not the worst stage of Karachi. You have no idea how bad it was 10 to 15 years ago. It was literally the same as Mumbai. Dawood ran Mumbai from Dubai and Altaf Bhai ran Karachi through England. Rangers did a massive crackdown and the city was much better. But now, it's back to that stage.

I watched your full podcast, and it took me 3 days to complete your podcast due to my tough routine. I am really disappointed that you did not discuss the main issue in Karachi, which is street crime. Currently, this is the biggest issue in Karachi. You should have discussed it with Murtaza Wahab; it would have been interesting to hear his views on that matter.

That Angraiz lady who came from U.S for kidney transplant just took benefit of senseless and dumb policies of Sindh hospitals, These govt hospital works on local people tax money to facilitate only local people, not for the people who work and live abroad. Well, I'm not a PPP supporter but PPP is closest to people than any other parties. It is why they have been winning Karachi and Sindh most of the times. No other party knows local issues than PPP. MQM never explored most of the districts in Karachi. PTI came, gave hope, won elections and ran to be found nowhere near Karachi in whole their tenure. Jamat has been gaining ground lately but they have possessed the unprecedented damage to Karachi in past. One of which Mr. Barrister already addressed. The issue lies in the will, PPP always wills to complete their tasks around elections. 💔

That's not true. Yes, they're responsible to get it on roght path. But you should know that Karachi got worsened in the 80s, 90s and 2000s, when it was Dictator Zia and Jamat was embed with him, then it was, Nawaz and MQM was embed with him and later it was Musharraf and MQM was embed with him as well. They are more to blame. Colleges and educational institutes were turned into bloodbath, extortion, drugs and bhatta were flourished in MQM's era. Yes PPP did enjoy the same rules of the game but they are not the whole and sole to be blamed for.

Replying to what he said during 4-6 minutes. Achaayi se buraai tou cover nahi ho jaati hai na. For example if we have Aku for best health and iba for the best education. We also want the best roads and transport. My transport needs will not be fulfilled by studying at a good uni, by working at a nice firm or getting health care services by aku. And many other issues too. All these things do not cover up for the KHARAB HAALAT.
Karachi's fundamental problem is administration. A city of this size cannot be controlled. This is why modern urban development is based on smaller administrative units. This makes it easier to devolve power to the grassroots, city management becomes easier, fixing responsibility and holding people accountable becomes easier. Everyone knows this. Why dont they do it? Because it suits the people in power. It allows them to make money through extortion, corruption, white collar crime, land grabbing etc.
Karachi has already been divided into 8 smaller administrative units. Meanwhile, Cantt areas are also part of Karachi's administrative support. KDA also plays a crucial role. A legislation is very necessary to define the roles of institutions. Unfortunately, whoever wants to do it right the other authority have concerns. 😕💔
