I completely agree with your assessment/ The the KZ ZS10 Pro was my first foray into IEMs, and although I have a multitude of IEMs now, I couldn't resist trying the KZ ZS10 Pro X to see if it really had ironed out the minor irritants its predecessor had. To my ears, the Pro X mellows the treble tone and gives a far better-balanced presentation. I choose these when I want to listen to EDM and pop. Great fun and not fatiguing Great review.

I have never had good IEMs, just terrible earphones. I recommended my bro the t2s, and he likes them but found them uncomfortable and so did I. My mom asked for my recommendation, I said zs10 pro, she loves it and both me and her think it's comfortable. I am definitely gonna but this for myself.

As I have both, I kinda 50/50 the Pro X. The Pro model which is my Hobby Entry, I love it bass which is the amount that I like and I think it enough to my preferance, While Pro X is increase a bit more Which I think it kinda unnecessary, just for me btw. Pro X Mid is improve and step forward a bit which is great, Pro is kinda back a bit and kinda shy to stand out sometimes. Treble which are the prob with the Pro Model, have some sibilance and peek which have to fix, and Pro X fixed it, Not all of them sadly, there are still some note that will peek but not frequencely like the Pro model.
I will rec like this. If you are still look like for more neutral sound but you have to deal with Peek Treble on some note and frequency, Old Pro Model is still great til this day and you will not disappointed (Only you got the defected one). If you looking for little more V-shape but still cohesive enough to not bleeding your ear too much, Pro X is good pick at the price. If you have the Pro Model, not recommended to get because it almost identical with the Pro X. While....If you want to try KZ ZS10 lineup, just get the Pro X, don't bother the old, get the newer version is much more sense, Just imagine; Less bass, and more peek note on Treble.

I've been using Chi-Fi IEMs for about 10 years now as cheap headphones I can beat up at school and work, and these are the first ones that have actually wowed me, even disregarding the price. For 6 years I had a pair of UiiSii BA-T6s which, while good, were more of just a bassline decent sound with but zero soundstage, and they had a tendency to compress really noticeably at the volumes needed to compete with the night manager's speaker system - but they're no longer available so I had to find new IEMs when the cable finally crapped out at work and these have become my new work headphones. Obviously there's no active noise cancelling, but if you stick a pair of memory foam tips on these they do a good enough job of blocking out the outside world, which I consider to be black magic given they have 5 holes dotted about for the drivers. They sound good enough that a few people I work with have ordered some for themselves after showing them to them, with a few commenting on how they'd never noticed elements of songs before including Bongo Man in September by Earth Wind and Fire, the little synth in the right ear just before the drop in Wake Me Up by Avicii, or about 90% of any early Queen song - and these are people who use gaming headsets that cost 3-5x as much at home and Airpods at work.

I could not believe it. After your and several other reviews, I got these. HOLY S*&! So, I listened to rando tracks of mine and Brother, Alice in Chains, came on. I've heard this song 100's of times - AT LEAST - since released in '92. I start in, chilly tension builds, feels like im in the studio, phasing is just so lovely, then the chorus kicks and BANG could not only hear the background vocalist crystal clear, I COULD TELL WHO THE SINGER WAS! My brain was like...'uhhhh, is that who I think it is???' Sure as anything (googled it) IT WAS HER - Ann Wilson from Heart! Whaaaaaaaa??!! For me - this is like when Mario snags a mushroom power up into a fantastical sonic portal! I'm in a bit of shock here. OH, AND the volume floor level I listed at is crazy LOW now with these. I can literally begin to hear at (1 to 100 scale, PC) Volume 1, 12 is comfortable level, and 20 is starting to really get busy. This is out of the box, NO custom tips...JUST +/-$49 and my world has forever changed. My hearing clocks low end just above 14Hz and High end just below 15KHz - a bit better than most normal human range. This is by NO MEANS a technical measurement, but self-tested through various means. I'm just a regular Dude, abiding along the way. After super early impression, I would highly recommend these. My next step is the KZ AZ 15 wireless addon! If you're just an average Joe/Jill - there's is no way you will be disappointed with these. Just really affordable and the sound is dynamically impressive!

I bought these. I had no idea stuff like this was available at such a price. I play the drums in various bands and have used Shure SE215's and SE315's for monitoring because they are the go-to standard for the average gigging musician. They are well over 100€ and sound pretty much like a telephone with some weird resonances that (literally) give me a headache. So that was my "benchmark" for IEM's.
And oh my dear god, these actually have a very good enjoyable sound. Not just good for 20€ but.. they sound quite good, period. They are sensitive and go ridiculously loud with a cheap dongle.

Review on ZS10 pro X in comparison to 7hz Zero.
    Instrument separation is well defined.
Horizontally wider sound stage than 7hz zero, but vertically not much.
Vocal is less in front than zero.
Less details or layering than zero.
Fit is as good as zero, I could wear either for 5 hours without any discomfort.
Very forward, fun and aggressive sound.
For long time listening, definitely zero will be less fatiguing to ears.
As long as there is good sealing, wider bore tips still deliver powerful enough bass, thumpy, punchy, tight and heavy with lots of rumble. With narrow bore tips, there is too much bass and also everything sounds a bit muffled. Wider bore tips recommended.
This is tuned very much V-shape, so it should inevitably choose music genre but it's more tolerable for different genres. I enjoy EDM, dub-step, drum&bass the most. But hip-hop, jazz, rock are still enjoyable. And classical is even acceptable as treble stay clear and vibrant.
It doesn't sound natural or neutral at all, as that's the characteristic of V-shape. This is for basshead who wants more than just good bass.
If you want exciting, fun, and bass heavy sound, ZS10 pro X.
If you want more detailed, analytical, and relaxed sound, 7hz zero.
Remember 7hz zero is half the price of ZS10 pro X, that's not to say 7hz zero is better.
They are quite different in sound signature, and they are both very well made. I don't want to choose one, but if I had to, I'd probably choose ZS10 pro X for it's juicy bass and overall quality.
