    Another great video from you guys at Transporter HQ very informative. Decided to go for the Eibach springs, mainly because of the cost, still love the B14 coil-overs but maybe save those for another day 🤔 .Any plans to open up again to walk in customers Andy ? would like to pay you a visit but with everything that’s going on safety first ! Hi Grate Vid, I am looking at a LWB 4M T6.1 van and I will have a trailer on the back every so often , but I want to lower it about 45mm and still have a comfortable ride , what do you recommend, would the B14 Comforts be the correct ones and would I need the drop links at 45mm?

    • @THQAutomotive
      @THQAutomotive  4 года назад

      Is it a T30 or T32? Komforts would be a great option. No with setting the coilovers on the highest setting you would be fine with the original drop links.

    How do the stance+ streets fit into this lineup?

    • @THQAutomotive
      @THQAutomotive  4 года назад +1

      The are the best of the budget coilovers, but they are budget coilovers. You are removing £1000+ on genuine VW parts and replacing them with a full set up that retails for £275, think what they must have cost to produce. Having said that stance are very good value, out of all the copy’s and budget options, they are the best in our opinion.

  • @Maxrom

    I'm considering the twin monotube project low coilovers. However, my van is an empty T28 6.1 and I'm worried that without any weight in the back, the ride will be really harsh. A bit of weight often helps soften the ride, but on an empty van, should I be worried about ride quality? I've driven an empty T30 6.1 and that was a rough ride on standard suspension on anything other than a perfect road.

    • @THQAutomotive
      @THQAutomotive  3 года назад

      The ride will still be considerable improved changing to those coilovers. Yes it does help to have some weight in the back but its not essential.

  • @TomAshworth

    Why do people lower their vans other than to make them look cool. On a new 6.1 is the standard ride height optimal ?

    • @THQAutomotive
      @THQAutomotive  3 года назад +1

      Standard ride height feels terrible. I remember the day my T6.1 arrived and I took it down the road. It felt terribly compared to a van lowered on quality coil overs. So bouncy, wallowing around and not comfortable at all on standard suspension. It went straight from there to the ramp for air suspension.
