Im on silver too, few days ago I got a match against 3 cheaters, two of them were just with walls, but the soldier was rage hacking both aim and walls. i called him out after some time and he admitted to be cheating, he said "its aimhacks, baby". We won the game but it was sad that his team was pocketing him and all that shit. cheaters in silver are more common than people think it is, and thats messed

They probably climbed out of bronze with the help of the cheats but didn't improve anything else that would let them survive outside of bronze.

I had a cheater in qp on hanzo in the kill cam you can see him snap to an invisible sombra decide not to shoot at her then snap to me on lucio and kill me, i reported him but wanna give him credit for not being a total idiot and realizing shooting an invisible character is a little sus

Honestly if I was stuck in silver and couldn’t get out and it bothered me that bad, I’d have two options: Spend time getting better at the game or stop trying and play something else. Overwatch is a difficult game there’s no shame in admitting you can’t climb
What is hard about cod? Apex is the most difficult to play at a high level at least of BRs or traditional FPS. Overwatch obviously isn’t in the same realm but yeah

it can be any button, why they put it on melee is because they are dumb. i remember seeing a video form like 2018 where a guy talked about his cheats in cod and that is what they said back then

I don't understand why these players play so damn safe. If I was a hitscan with aimbot you best believe I'd be going for the deepest flanks known to man. Especially on widow, one good flank and you've killed 3 before they even find where you are.

Even if the enemy team didn't pick up on the cheating they at least were smart enough to recognize the widow was the threat
I had a widow hit multiple head shots killing the whole team and head shot me out of sombra while invisible and knew exactly where people were it was quick play and I wasn’t surprised when I saw the play of the game and you saw them shooting a little after every kill to tone down the Accuracy
He had both wallhacking and triggerboting the favorite duo of most of the cheaters.

Ik they have ban waves to combat hack dev detection methods, but at the same time if someone is rage hacking like this... It doesn't take a genius or new detection methods to find this guy out, just ban him and cleanse the game of another cheater. Reserve the ban waves for closets that actually remain hidden from reports

I am so traumatized with cheaters that when I have a teammate that rolls the other team I get paranoid and stop healing them. 😢 I am in silver and it has a lot of cheaters.
So sad how every game has cheaters in it now... they really have to do something drastic to stop this or the game is dead. How much you wanna bet the Blizz dev team puts more time into hiding how many cheaters there are now than they do into stopping cheating.

This year has been the worst for gaming too many cheaters and hackers
@Overwatch2 should make a draw button where if 3 people on each side agree (or the majority) the game ends in a draw. This will also make it to where any mode can be a draw.
This would also mean that drawing has to be either a lose or nothing because if it was a win for both sides people would draw all the time.
This will at least make it where we can fight back against cheaters sense the anti cheat doesn’t work at all.
When flats said what's the point of cheating, to make others miserable
I’ve seen cheaters like this. They usually have their cheats cranked up, but play passively so they don’t use it much. It helps them closet while rage hacking at the same time.
Im starting to wonder how many cheaters I've encountered but just not realised since they were so bad that it just looks like they got some lucky shots off when I watch the killcam.

It is legitimately so sad to see. Like, how could your ego ever recover, that even with an aimbot you still can't kill anybody, and can't contribute in any meaningful way to your team. I feel like if I was this person, this is where I would start reevaluating my life and relationship with video games.
So, the situation in a nutshell: The player is smart to know how to hack their game, but not smart to know how to build raw effort and skill in being a better player.
He's not smart at all cos he or she isn't a hacker only a cheater who has bought cheats from a cheating website.

Genuine Question, is the Defense Matrix anticheat even on right now? This has been going on for quite a while, and nothing has happened. I can't think of any other reason. Even for ban waves, they should have done it at the start of the season, at the latest.
It's so crazy to me that someone can hard cheat without it seemingly able to be picked up.
i think the reason silvers dont notice hacks sometimes is that there are so many smurfs in low elo that usually its just a smurf - and unless they pay attention to the killcam they wont notice it

dude it’s so bad in these lower ranks. I was trio’d up and we had two games back to back of cheaters (wide match S5 - plat 3). first guy turned them on after I slept him and killed him on Ashe, he only really got caught because he perfectly tracked our Lucio in speed boost coming around a corner. in real time, it was .5 seconds, we started FLAMING him for rage hacking (his account was silver 5). the second match was someone with walls. his aim was a little sus but he definitely had walls. it’s crazy out here in these metal ranks.

I know there’s cheaters that can hide their cheats and that can be hard to detect yea BUT why can’t it detect rage hacking , like spinbotting isn’t something a normal person can do yet they don’t get banned.
I tried getting back into OW due to the transformers collaboration and found a spimbot reported them and 2 games later the same guy doing the same spinbotting like come on it was a mistake coming back when Chester’s are this rampant can’t even enjoy quick play

Its not that they cant identify it....if you go on the forums you will see people outright deny cheating even exists. Its so prevalent in qp and people act as if its not real. This community has become as delusional as the devs are about the legitimacy of this game.

I played against this widow last night, dude had 26 kills and every one on his team had no more than 11 kills. He literally never missed ana would switch from widow to ash and back to widow

Ok new theory on cheaters, I wonder if they also thing that the hacks will make them a god and that they dont have to play in the most optimal way. Like they think they can get away with shooting at one person bc they have an aimbot, but in reality there is a cass dinking them on the head they are ignoreing bc thye think they can. Obviously there are many that are just bad but thye may also try and push there luck bc they think they can. I used to do this in rec basketball when I would just mess around, but my dad told me to stop doing it because it creates bad habits getting away with stupid shit against worse players, and having hacks unfortunately makes the other players in the game worse than you, creating the bad habits.

The fact that they were adjusting the cheats after every death implies that they blamed the cheats for every death and never once thought that THEY were the only problem. Also I think they missed every midair shot even while cheating, which is an accomplishment in itself.

dont know if its the same one. im in the same range being silver. i chose widow in my game and a person with the same name was typing in chat constantly upset over me having widow.
seeing cheaters like this always makes me frustrated because they don't bother to learn the facets of the game or hide it or anything like that. as a 7-year player, i'd probably climb to gm or champion with perfect aim
