To see you both smiling after having engine trouble with Morgan, because of the kindness of strangers, filled my heart. People are put into our lives for a reason, we just have to be open to the possibilities. Beautiful!
For future reference and an easy way to diagnose if your alternator is knackered you can test it easily. What you do is when it's dark because it's easier to see, turn your headlights on and if they get brighter when you rev the engine each time you rev it's a sign that the alternator has had it. As soon as you said you'd just replaced the battery and the light had come on it just had to be the alternator. Your old battery I guess you replaced because it went flat might not have had anything wrong with it.
I sometimes forget good people still exist with all the bad things going on around us. What wonderful people you guys meet just when you needed them ❤
most people are lovely, it's the noisy ones that attract attention that aren't nice.

I know Having broken down last week in Scotland whilst towing our caravan , I felt for them , I really did. We had to get our son in law to drive to Scotland , ironically he had just bought a banging battery charger that also charges all 🔋. Having towed our other little caravan up with them, which they have claimed , they too had a wonderful weeks holiday with glorious weather. So all is well that ends well. This was turned into quite an epic adventure for Liam and Janine. Stratford on Avon is lovely and one of our Honeymoon stopping off points in our ancient VW Caravette. So it brought back memories. But that Morgan , I swear down he has a life of his own and Morphs into a truculent teenager. You just don’t know what Morgan is going to get up to next, but it turns out for the better. What a lovely couple the Restaurant owners were “Strangers are but friends we have yet even to meet”. It was almost as though Morgan was pouting , so you intend going off to India leaving me on my own huh . Well I will show you and have my own own little piece of Eastern experience 😜
We love your channel Liam and Janine, you both exude happy vibes, your hearts are open so good things come to you when you are in need. We are not far from Malmesbury so we are going to the Spice Merchants as soon as we can and thank them for looking after you ❤

My alternator was fixed in Ireland in a tiny village called knock! Wonderful mechanic!

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. It's a shame that Morgan cost your more money, but hopefully everything will be okay now. It is your home after all, and they are a money pit. call the RAC and wait for 4 hours...my battery light did the same and it was the alternator tho only a year old ...the split charge relay fucked it up.....£200 for parts and labour...but i did use a mobile mechanic
I have just bought a USB fan, they are amazing. They have so many settings too. They are also great for the menopause which I have to put up with. Mine lasts about 5 hours after charging.
Ive just bought the same 2000 today after having the 500 and 250. Bought it to plug into my van and for an air fryer as well. Gor a free sola power unit 200 watts and £150 extra off as well. Really good unit. Can add to it later and use it at home as well to save on bills. Great minds think alike x

Your battery bank will run any individual item that would normally be in a home, kettle, 2000 Watts, microwave 800 ‐ 1000 Watts. All appliances will tell you what the wattage is.

You have got some great summer electrical goods. I got an icecream maker in lockdown, they are great and also good to reduce food waste. My favourite is mango and coconut yoghurt icecream. The jackery is going to be a great thing to improve your quality of life, particularly in the summer

Those guys were marvellous, the food looked amazing, Tip: have a look at thePrestige Hi Dome Pressure Cooker, should be able to pick one up, at a boot sale, I dug out my mother’s, 50 years old, you can still get parts for them, gaskets and the pressure valve an weighs, produces a lot less steam in the van and less gas, potatoes 6 minutes cooked

Having said all that, it's almost a new van now, what with all the new parts, so onwards and upwards, and what a bit of serendipity, with the lovely people from Spice Merchant. Good luck with it all and enjoy Ireland.
When you are respectful in someone else’s country and treat people with kindness, you become family. This a great example of that.
Btw, the best butter chicken I’ve had was in NZ at a place also called the Spice Merchants.

Love the Kindle holder... I end up with Kindle, phone glasses everywhere as mainly stuck in a hospital bed at home so yep a, perfect fix.
I would suggest not that I want you to have more Van issues but buy 2 Hi Viz vests and a couple of road warning Triangles to make yourselves as visable as possible.
Im sure you don't want to hear this but citrons are known to be very temperamental but hopefully you won't get any more trouble with it now that you are coming over to the emerald isle safe travels you too oh and those Indian people were just amazing I've worked with Indian people in the past and i have to say that the are the nicest people in the world so decent and helpful. Enjoy Ireland and hopefully i will meet you on the road over here.
